Bare feet danced across the hard ground as arms where spread into the air like a bird about to take flight. The white dress was hitched up suddenly as one hand flew down, grabbing the white fabric and pulling it upwards to reveale smooth cream skin underneath and red underwear but the youth paid no mind to showing her undergarment to the world and ran on a bright smile on her face even as weeds whipped across her path. Channler still found it rather diffucult to run so her other hand hitched up the other side of her dress and off she raced to god's know where. Finally the girl managed to come to a slight clearing with a tree rose up out of the sodden earth its might branches like stitches in the navy sky as evening began to turn to night. She wasn't suppose to be out here, she had rules you know about this little island. One of those was not to be out at dark that's when bad things happened to good people, thats when the killings and disappearances occured. At this dark hour hell would break lose worse then it did in the day. Channler was a strong believer in the supernatural but today she wasn't following her normal code of conduct. Perhaps it was because she had had a few shots of some strong vodka or perhaps it was because she simply didn't care anymore, but whatever the reason Channler had taken it upon herself to explore the orchard at night in a slight drunken stupor.
Everything was blury, and everything was colorful by the time Channler reached the great tree which she embraced with a hug, burying her face into the rough bark until it stung. Then Channler began to shimmy her way up the tree until at last she managed to perch herself on one of the thicker branches. She wasn't completly out of it, no Channler still had some sense left in her but that didn't mean the dark haired beauty wanted to use it. Tonight was a night for risks and stupidty, Channler let out a laugh at this thought. The peals rang in the silence.

It's not polite to watch her like that a voice said in Kieth's mind that was not her own. Her conscience? Perhaps, but if it was it had been a long time since she ever listened to it. Round black eyes blinked in the night as she continued to watch the dark haired human from her perch. Her lovely heart-shaped face shone bright against the dark sky as midnight came. This human was acting strange, but Kieth had no room to speak like that. It wasn't as if she never ran around like that, giggling into the night with her undergarments revealed. But of course she always made sure no one was around, whether human or animal...
The Barn Owl watched as Channler approached the tree at a swift pace, wrapping her arms around the trunk as best as she could in an awkward embrace. Kieth titled her head but remained quiet, watching as the girl climbed the tree to a branch just below the one she was perched on. Kieth let out a shree as only a Barn Owl could and lighted down beside the girl, but she had transformed just before landing. "Hey," she said with a mischievous smile, her dark eyes sparkling in the moonlight. Perhaps this would startled her, for she had appeared so quickly without any warning. But Kieth had a feeling that this girl was a bit drunk. Actually, it wasn't really a feeling. She could smell it on her breath. "Good night for a drink, eh?" she asked, titling her head as if she were still a Barn Owl. Her human and owl mannerisms had began to blend over the years since she had come to the island.

The youth hit the ground. Oh wait let’s not get ahead of ourselves now, rewind. The dark haired beauty sat with her dress hitched up, legs swinging wildly in the air to an off tune beat that was currently playing in Channler’s head. She had wanted to get zoned out of her mind but the vodka had been awfully strong and left her trying not puke the clear liquid back up. She’d managed enough shots to get her head spinning and line of vision blurry around the edges though and enough to forget her rules. More laughter bubbled up, spilling from raspberry red lips into the cool night air. She had no way of knowing someone was watching her, didn’t even feel black beady eyes run over her body as she ran through the fields and then scamper promptly up the tree, making a mess of herself. She kicked her legs up higher, making her toes wriggle in the dim light of the stars. This created more laughter from the mortal, her blue eyes glittering dangerously in the moon light.
Then a shrill cry lit up the sky and Channler’s hands flew up instinctively to block it out, unfortunately her legs were also in the air and she barely managed to catch herself. But of course the Fates seemed to despise the poor beauty and suddenly a girl was next to her seeming to be an owl one moment and then a lady the next. Whatever balance the girl had had was gone now and she was falling backwards. It didn’t take long until she hit the ground with an unhealthy oof, letting out a moan. The breath was knocked out of the youth leaving her head spinning. It took a few minutes for her to collect herself and then some more to actually sit up with a groan, rubbing her head. Channler drew her knees up resting her chin on them and then peering up at Keith through dark bangs. “Thanks you for almost a killin’ me, luv.”

Kieth bit her lip as she watched the dark-haired beauty fall, landing ungracefully beneath the rather large tree. The owl-girl leaped after her, noticing how painful the landing must have been. “Thanks you for almost a killin’ me, luv.” The fiery-haired shifter smiled and offered Channler a hand, replying, "Sorry about that sweetheart, 'should have thought more about my entrance." As Kieth peered down at this girl she couldn't take her nearly black eyes off of her. She was extremely beautiful, with dark hair and smooth cream skin. She had pretty blue eyes as well, and even though she was a bit drunk she still looked hot. "'Name's Kieth by the way. Mind me asking what your's is?" She offered another smile, brushing her flame-colored hair out of her face with her hand.
OOC: Sorry I am failing right now at posting. Too excited over possibly passing my EOC. =D

The girl was by her now, easily flitting from the tree to the ground where the youth sat. Her fiery red hair held Channler’s attention and she couldn’t help but reach out a hand in order touch the sleek strands. But try as she might she couldn’t reach so she took Keith’s hand letting the other girl pull her up and then running her fingers through Keith’s wild hair. The pretty youth let out a laugh leaning up against the other now, twisting so her side rested against Keith’s, looping her inside arm around the lady’s neck and using her free arm to twirl the strands of Keith’s hair. “Kei?” She giggled smiling up through dark bangs. “Kei, kei, keeeeeei.” She sang in an off tune melody then leaned back, revealing her neck line as she tilted her face skyward. It took awhile for the question to sink in, her name? what was it again? Channler’s brow wrinkled and the furrowed and a pout came across her face as she leaned heavily into Keith. Then a brilliant smile lit up her face, blue eyes glittering happily as she recalled her name. “Channler! I be Channlers!” She giggled going back to toying with Keith’s hair.

Kieth blinked her dark-colored eyes as the young human began reaching for her hair. She looked like she was about eighteen or nineteen, so they were really close in age if that were the case. Once the attractive girl with the bright blue eyes allowed her to help her up, she was leaning against her instantly for support. One arm was around her neck while the other was stretched to her hair, twirling the flame-colored strands in her fingers. “Kei?” Kei... No one even used that name before, but she didn't object to it. It was a nice little twist on her unusual name, which was traditionally reserved for males. Now was the question she had asked, on what the dark-haired beauty's name was. When she began leaning into her more heavily Kieth had to adjust herself to keep from losing her footing. It wasn't as if the girl was heavy, it was just the sudden weight shift.
She couldn't help but smile at her pouting expression. Was she too drunk to remember her name? Obviously not, for she answered just a second after the thought occurred. “Channler! I be Channlers!” Now she began to play with her hair again. Kieth rolled her eyes, but in amusement, not annoyance. "Well Channler, mind telling me why your out here so late? It's not a particularly safe time to be roaming alone." Wait, what was she saying? Kieth was such a hypocrite. She didn't set rules for herself. It was whatever she wanted to do and that was the end of it. But then again she had the benefit of transformation, and flight. Bird shifters were uncommon for their race, but obviously not impossible. Kieth's own father had been a Barn Owl shifter, which is where her own form came from. She even had a bracelet with a Barn Owl egg charm on it, which she had made when she was about eight. But now her concentration was back on Channler, who seemed so content in simply playing with her brightly colored hair.

She was running empty, the energy or whatever she had had earlier was slowly slipping away from the dark haired youth and she was starting to get sleepy and bored. No longer was she content with just leaning up against the other and looping the brightly colored strands around her index finger. Channler yawned, her paper thin eyelids began to droop over her wild blue hued orbs as she hung onto Keith. Burying her head underneath the older one’s chin, humming softly to herself. “Kei….” She whined softly as she fought the internal battle with the liquor that was dampening her usual high spirit. Channler nuzzled the older girl which reminded her of her sister Lizzy greatly with her wild hair and somewhat sweet demeanor. Lizzy had always taken care of Channler, always, but now the fair beauty was lost on this island without her older sister to protect her. Channler moved her arms down, wrapping them around Keith’s waist, closing her eyes.
As in earlier statements, Channler wasn’t totally wasted but this had been her first drinking experience which made her head swim and stomach flip, making the youth groan. Had she really needed to drink that nasty stuff? At the moment it had seemed so but now, not so much. The question barely penetrated Channler’s spinning head, it was faint and echoey but she managed to summon an answer. “Derno. Takes me hoooome, puh-lease.” She asked sweetly, no idea where her house was she hoped that Keith would take pity on her and take her back to her place, highly unlikely and probably not a good idea to go off with someone you just meet especially when you meet them intoxicated. But Channler did not want to go back to her run down little two roomed house if you could even call it that. The pretty girl screwed her eyes shut tighter as a breeze picked up, swirling mist of the land. “Puh-lease, Kei?” She asked looking up into Keith’s face, snapping those wild blue eyes open as they took in what features they could make out of the other girl.
ooc;; I don’t feel like making a new thread at the house so if they do go just rp it here

It was so weird how Channler's hanging all over her wasn't bothering Kieth. She wasn't much for affection or anything like that, yet she allowed the beautiful youth continue. She looked so tired, and now her head was resting under Kieth's chin, arms wrapped around her waist. “Kei…” Kieth's hand moved to the girl's head, brushing her dark-colored hair from her eyes which were now closed. What was she going to do with her? She said to take her home, but where was that exactly? The wind picked up, sending Kieth's flame-colored hair flying all over her face. She attempted to brush it aside but it wasn't working too well. “Puh-lease, Kei?” She sighed, knowing it was probably a bad idea but going against her own thoughts. Kieth lifted the youth carefully, though it was a bit difficult to carry her. Kieth wasn't some macho chick, but she'd manage. Her plan was to take the human to the village, where Kieth lived in a small but decent house that had been abandoned when she had found it. It would be a pretty long walk, and she wished so desperately she could just fly there, but such was not the case. Instead she would go on foot, carrying a half-drunken girl that she barely knew. Well, this turned into an interesting night fast.

It wasn't the greatest place to live, but honestly there wasn't much more you could hope for on the island. Kieth walked into the house with Channler in her arms, heading for her bedroom. She placed the human on her bed, unsure what she was going to do now. She'd have to take her to her own home, but she couldn't do it without instructions as to where it was located. So Kieth sat on the edge of the bed, watching the beautiful girl with her dark eyes.

She woke up around noon, her head ache light, only toying with the sides of her head like a shadow she couldn’t quite see. Blue eyes snapped open only to find a new ceiling overhead, not the usual one that greeted her with roughly sketched flowers on it and the occasional spider scuttling across. Where the hell was she? The youth sat up quickly but only found the light pain in her head rouse, blinding her and she fell back into the pillow, her dark hair cascading about her. She was snug, the blankets were wrapped around her just how she liked it, Channler just so happened to be a blanket hog. Drowsy eyes tried to make sense of their surroundings but nothing clicked in the muggy brain of the girl. She remembered slightly of course what had occurred last night, the meeting of the fiery red haired girl with the black eyes who had almost killed her with fright. After that things got foggy, had the stranger… Keith, was what she wanted to call the other, taken her to the girl’s home?
“Hullo?” Channler called out, sitting up more slowly and resting on her elbows, she looked around, her eyes finally focusing on the world before them. It was defiantly a house, she was sure it of it. Much better than the run down shack she called a house. Channler grimaced as she sat up further, leaning against the head board of the bed now and stretching her back, she arched up with a content moan, as her back let out a healthy pop. Now, then were was she?

When Kieth had been sure Channler was okay, she had went into the tiny living room with the run-down sofa to sleep. But, she didn't rest long. After about three hours she woke up and headed out of the house, hoping that the youth would sleep while she was gone. Thankfully such had been the case, for when she arrived back at seven in the morning Channler was still sleeping, the blankets wrapped around her snugly. Kieth had been out hunting, for the island had no grocery store or restaurant or any place to find a meal. They had to catch their own food or find it through the plants that grew here. As a Barn Owl shifter her ears were very sharp, giving her an advantage when hunting. She could detect even the slightest sound, from the heart-beat of a mouse to the soft stirring of the wind when she flew. Kieth had managed to gather a few things, including some fruit in the case Channler wouldn't want the rabbit she had caught. While the girl was sleeping Kieth set to work cooking, hoping by the time she woke up their breakfast would be ready.
“Hullo?” It was Channler. Kieth left the food she was preparing to serve, heading back down the hall into her bedroom where the young human was resting. "Got a hangover?" she asked with a teasing grin, walking over to sit on the edge of the bed.

She heard footsteps, but not regular kind, more like a banging noise that a hammer makes against tin. So loud and just painful to the ears, what a horrid sound! Wide blue eyes watched as the red haired girl entered the room, parting her mouth to make a smart allic remark, then smirk. Little wanker.. The dark headed youth though, twisting her mouth in a scowl. “Oh hush up.” She groaned, flashing a playful smile before falling back onto the pillow, with a groan. What an igit! She scowled herself, bringing her hand up to her head and resting the back of it across her eyes, palm up. Using her other hand, Channler drew the covers up closer, if that was possible, until they were over her head. With a smile she thought about going to back to sleep not caring if that Keith girl was watching her or not. “Kei… what time is it?” She asked, her voice muffled by the blanket overhead, her dark locks spilling out of the cover.
Ooc;; sorry its short.. lol keith should climb up on the bed and pull the covers off of her.. MORNING SUNSHINE! What a nice awakening for a hangover

“Oh hush up.” Kieth's smile grew wider and she laughed in amusement. After smiling playfully Channler had fallen back into the pillows, groaning. Obviously her headache was pretty bad. Soon the covers were up over her face to block out the light and a lot of sound. The fiery-haired shifter heard Channler speak, but it was muffled by the sound of the thick blanket. “Kei… what time is it?” She climbed onto the bed further, gripping the edge of the covers with both hands before pulling them off of her quickly. "About twelve o'clock, maybe a bit later now." She grinned and sat down at the end of the bed, holding the covers firmly so Channler couldn't claim them again. "It's about time you got yourself out of bed, or would you prefer I drag you out?" Even though they had met just yesterday, and Channler had been nearly drunk, Kieth liked the dark-haired youth. She was a very interesting human.
OOC: Yours was longer than this. x3

The answer was barely audible but Channler did manage to catch a snippet of it, about noon was it? Oh all the better, she'd sleep in past three if she could have it her way, but sadly it seemed that Kieth wouldn't have it and she felt the bed shift under her as the red haired woman began to move around. At first she had been happy and thought that the older girl was going to leave her in peace, but of course not. Soon the blanket was pulled rudely away from Channler and she sat up with a groan, as the blanket was pulled off of her and Kieth held it like a prize, grinning at Channler. In response the dark haired girl stuck out her tongue and then drawing herself up she pounced at the other girl, grappling for the blanket. "Don't be a butthead." She murmured, stradling Kieth as she sat on the girl's stomach tugging at the blanket with a smirk. True she and the other didn't really know each other that well, well actually they didn't know each other at all except names but here Channler was, sitting on this poor girl. Luckily she didn't weigh that much so it wasn't like she was going to suffocate Keith. Leaning down, until her face was only half an inch away from her victim, Channler made her teasing threat, "If you don't give it back, I'm afraid I'll have to tickle you to death." The youth's hair fell down, it stood up wildly and was frizzy from her bed head, but still Channler had a certain beauty to her. A faint blush was creeping up on her cheeks as a playful smile toyed on the edges of her red lips.

A split second after Channler stuck out her tongue Kieth was being attacked and the two were wrestling over the blanket. Suddenly Kieth was on her back with Channler sitting on her stomach. "Don't be a butthead." She liked the way she smirked at her. It was cute. Kieth sat up just a bit, using her elbows to support her weight. With Channler's combined it still wasn't that much to be honest. Their faces were barely an inch apart now when Channler spoke her threat. But the fiery-haired girl was distracted by something else. The way Channler's hair was all wild and frizzy, and how she was starting to blush with that playful grin... "You look hot even with a hangover." Kieth leaned up just a bit more to fill the tiny gap between their faces and after just a moment's pause of hesitation, their lips met. She couldn't explain exactly what made her do it, especially when she didn't even know this human other than her name, but she felt no regret or guilt. As far as Kieth was concerned right now, everything was just fine.

lol using char's account
She could feel Kieth’s warm breath on her face, could feel the heat flare up in cheeks dusting them in a fine rosy blush. Then everything changed in a split second of hormones, god damn those nasty little things. It all happened so fast, she should have seen it coming as the other lady pulled herself up slightly, her mouth so close to Channler’s. Then wild teal eyes watched as Kieth arched her neck slightly, sealing the deal with a kiss. Warmth flooded over the human, of course surprise was written plainly over her features as Kieth’s lips met hers, the concept of kissing a girl was very foreign to Channler. Yes she found herself attracted to the same gender, but actually kissing one!?
Channler needed to pull away, needed to set boundaries with the pretty fire head. But she didn’t want to. This would be the youth’s first kiss, and Channler found herself quite enjoying it. She parted her mouth slightly, wanting to deepen the kiss but instead pulled away, sitting up right now but still on top of Kieth. She bit her lip and looked away from the other girl, blush mad on her face, her hands on the other’s stomach. “I-I’m sorry… It’s just that I never kissed anyone before…” She sighed, rolling off of Kieth so that she was on the floor next to the girl, belly up and looking skyward, hoping Kieth wouldn’t make fun of her.
