-- After Sky
After Sky is a literate steampunk roleplay, rated PG-13/R. It includes a plethora of mad scientists, bloodthirsty assassins, aliens, talking animals, mutants, pirates, and more. They're all equipped with fancy steampunk gadgets and beautiful ships, venturing out into space in search of adventure. They're sure to get into all sorts of trouble, whether they like it or not.
-- The World
In this solar system there are two suns, four inhabitable planets, and a handful of ruined planets and other space junk floating around. The four planets that support life are Patria, Vetusolum, Sukilti, and Ietyrai. The most widely spread species are something relatively close to humans, but there are other forms of intelligent life, and some variations of homo sapiens.
The technology is of a steampunk genre, with all sorts of boats modified to fly in space being the main form of transportation. All the planets have several main ports for docking, and then some have more private areas where the shadier types dock their ships. There are pirates and gangs and government assassins and mad scientists and all sorts of people in this world, and the trick is to survive them all and come out on top.
-- Inhabitants
The most common species in the solar system is something similar to humans. Then there are several species of aliens, some more alternative than others. Beasts are also occasionally spotted in the wilderness on the planets, and it is rumored that the higher forms of animals can speak and have developed their own societies. There are also hybrids between species. Alien hybrids are more common, and while beast hybrids do exist, they are very rare to find.
-- Storyline
The solar system is governed by an elite group called the Council. The Council is basically a handful of dictators with a big army to back them up, and so people listen to them. They control the civilians, set forth laws, govern cities, direct the law enforcement, and run experiments with technology and ways of living. Some of these experiments are more dangerous than others, and so they are kept secret. But someone found out about these experiments, and managed to steal some of the prototypes of what the Council has been developing. The prototypes made their way into the hands of some radically-minded scientists, and they are starting to run their own tests. A sort of rebellion is forming, and the Council is doing everything it can to stop it before it gets out of hand, but so far they aren't having any luck.
