David decided a few days ago to try to locate the experiments that got away from them. The first on the list was a Rein Walker He was not sure who this man, was all he knew was that he was infused with Rabbit DNA. So, he was an experiment that survived. That was truly all he needed. Walking through the forest, he watched as the trees made a strobe of light with every other opening. It was beautiful and it was dangerous.
David walked for a few hours, it seemed as if he was walking a maze. He was lost, but not. He knew where he stood on a map, but something was off. Maybe because he was a scientist and not a camper. As he walked the light began to dwindle at least he came prepared reaching into a bag he pulled out a flash light. It was not dark yet, but he had about and hour and the way he was going, he would leave once the night hit.
"Okay, this is where most rabbits come to burrow." He said dropping a ruck sack he began to take things out. The first thing was a tent. David was use to camping, he did it once in the scouts, but that was over 20 plus years ago. As he set the tent up the actual size of the thing amazed even him. "Now all, I have to do is... " With that he tossed his bag into the tent.
With his flash light in hand, David went for a search. He also had a list of questions that he wanted to ask them all. He just had to know why or what was causing them to die and live. David was lost, by the time he came around again. He had only walked for ten minutes, he assumed. Looking into the sky, he flicked on the flashlight. So, how will this go. Will he remember me or not. He thought.
Will I recall him? He added to the thought. One would think that they would remember the people they experimented on, but it was not a rememberable thing. They brought them in almost every other night. One or two or more would die, then you would have the few that survived out of no where and this person was truly one of the lucky ones. Well, unlucky, depends on how you feel about being a freak with rabbit parts and abilities.
As the mad scientist walked he entered the forest even deeper than before. The bright sky was now dim and murky, with traces of purple running through it. He liked the look of it, but not the feel. Night time was not safe around these parts. Everyone was prey to something else and some of those things he helped create. The rest are apart of nature. Once the sun was gone, David pulled out the light and turned it on fully. "Now, to find this Rein Walker." He said to himself.

Well, he had lived so far but being at six feet with these heightened senses and abilities had become an advantage once he was out here and the open and learned how to use them. For one thing he was out with the real air, not there, with so much more free space to roam. It was too bad for them they never saw the speeds he could get to and the height he could jump when he wasn't restricted by walls.
Now it was dusk once again in the forest on this island, one of the best times of day for those enhanced eyes of his or rather eye. The small amount of light was just fine with him as he made his way through the trees and underbrush. Sure, walking had become and an kind of step with those feet that now had him walking on his toes, which only added to his tall height, and an odd hop more than a stride.
Rein hadn't made it far on his little adventure, since he still wasn't quite on the way the forest worked, when those long sensitive ears picked up a voice. It was something that his mind registered as hearing before but he couldn't place it. Though obviously it knew who he was since he heard his name uttered as he followed the other.
It turned out to be a man, older than him obviously since he was still technically a child even if he didn't remember it himself, but yet he still couldn't place anything on the man. Rein moved as quickly as he dared being as quiet as possible to try and see the man's face. Now, practically in front of him, it hit Rein of where that man came from and it was that place. He never needed a name for it because their was only one place like that, but he had honestly thought he had gotten away from there when he hadn't woken in this forest not so long ago.
Though Rein didn't have much time for thought as the flashlight hit him and his eyes reflected back like the animal he was now part as the rest of his body was hidden behind 'found' clothing and the bushes in the growing darkness. Well Nobody likes to

David had been in the woods for a while now, it was well past 8 o'clock, but he was not sure if it was later or not. The sky feel to a dark, yet dark dark momentarily color momentarily. What was this called, it was dark to be twilight, yet to quite to be dusk. He kneeled to the round and sighed. He had walked for a minute, a mile or more to be specific. I wonder if he is even in this area. He thought as he placed his map on the ground.
Looking it over, so far all he could tell was that about 3 miles or more was a hut. He just had to go to it and check it. What else was he doing, nothing. He was spending his day in his office or a lab studying what made them... well them. David leered at the paper hard. He was not sure if they guy re-called him or trusted him, but it was a chance he was willing to reside in. From what the file on the man said. He was very good with his ears, and it's jumping ability was beyond compare or that was what he thought.
"Okay, I will walk down the street for around 27 minutes and then I hit a left." He reminded himself. To make sure Doctor Korvorkian moved his finger along side of the road on the map. Sighing he flipped through t the file once more, stopping on a photo of the boy, he to was very attractive. Thinking on that he pulled out a piece or paper. And a pen and started to take notes. So, he also was very pretty. He thought writing that down. It only took him a few minutes to have s few of of his tools put away.
Raising his head to a few noises, he turned and looked into the woods. What was out there, with his flash light in hand he began to flash it at random trees. "Who is out there?" He asked his voice sound very english at the moment. He was nt scarred of what was there, but what could be I guess. David, began to walk slowly towards the sounds. His heart racing, body, sweating. With each step it was as if he was losing his breath. He was freaking out more and more as he arrived by the larger trees.
"I won't hurt you." He proclaimed. "I just have questions to ask." He wanted to know why and who better to ask then the ones he worked with. The only reply he seemed to get at the moment was that of trees and crickets. It is nothing He thought as he turned around to leave. He would go back to his tent and try again tomorrow, but there it goes again. He was sure that he heard some rustling. "Someone or something is out there." He whispered to himself.
"Come out here. I don't have time for your crap. Whoever you are." he barked.

Rein was for once having a bit of fun following the man. It was almost like hunting, but that was something that could never sit comfortably in his mind. Now with this rabbit DNA in his system he was more prone to "hunting" plants if that were to be called hunting at all. Though following and observing was still interesting, to watch the older man try to figure out were he was going with all those papers and what not.
He moved easily in the near darkness though those feet of his still giving him away more than he would have like. Then again it just gave him more interesting things to observe as the man clearly was getting frustrated and maybe a bit paranoid yelling out like that. Something about questions and telling lifeless bushes that he wouldn't hurt them.
It was all quite a bit of fun for the seventeen year old, observing and then using such information down the line. Learning how they acted before they even knew he was there. Now just a bit more fun, more than just following.
Rein jumped out of the bushes landing easily behind the man with an audible thud as his feet hit the ground. Sure he was a lot different now with those long black and white fur covered ears that hung past his shoulders and those large feet with similar markings that had changed him so much, mostly hidden underneath those new baggy pants he had acquired. Also, the little poof of a tail that was so easily hidden. He looked at the man that one brown eye and the other covered with that ghastly white, his face quite expressionless as his mind still buzzed trying to figure out why a man from there was here. Remember When I Was

David was getting tired of this spying crap. He was not going to put up with it. He was scared. He figured that whom ever it was they hated him. As Rein stalked him, he closed his eyes. The he heard the thud. His heart skipped a beat and the English Doctor jumped. with a scream and a swing of the flash light. He was so, scared that he actually missed. He had jumped a tad to far back. His hazel orbs scan the boy in from of him. He was not sure, but he resembled the boy on the papers he had carried with him.
He had long floppy ears and one of his eyes had faded out. Flashing the light towards his face he smiled. "Hello, are you Rein... Walker?" He asked. His heart finally slowing down. "If so, I am Doctor Jenkins. I swear I want hurt you." He told the boy. It was true he was not there to bring harm, but it would be clear to him if the boy tried to kill him. He was the one responsible for his appearance at hand.
As he did before he glanced the boy up and down. Stopping at the feet, they also belong to a rabbit. His appearance was not as hideous as some, he was actually kind of cute. If you liked the rabbit thing. He was not sure what to do, his appearance made him nervous, if he was here how many more were near by. Was it just him or a group. David stayed still for a few minutes, before he began to walk backwards.
After only a few steps the doctor felt a tree on his back. Great, now what. He thought. Not thinking he stuck out his hand to the boy. He would be as nice to him as he could be. Expecially since he was not in familiar territory. It was all new to him, the first and last time he was up top was when he made it to the island. Everything else was brought to him. He liked it that way. He was safer down below. Things never seemed to go right when directly on the land above the labs.
Jeniks glance at the boy he was wondering how and why he survived. He did not want to ask him out right, but it was tempting. Looking at him more and more he smiled. You are very cute. He thought with a smile emergin on his face.
The thing is David could not stop thinkin about the experiments. He needed to know why everything went wrong with the first experiments. Like what casused the malfunctions. Looking at the man more intensly, he began to speak. "What..." Then he stopped. He did not what to scar him, but he so, he began to walk closer. Maybe if he would show that he is actually being nice the guy whould not freak and attack him.

The boy flinched at the scream, not even worrying about the flashlight that could have hit him. The sound was definitely not music to those ears of his and his eyes had shut tight for a moment trying to get the ringing to stop. Another reason speech was a nuisance, people were much to prone to getting louder.
The other somehow knew him and gave Rein a name for himself, but honestly that did nothing for Rein. The boy just remembered that he was from the place he was at previously though he couldn't recall why exactly. Though more importantly, why did he want him? That place was a horrid place as far as he could remember, whatever the pain and transformation didn't erase or black out, but he wasn't there anymore. It was all confusing to try to figure out on his own with so little information.
Then the man started to speak again but stopped and started moving forward. Rein tilted his head to the side as his nose twitched, a little rabbit habit that he had picked up even if his nose was still pretty much the same maybe a fraction stronger. His left hand gripped his right wrist behind his back with his hand hitting his tail underneath all that clothing as Rein watched the scientist move closer just like the scientist was watching him. The island had at least strengthened that fear of others so that he at least wouldn't try to run at the first sight of others but trust was still a long ways away. Nothing like This Person

David was nervous, but it seemed that the boy was more afraid, but honestly who could blame him. David was the man responsible for his mutations. The only thing he could do about it now is figure a way to link things of the past with things of the future. Looking at the man he smiled and spoke as slowly and softly as he could. "Don't be afraid, I am not going to hurt you." He said with his hand still out. To make things easier he stopped moving. If he recalled anything from all the pets he worked on and owned, rabbits hated loud noises.
While the crickets in the night sang and the stars sparkled he smiled. "I am not sure if you recall anything that happened to you before you got here, but if so, I would like to ask you a few questions." He said to the man. He figured that if he had patients then everything would fall into place. The bad part of that was, David had very little patients when it came to science. He loved to know what would happen when and how.
Not knowing and having to wait drove the doctor mad. Making him literally a mad scientist. His eyes slowly caressed the young boys figure, if you were to exclude the ears and feet, he was actually..."beautiful." He said aloud, eyes immediately giving signs of him being embarrassed. The doctor rarely got nervous, but when he did it was always because he was showing signs of affection, even if it was a small amount. He could have the link I am looking for. he thought on the subject at hand.

Rein remained still as the man had continued to move before finally stopping himself. If this Doctor thought that he could get Rein to move forward like a good little child, then that man was horribly mistaken. The only reason Rein hadn't moved yet was because the other hadn't gotten close enough to make the boy really worry.
His ears tried to move up again as he listened to the man, but all the muscles that required those ears to work like that had never really developed. Truthfully with all the changes that happened to his ears, he was lucky to be able to hear at all though his ears were able to move about an inch up but that was where they ended. Rein listened to the doctor not saying anything for quite some time. He had been like that even before going through all he had, he just never had much use for his vocal cords.
"Questions?" he asked finally though it sounded more like he was repeating the older man. Rein finally moved, his hand slipping from behind his back to his pocket where he pulled out a pink flower and stuck the stem in his mouth with the bloom hanging out on the long stem. It was another habit Rein had picked up living in the forest surrounded by so much vegetation.

David smiled greatly, he was surprised that the boy, could speak. He was beginning to think that he was going to have to kiss him to get a reaction from him. "This is wonderful." He said to the fact that he spoke. "Yes, questions. If it is okay with you." He said as he stepped closer. It was noticeable, but not by much. "So, would you mind me asking questions?" With that he gave a smile. He was not sure how this would work. Though he tried anyways.
"My name is Doctor David Jenkins and I wanted to know about you life before you came to the island. You know what you were like and what you ate." David just stood there, trying not to be to loud or to quite. He wanted to know how he could help. He was scared would Rein flip out and attack him or would he run to get help. Either way things could get bad for the Doctor and he did not want that.
With the night sky sparkling like a million little candles and the night owl 'Wooing'. David smile once more, this was a week of smiles and he enjoyed doing it. It made he question his facial muscles. He had never smiled before and now he was doing it constantly, why?

"Questions," Rein repeated again though this time with less curiosity. That seemed like all people here wanted to do was ask him this or that about the same thing over and over. It was really going against his policy of leaving talking to the fools, but here he was talking once again. Such a contradiction that he wasn't all to happy about.
Though before he even thought about even answering the man's questions the owl caught his interest. All that rabbit in him making him quite distracted even in front of a man that came from that place. Rein's head whipping to the right where the owl was. Those eyes moving quickly even if they couldn't really see the large bird when those ears had easily spotted where it was. He twitched his nose at it and then looked back at the doctor in front of him.
Well, maybe if he answered the man's, or as he had said Doctor David Jenkins, questions then he would leave it at that. "Before here, I was there," Rein pointed at the man not really sure how to explain it since he had no proper terms for here or there. All he knew was that before the island he was in that place, or the lab, with all those doctors because no real memories existed before that. Well, nothing that seemed more than just simple dreams.

The boy once more repeated the doctors previous question. He was not sure what was running through the boys head, but to find that out he was going to have to start the questions. The first question he wanted to know was apparently not going to be answered. Because Rein had answered that for him. Before he was here he was there, but what did that mean. "Are you talking about over there in the woods or over there across the water." Asked the doctor as he took a pen from his pocket. Kneeling down, he grabbed his clip board. "I only ask, because it will help me to help future experiments keep there human features." He said with a sly smile.
Getting closer he went to touch the boys ears. He was not sure how he would react or how they would feel, but it was a risk he was willing to take. Davids hand rested on the boys ear, he smiled and sighed. Removing his hand he began to write. His ears feel as if they belonged to a rabbit. Most likely from fusing to much rabbit DNA with his ever changing teen body. He wrote. With that he scribbled notes on the side. Try to use animals in the same age range or older test subjects.
After a few minutes of gazing he noticed that the boy had a pale eye, that he was thinking also came from a side-effect of the rabbits DNA trying to develop in a human. Walking around David rubbed the boys chest once behind him he felt on his rear. To david it felt firm, like someone who worked out, but then he felt a..."Tail?" he said questioningly. "You seem perfect, except for the minor set backs." He said.

Rein sighed evidently being misunderstood with what he had said. "No," he spoke a bit annoyed now, "before here I was there in that place with you. You were there half-wit." Here he was speaking, the other should be happy that he had done so.
Then it just got worse for Rein, talking was one thing but touching was a whole other matter. The touch of the doctor's on his ear sent a shock through his system and knees could have easily buckled and pretty much did, but he could lie to himself until the end of his days. Rein was about to go off on the man again when the doctor was touching him again.
That was when the man hit his little rabbit tail and sent another set of shivers through his shivers. "Aghh," was all he could manage, a mixture of anger and aha other things. Once Rein was right in the head again, the feeling of the touch gone from his system, he jumped back from the doctor a bit easily landing on his feet again now glaring at the man.

David watched as the rabbit boy shock and jerk, from the touch of his hand. He was sensitive. "Well, I am sorry, I misunderstood you." Spoke David as Rein moved away. "So, you really don't remember who you were before." He added to the previous statement. "And name calling is not permitted in my presence, I am trying to figure a way to fix the freakiness of what I made you." With those words said he walked closer to him as he was once more in front of him, he kneeled down and placed a had on the boys foot. "Remarkable," He said under his breath at the structure and power of the legs.
David glanced up at the boy, his bright hazel eyes just beaming in the light. "You know I find this fascinating. The way you look now, it is weird yet attractive." He told the boy as he lifted up his left foot, he was trying to see if the bottoms had morphed as well. Did they have the pink rabbit soles or was it just as smooth as a humans foot. His eyes slowly glanced at him, as if he had his guard up. He was sure that Rein hated this and he was not wanting to get kicked or worse.
"So, would you be willing to allow me to run, tests on you, to see if I could reverse the mutation, but allow you to keep the animals abilities?" He asked. It would not be a stretch, he was secretly running test on most of the subjects. As long as Mudo did not know that he was trying to make them appear more human. Then he thought about Lilith, he was in the lab, maybe taking his DNA would allow him, to make perfect test subjects.

Rein didn't say a word to the man's remarks while a million different lines ran through his head that was much worse than simple "name calling." Though Rein stood their with his arms crossed looking much like the pissed off teenage boy he was with good reason of all these questions and the man pretty much feeling him up.
What do you do when someone holds your foot up like so? Rein had no answers for himself but staring down at the man with those brown eyes. Even if this Doctor had "made" him as he said before it was all very strange for the boy as a hundreds of ideas of what he could do with that man so close to that foot equipped with strength and claws as well. Rein's entire foot structure and some of his leg had taken on rabbit qualities topped off with that fine and dense fur just like any rabbit would have that you could find at a pet store. He even had the sharp claws and the coarse compressed hair that covered his toes. No skin or a half way with pads like a cat, nope his feet went for the complete rabbit look inside and out.
He jerked his foot out of the man's hand, whether the claws cut the other's hands wasn't Rein's fault. It was as the Doctor had said before all his fault, he had pretty much given Rein those claws. He could only glare at the man at the mention of more tests. Why would he want to go through more of that pain and all those times the world went black? Was the other expecting him to actually say yes? "Tests?" Rein asked still not believing that one would ask that, then again this man never went through them himself. "I'm already half blind, lets leave it at that," that was probably the only answer the man was going to get on that choosing to ignore the man's other comments on his appearance.

As David was not surprised when Rein pulled his foot away. He was not surprised by the scratches that his hand took. "So, I am guessing you don't want to be fixed or perfected, I take." He said calmly as he stood to face the man eye to eye. "It seems that you blame me for the way you look, when in fact I am the one whom wanted to perfect the process, before placing anyone in it.” He told the boy, it was a lie he wanted to perfect it, but only by testing on others.
He was not happen with the way Rein was standing, it seemed he hand some anger build up. “So, you are half blind, that explains that eye.” He said with a mean grin. David figured that if Rein was not going to come and be his willing test subject once more, then he should try to piss him off. If it worked he could get Alice’s little rabbit friend to follow him down the rabbits hole, so to speak.
Walking over to the bag he had earlier, he pulled out a measuring tool. “So, you might not want test done, but as you may well know. I could care no less on how you feel about it.” He said walking back to the boy with the tool in hand, getting close he began to measure his ears. “Nice you ears are really coming in great.”
With that said he began to walk behind the boy. “Guess now, I should measure that little pom-pom on your ass, right.” He said as he placed the measuring ruler on the tail and just to see what would happen, he squeezed I a little to hard. “Hope, it is not to tight.”
