Dimitar has a bit of the loner type personality due to being alienated by his peers while in school. Because of this alienation, he has an issue with trusting people. While he does seem to be introverted when first encountered, once Dimitar has an understanding of a person's personality, he will become more open with them. However, he won't become fully open up to anyone, no matter how much he trusts them or vice versa. One good product of being alienated was that it helped him focus more. With all the free time he had, it gave him time to focus on his school work or assignments and helped push him to achieve more.
Dimitar wouldn't classify himself as stubborn, but he would classify himself as patient. There was a period in his life where he had little patience for people, specifically his school mates, but as time passed, Dimitar became more calm and patient. If he wasn't patient, he would of been a terrible private investigator, as it was a job that required patience. With his patience came, as mentioned earlier, came a feeling of being more laid back. He had to have a cool head on his shoulders, to keep him from acting without thinking and it kept him alive.

Dimitar arrived on the island after washing ashore, semi conscious. He had taken in an afternoon of skydiving near the coast in the Pacific Northwest when he was blown terribly far from his landing point. Ocean winds carried him as far as they could before he finally fell into the ocean. With no land in sight, Dimitar swam towards the direction in which he thought land would be. After swimming for a few hours, the ocean current became too strong for him, the last thing he saw before a wave overtook him was absolutely nothing, nothing except the vast ocean in which he swam.
