This was not home home. Though, with his twin brother Hibiki here on the island with him, it might as well be. Home is what the orphans made of it and it seemed that these two brothers stuck together like glue. No matter how much it hurt him sometimes, Eisei knew that he needed Hibiki and that Hibiki needed him. So he was glad they were here together. But right now he needed a little break.
Eisei had taken to wandering around the island blindly without even thinking about where he was headed. Along the way he'd seen many cute little animals, some of whom he was pretty confident shouldn't be native to an island climate. It was odd really, but Eisei had quickly come to realize and accept that this was no normal island. The animals did, however, make him miss the few that he'd left at home. His cute kitty he affectionately named Maru and the little stray puppy he fed that he called Gin.
The eighteen year old paused outside of what to be a string of caves. He looked up at them, pearl white teeth clamping down lightly on some of the metal piercings hanging from his lips. It looked somewhat troublesome and it didn't take Eisei very long to decide he didn't want to go in there.
So he took a step forward but something crunched underneath his foot. Blinking in confusion, Eisei looked down to the ground. There, protruding from underneath his sneaker, was a small silver and pink bracelet. A bracelet that he'd now accidentally crushed. Eisei crouched down to pick it up, examining it closely.

How long had she been walking? Billie couldn't keep her head clear enough to focus on the passing of time. She was having a crisis that she often dealt with at this place, one that came whenever it seriously occurred to her that she was going to be stuck here for the rest of her life. She was usually fine, able to go about her business without freaking out. It was during these frantic episodes, though, that she realized that her calm was probably denial. Just blocking the pain out until it exploded, letting it all out, and starting over. It was also during these times that she wondered if she was slowly starting to lose some mental stability. Great, now she was going to be the village loon! What was she doing here?! She was nineteen, just starting to live her life! How did she end up here?!
She fingered a small bracelet that encircled her wrist, a breathy sigh escaping her. Otto. She hadn't known him that long; a couple months, maybe. But he was sweet. And he was polite. And she never felt too uncomfortable or pressured around him. Billie remembered when he had given her the bracelet, stumbling over his words and just as nervous as she was when she saw it. Since then, it had never really left her wrist, becoming a permanent attachment. It always gave her butterflies when she looked at it and thought of him when she was back home. Now it only made her hurt to think of him, and the pain made her angry at him. It was unreasonable, but she couldn't help it. Her feelings for him only made life here more miserable. Her breathing sped up a bit as she glanced down at her bracelet. Just one more thing to make her hate this place! She pulled it off and tossed it through the trees, hearing it thud to the ground a distance away.
She slid down with her back against and tree and let her tears fall silently, too aware of the beat of her heart inside her chest. She sat like that for a few minutes, her head between her knees as she let her breathing even out. Her misguided anger dissipated as soon as it appeared, and she let out another sigh, getting back to her feet. As much as it hurt, he was still one of the best things she had on this stupid rock. She moved forward through the trees, her eyes scanning the ground for a glint of silver. Then, through the leaves she saw someone, looking in their hand. The sun shone off of it briefly, and she rushed forward.
"Hey! That's..." She froze, the color draining from her face. It was her bracelet, but it was the wrong shape. A line, instead of round like it was supposed to be. "No!" She rushed forward and pulled it from his grasp, desperately pulling at it to try to reshape it. It was when a portion of it broke off altogether that she stopped, letting out a cry. "No!" she repeated, her eyes watering. One of the best memories she had, and she had ruined it in a moment of stupidity. She glanced up at the boy who she had taken it from, not wanting to believe what had happened. "You broke it," she said quietly, her voice pathetic. It was broken. She felt ready to find a cliff and jump. She hardly knew anyone here on the island, and now she didn't have anything to remind her of anyone off of it. If the rest of her life was going to be here, she didn't feel like dragging it on.

He realized that this bracelet was probably something that someone on the island was missing dearly, and this bothered him because he'd accidentally broken it. A soft sigh escaped from Eisei's lips as he allowed the pad of his thumb to roam across the smooth pink stones. He imagined what he would feel like if he lost something special to him.. if he lost something that Hibiki had given him. It would nearly devestate him and for a moment Eisei's heart went out to the faceless and unknown person who owned this previously beautiful piece of jewelry. This was, of course, assuming that this bracelet had held some sort of cherished memories for them.
To say that he was startled when a voice suddenly rang through his ears was an understatement. Eisei gasped, his head jerking upward in order to see the source of the sound. He was surprised to see a blond woman rushing at him like she was hell bent, snatching the bracelet from his hand. The incubus pulled himself to his feet quickly, light contact hidden eyes wide with shock and horror. So this really was someone's cherished memory! He could tell by her reaction and the expression on her face that this bracelet had meant a lot to her. Instantly, Eisei felt horrible. "I.. I'm sorry!"
Even though Eisei looked hard and perhaps a bit unapproachable on the outside due to his crazy hair colors and the many piercings that were poked through his face and ears, he was really a sweet heart once he opened up to someone. He stared at her, wanting to reach out and touch her, to comfort her.. but he kept his hands to himself. Eisei knew that a lot of people didn't take kindly to strangers touching him. He really didn't feel like getting snapped at.
"I was walking along and I heard it crunch.. If I'd of seen it there first, I swear I wouldn't have broken it." All of that explanation perhaps wasn't really necessary, but Eisei was used to having to explain himself to Hibiki.

Billie immediately pulled her emotions back, burying them deep within herself so she wouldn't have to feel them right then. It was hurting too much. She pulled the bracelet in beside her chest and looked back up at the boy, who looked horrorstruck. She instantly felt regret for making him feel bad about it. It was her fault for throwing it away so carelessly, after all. "It's okay, she said, her voice still just above a whisper. Her fingers rubbed the flattened silver absentmindedly. "It's not your fault. It's just.. Someone I used to think was special gave it to me," she continued.
She couldn't help but notice that the look this guy was giving her was a bit contrasting to the way he appeared. Maybe if she was here long enough, she'd be similar, only the opposite. Blonde hair, light eyes on the outside, hard as stone on the inside. "But that's all behind me in this place. I should probably just forget it. I mean, I'll never see him again, you know?" She gave a little smile as if she were trying to make a weak joke about how they were stranded, but it fizzled away and her lips fell again to their neutral position.
"I'm sorry if I made you feel bad. It's just been hurting a lot more lately than usual. I feel like my emotions are on a shorter string since I got here," she paused, suddenly a little self-conscious. "I really shouldn't be laying any of this on you. You probably think I'm nuts." She gave her eyes a little roll. If he did, he actually might not be too far off.
