she had to be the unluckiest person ever.

been only here a day, and already she was lost. not
able to find her way back to those old buildings that
the other survivors called their home. at least for the
time being. she on the other hand, couldn't stand to
be inside for more than a few hours, and most of those
hours were spent sleeping. she wasn't used to being
here. at all. she was still in a state of shock. disbelief
really, that this all had to be some dream. a dream she
had cooked up to entertain herself. she didn't know any
one else on the island. and frankly, she didn't take the
time to get closer to any of them. she was just too out
of it.

once she had woken up from the room they had given he
r she didn't ask for permission to leave. just sat up and wa
lked out. no one seemed to notice. or maybe that was beca
use she had been careful not to catch someone's eye. either
way, she was here now. lost. just as she should have guess
ed would happen if she wandered off on her own. but did she
listen to her instinct? nope.

now what? nimi looked around the surrounding area. tall thick
trunks of tree's spreading their weight, surrounding her. she d
idn't know up from down in this place. everywhere looked the s
ame in these woods, as if she was in a mirror room. reflecting
perfectly in all directions. she was starting to feel light headed.
which way to go, which way...

So far today was rather boring. Aubrey sat perched on a thick branch, the youth straddled the tree and was had her back leaned up against the trunk, slightly slouched. An apple was in one hand and white teeth with slightly more pointed incisors bit down into the juicy fruit. Being a shifter the brunette’s hearing was slightly more than the average human’s and she easily picked up Nimi’s footsteps which sounded like a rogue elephant crashing through the forest. Wrinkling her nose in disgust at the hideous racket, Aubrey bit the apple so she could hold it in her mouth, letting her hands be free, she began to nimbly climb across the tree, easily pouncing onto the next tree branch that just so happened to be connected to the tree that was closest to the other girl. Aubrey itched to switch into her fluffy red panda form and jump in front of the girl, scaring her. Dirty little human… She thought disgusted but then her mood changed when she saw the lost expression on Nimi’s face. Maybe just this once she could help someone… Maybe… Nope.

Aubrey swung down from her branch, easily landing on her feet in front of the other, her tank top was ripped revealing a tanned midriff and her black cheer shorts, well actually thank the lord those were intact and on today. “G’day, you look a little lost.” A smirk toyed at the edges of Aubrey’s red lips her golden eyes piercing as they glittered dangerously like fireworks. The youth’s Australian accent was strong in her greeting. Hmm, who is this jewel in my kingdom? The brunette wondered absent mindedly, running her golden hued gaze over Nimi, dubbing her both human and harmless. It probably was best to stick out a hand in greeting but no way was Aubrey going to get nasty germs on her hands from this dirty human. “You have the pleasure of meeting Aubrey Fletcher.” Came the girl’s usual snobby greeting as she looked at the other, waiting for Nimi’s name to be put in the conversation.
