It was supposed to be a day full of exhilaration and excitement, but as the time passed, it didn't seem that way. He couldn't remember the name of the town from which the plane left, but it couldn't of been far from where he was. Dimitar had no idea why he let his friends talk him into sky diving, but once he got back to the mainland, they'd get a stern talking to..among other things. There was an usual amount of wind which blew him out towards the ocean and away from the mainland. He didn't know what to do, he couldn't just unhook the parachute, but he couldn't just let the wind use him as his plaything. Eventually, the wind started to die down and so began his descent into the ocean below.
The water was cold as he felt it overcome his body. He floated and moved with the waves of the ocean. Dimitar began swimming in the direction where he thought land would be. He had lost all bearings on direction when he got blown out to sea. He had to stop swimming every so often to look around. It was getting colder the more he swam. The waves carried him further and further in the direction he swam, making it a bit easier on him. However, the longer he swam, the more tired he got and the darker it began to get. Finally, he had to stop swimming. He couldn't go any further, leaving him to float in the ocean. He was getting hungry and tired, not to mention considerably colder. Dimitar couldn't see anything around him anymore, no lights, nothing. It was just him and the waves. Pushing himself to swim further, he was on the verge of passing out. The last thing he remembered before his eyes closed was a massive wave overtaking him.
It was daytime when he was woken up by the surf coming in and out repeatedly. A groan came from him as he pushed himself up slowly. Coughing, Dimitar spit up some water. The taste of saltwater was still in his mouth as he got on his hands and knees in the sand. Slowly, he crawled away from the surf and further up the beach, dragging the parachute behind him. When he got away from the water, he unhooked the parachute and let it fall to the ground. "Where the hell am I?" he said as he stood up, resting his hands on his sides as he looked around. Dimitar didn't recognize where he was at all, but it didn't look like any place he had been before. He coughed a bit more, covering his mouth with a fist as he did. "I need to get into some dry clothes...maybe get something to eat." he said as he looked down at his rumbling stomach. Leaving the parachute on the beach, Dimatar walked further up the beach, not knowing what he'd find.
