It was sheer curiosity that brought the dark hair youth towards the caves that held a certain mysterious air about them. Her wild blue eyes ran over the dark shadows that marked the entrances into the caverns, traced the outline of the crumbling rock against the dark skies that now plagued Ivory Island. She stumbled, making the climb to the bigger rock cave. Her worn black converse were now a sickly faded gray color, the shoe laces were missing and the soles were coming apart, so the climb wasn’t that fun. Anyway, it wasn’t like Channler could just go to Journey’s and pick up a new pair, instead she’d have to wear the old scanty things if it meant not getting rocks stuck in her heels. She was closer now, but a stray rock in her path caused the girl to trip. By default Channler happened to be a klutz so instead like a normal person, shooting her hands out to catch herself was not a natural instinct. Channler hit the rocks with an unhealthy groan, and then a few moments later after her fall she finally sat up to check the damage.
Channler looked up at the storm clouds with an irritated sigh. Why must she always do something stupid and end up hurting herself in the process? Blowing air out of her nose, she turned her attention back on her knee and shin which was skinned and had nasty little rocks sticky to the exposed flesh underneath as trickles of blood ran down. It wasn’t exactly that bad, but it still stung. Digging in her pockets she searched from the excess amount of band aids she had stumbled upon on the island. Hello Kitty, nice. She pulled out three and carefully applied them, even if it didn’t cover all of the wound it’d work. No way, would she let that ruin her trip to the caverns. Wiping the now caking blood off of her leg she looked around, lucky for the dark haired beauty she was almost right by her destination. With a grimace, Channler picked herself up and headed into the depths of the cave. “Hullo!?” She greeted whatever life force dwelled in the darkness, listening as the sound of her voice echoed in a never ending cession of hullo’s.

Cerise du Boutin hated storms. Especially ones with lighting and thunder. She would avoid the Black Wolf Caves under normal circumstances--Nero was not her friend--however with those storm clouds building...Cerise had no other choice. There was no safer place on the island from a storm than the higher-up caves. No rain, no flooding, no lightning and no thunder.
The wind was starting to pick up and she was glad for when she finally made it through the opening of the cave she'd found most suitable. She'd been smart enough to remember bringing dry wood, two of which she would use to start the fire. She was lucky to have been wearing a sweater with a hoodie when she woke up on the island, it'd certainly helped when she slept alone and it was colder than usual.
Now she folded the well-worn hoodie and sat on it, the material thick enough to be more comfortable than the rocky ground. Cerise then got to work on her fire.
If Nero came by, she'd think of something to do. But until he did so, she wouldn't let herself worry about it. She was dry and soon she would be warm as well.
The succubus arranged the pile of wood, then picked up the two pieces she'd selected for starting the fire and got to work. Her heart fluttered a little when she saw a spark, but she dropped one of the pieces when she heard someone calling a 'Hullo?!' from the entrance of the cave. The voice had sounded female, and Cerise found herself tilting her head. That tone hadn't sounded all too dangerous...and Cerise didn't really fear anything on this island except Nero...Well and Lilith a little.
"Come on in!" Her tone was warm and welcoming, as if she were inviting someone into her plush home. As if she were sitting at a carved wooden table, waiting with tea and scones.

The girl hadn’t really expected a humanoid voice to answer back to her call, more like the scuttling of animals on the rock floor as they hid in the shadows of the caves away from the human. So when Cerise called back with a warm ‘Come on in!’ It made Channler jump with fright, for the girl wasn’t really all that brave. The voice sounded sweet and not very harmless or aggressive like a monster trying to lure her in only to eat her for dinner. Channler unfortunately was mature physically and somewhat mentally but the young lady still believed in monsters, and well the supernatural in general. But following her gut, she took a tentative step further into the cave, compelled by her natural curiosity to see who dwelled in the cold cavern. After walking silently for a moment or two Channler bumped into Cerise, of course there was some light in the cave from what sun light wasn’t blocked by the raging storm clouds, but Channler didn’t have the best of vision and so she bumped into the other.
Ocean eyes blinked apologetically, but internally Channler was thanking the Fates she hadn’t fallen on the girl like she had done so to Warren. That so far was a plus and the fact she had met someone new. That decreased her social deprivation slightly, since the dark haired beauty only had the pleasure of knowing three other humans –well humans as far as she was concerned- besides herself, but now she knew four people! How exciting! For whatever reason it was, Channler felt safe and content by Cerise and plopped down next to her, drawing her knees up to her chin with a brilliant smile playing on the edges of her raspberry red lips. Blue eyes glittered happily as they ran over Cerise’s facial structure. She’s really pretty… Uh oh, I think I have a thing for red heads… Channler thought, a faint blush automatically springing up across her cheeks. First Warren then Keith, and now this girl?
Channler stuck out her hand in friendly greeting, “Hullo. I’m Channler, Channler Evermore.” She introduced herself happily, glad to be in Cerise’s company. However she did wish she could be up on the lip of the cave so she could watch the storm take shape, oh how Channler loved a good sea storm. But instead she was down here, with Cerise who hopefully would be nice to her.

It hadn't even occured to Cerise that she could use her high empathy to see what the newcomer's emotions were. If the newcomer had felt malice, she could have known in advance what their intentions were. If they felt something postive, or fear even, she'd also have known in advance.
The Succubus shook her head at herself. She could be so stupid sometimes. Her empathy should come to her like breathing. Ah well. What she was feeling from the girl now was in no way negative, and she noticed just what a pretty little things she was as he got closer and then seated herself beside Cerise.
The redhead found herself smiling. This girl had a cute and lovely face, a good emotional vibe, and she even smelled nice. That was rather impressive considering that they were all stranded here without bathtubs or showers. Cerise had been lucky to get her hands on a bar of soap she'd found in one of the ruins. The soap itself didn't have the most appealing colour, but it smelled good. Cerise had just been glad to feel clean, the nice smell had been a bonus.
"Channler...I like that."
Cerise' smile managed to be cute and charming as she took the girl's hand and shook it. "Not a very common name. At least form where I'm from. I am Cerise du Boutin." The french accent showed particularly when she said her own name.
Reluctantly she released Channler's hand and got back to trying to make a fire. She got a spark on the third try and hurried to get the small pile of wood burning. The sooner they had a fire the better. With the storm on its way, it was bound to get colder than usual.
"What brings you to this lovely cave? The storm?"

The ground was cold and hard underneath Channler and she’d rather be back at home on her run down couch even if the springs sometimes stabbed her through the thin cushion, but still it was better than the chilly rocky ground that her bum now had the displeasure of occupying. A clash of thunder sounded outside and instinctively the dark haired youth jumped, moving closer to Cerise and overcoming the small space in between them, her side against the red head’s. Channler’s blue gaze watched as the succubus tried to make a fire, rubbing the wood sticks together to try to get them to ignite into flames. She couldn’t help but study Cerise’s face, finding beauty lurking in its contour. Then she was brought back to earth by the other lady’s voice commenting on her name. “Channler… I like that.” This made a smile light up the youth’s face, finding pride in her name. She knew it was odd, usually bestowed on boys but Channler’s whole name was really a guy’s name… Channler Parker. She hadn’t ever known if it was just because her parents had wanted her to be a boy or if they just misheard the nurse and thought she said ‘Congratulations, it’s a boy!’ But it didn’t matter, Cerise liked it.
Cerise took her hand in greeting, and in result of this the blush maddened, making her cheeks a bright rose, Channler bit her lip as her glittering gaze turned to the floor. “That’s a pretty name… Cerise.” She smiled, also likening the lilt French accent that went along with it. Channler’s own British accent still stained her words. Then the hand was taken back, and Channler watched as Cerise turned back to her fire, after a few moments she got it going. Channler was glad when the flames started to dance, providing light and more warmth in the cavern. It still was a little spooky in the cave, as she looked at the shadows that the flames kept at bay, her eyes began to play tricks of her and Channler quickly blinked, hunkering closer to Cerise, hoping she wouldn’t mind the contact.
“What brings you to this lovely cave? The storm?’ Came the question, and Channler took it up with a light hearted smile. “Not really, I felt like exploring, it gets boring after awhile at home and I remembered seeing these caves before so I thought ‘hey why don’t I check them out?’ Kinda glad I did.” The smile still sat there, toying at the edges of Channler’s lips.

This girl was sweet, and definitely nice to look at. Cerise found that to be a rare combination. She was very social, always interacting with people --intimately and not intimately-- and yes, a person like Channler was a rare find. That is, if Channler was being genuine. The girl could be a very good acterss after all. But for now Cerise would trust her empathy.
The Succubus looked the girl over, noted the blush, and nearly forgot about the storm. Nearly. Channler's hands was as warm as her own, which was good she supposed. The touch of the human's skin sent a slight tingle through her. It had nothing to do with that fact that Channler was human. Oh no. It had to do with Channler being Channler, of that she was sure.
There had been no magic involved, but pure chemistry. And Cerise loved chemistry. And there was so much of it during sex, especially for Succubi and Incubi. There was the chemistry of attraction --though it was debatable whether that was pure emotion or real chemistry-- then there was the use and cause of their venom.
Cerise loved her venom.
She'd never used it to seduce someone who didn't want her. Though it would have been quite easy to do so. No, Cerise found it much more useful when using it on someone willing. Sometimes she felt as if she were gaining energy, gaining a high from bringing other people pleasure. And her venom certainly helped her do that.
The Succubus snapped out of her thoughts and focued her eyes on Channler. 'Not really, I felt like exploring, it gets boring after awhile at home and I remembered seeing these caves before so I thought ‘hey why don’t I check them out?’ Kinda glad I did.'
Her eyes widened a little, "Ohh you should avoid these caves at all costs. It's very dangerous here. I've only slipped into this one because of the storm..."
She trailed off, realizing she'd accidentally admitted one of her weaknesses. Would Channler laugh? Would Cerise care if she did? A slight blush rose to the Succubus' cheeks and she poked at the fire.

She was getting lost in those pretty blue hued orbs of Cerise’s. It was like a trance from the first moment her own ocean eyes had found Cerise’s pretty blue ones staring back, and now the haired beauty was getting pulled into them, unable to escape their grasp. Well it wasn’t like Channler wanted to escape at all really, she liked staring into them even if it made the blush heat her face. She couldn’t help it, Cerise just made Channler’s heart flutter something fierce. She remembered her once favorite word from the Disney movie, Bambi: Flitterpated. That was what Channler was, absolutely head over heels flitterpated with Cerise. Of course her parents didn’t approve with the youth’s attraction to other girls but to bloody hell with them, she was enjoying herself.
Channler noted how the pretty red head didn’t mind her getting close, didn’t care that she was snug against her side in the least bit. Does she like me too? That single thought caused panic to well up in Channler’s chest and her blood turn cold. What if she wasn’t like that? Channler bit her lip again, a terrible habit the poor girl had that she had inherited from her mum. Her eyes left Cerise’s again and now busied themselves with looking at the tops of her worn out converse. Absent mindedly Channler scooted a little bit away from Cerise, caught up in the fear that pretty girl was out of her league and didn’t like her back in the least bit, but just as a friend. A pout was etched across the girl’s face as she still stared at the ground, the fire adding a soft glow to her features. The taste of cherries began to flavor her mouth as Channler’s lip balm which she still had when she first arrived at the island began to dissolve.
Channler didn’t see Cerise’s eyes widen in shock at her reason for coming to cave, but she did hear the warning clearly. “Ohh and you should avoid these caves at all costs. It’s very dangerous here. I’ve only slipped into this one because of the storm…” The storm? Was the pretty girl scared of it? Channler didn’t hold it against Cerise though; storms could be a bit on the scary side. She herself was a little intimidated by this one but still loved to watch it unfold. Her real fear was the dark and being alone, but at the moment there was light and Cerise to hang onto if fear crawled down her spine. But it did perk Channler’s curiosity about the caves being dangerous. Her fear of Cerise not liking her was momentarily forgotten as she looked up at the other girl, the blush was completly lost on Channler for she wasn't one to pick things up easily, “I’m sure the storm will pass soon then we can back to the village…” Channler comforted wishing she hadn’t scooted away and was still snug against Cerise’s side. But she'd fix that easily and try to get over the panic of Cerise not returning her feelings. Channler put her arm around around Cerise's waist with a soft smile lighting her face Then the curiosity was overbearing and the question bubbled out, “Why are the caves dangerous?”

Cerise couldn't believe that she'd let her weakness slip out like that. She didn't let most of those who were close to her know about this, yet she'd blurted it out to this stranger. The girl was sweet and all, but Cerise didn't really know much about her. The accent could make her British, or it could make her something else. Who knew? Cerise was also never good at tellign ages. Therefore Channler was most certainly a stranger.
Perhaps the positive emotion being picked up by her empathy had made her comfortable for the little secret to slip.
She should forget about it. What was done was done. Cerise would make the best of it. She was never one to dwell on negative things. 'I’m sure the storm will pass soon then we can back to the village…' A smile spread over her lips at the girl's words and she raised her head to look at Channler's blue eyes.
They were a very nice blue. Closer to teal really, while Cerise's eyes were more of a midnight blue. She really liked the colour of Channler's eyes.
She seemed to realize for the first time just how close the other girl had gotten to her and Cerise felt a little warmer all at once. And it had nothing to do with the little fire she'd built. It was nice to have someone to spend her time with while she waited for the storm to pass. Cerise didn't do well with being on her own for too long.
The succubus felt the girls's arm slip around her waist and the contact gave her exactly what she'd needed for some hours now. Cerise would be content with that arm around her waits for a little while longer...
'Why are the caves dangerous?'
It was hard to bring her mind from the subject of Channler to the subject of the caves, but she managed. The slightly enticed expression that had formed on her face faded and she looked as serious as when she'd issued her warning, "These caves are...claimed by the island witch's mate, Nero." Only once the words were out she realized that maybe Channler didn't know about all of the supernaturals on the island.
Well, it was best for her to be aware.
"He....is a wolf shifter. Turns into this huge black wolf. Quite vicious. And cruel. I wouldn't have come here if it wasn't for the storm..." Channler had heard and understood the firs time, so Cerise didn't have a problem with mentioning it again.

The crackling of lightning resounded in the outside world, making the poor youth jump. Instinctively she pressed herself harder against Cerise, and tightened her grip slightly around the red head’s waist, wishing she had a blanket to wrap around herself instead of her flimsy tank top. Blushing as she noted how close she was to Cerise, but not backing away this time, she titled her face up a little to look back at the other girl who was now looking like she was getting lost in Channler’s eyes. Was that even possible? Her dad used to call her Ocean Eyes, said if one stared too long in her churning teal eyes they’d get lost in their depths, but parents had to say that stuff, right?
Channler turned her attention back to the lulling sound of Cerise’s voice, ‘These caves are… claimed by the island witch’s mate, Nero.’ What back up a bit… A witch, no freaking way! Channler had always believed though there was something else in the world besides humans and ghosts, even as a little girl she swore she saw faeries whether or not that is true is still a mystery. But a witch? Thunder rolled in the heavens, the storm… it wasn’t like most, there was a certain power to it, and could that be the witch’s doing? Channler was very confused now but she tried to pay attention to what Cerise was saying, because she felt there was a ring of truth to the other’s words. ‘He....is a wolf shifter. Turns into this huge black wolf. Quite vicious. And cruel. I wouldn't have come here if it wasn't for the storm...’ A wolf!?
Channler let out a soft whimper at the mention of a wolf, no wonder Cerise seemed a little scared in the caves. Wolves were quiet fearsome beasts just like their domestic counterparts, dogs. Besides the dark and loneliness, dogs were right there at the top things Channler feared. When she had been a little girl Channler had had the misfortune of running into a rogue wolf on her farm it had tried to attack her, the poor beast since it was diseased by something horrid, but luckily her father had fended the brute off. But now, Channler had a fear of the furred beasts and she let out another whimper hoping this Nero brute wasn’t hanging about in the pressing shadows. “T-that is scary… We’ll be fine right, Cerise? The uh shifter guy… he isn’t here is he?” Wide blue eyes stared up innocently into Cerise and Channler found herself slightly calming as she looked into Cerise’s midnight blue hued orbs. So there was a witch and a shifter? Is that what happened to the people that went missing? Next Cerise was going to tell her Vampires and Werewolves existed here in the island.
A scary thought stuck itself in Channler’s head. What if humans were put on this island to feed these monsters? Could her and Cerise be next? No, of course not. Channler let her head rest on Cerise’s shoulder as she stared into the flames, waiting for an answer, waiting for some comfort.

Her brows rose at how easily Channler seemed to believe her. Either Cerise was great at convincing, or Channler was very guilable. She was leaning toward the second option. This girl wouldn't last on this island for very long, not unless she had someone with her who was more cautious.
Was Cerise willing to be that person?
That question scared her a little, so she pushed it to the back of her mind for later consideration. The whimpers worried her, so she slipped an arm over Channler's slender shoulders. She hadn't meant to scare the girl, but if that's what it took for her to stop from exploring these caves, that was fine.
"We will be alright. I think I will sense him before he makes it too close."
Her eyes widened again. Dammit. She was really putting her foot in her mouth today! The Succubus reached up and ran a hand over her pretty features. It had to be the storm, it was scaring her and therefore throwing off her usual cool. Therefore she was blurting things out like an idiot.
Hopefully Channler didn't ask what she'd meant by that, because Cerise was not a good liar. She was aware of this and would therefore just tell the girl the truth.
She'd gotten lucky, having Channler join her in the cave like this. She hated being alone, especially during a storm, and now she would go and scare the girl away...

She felt slightly queasy now just thinking of a big black beast running wild through the dark caves and Channler bit her lip to hold in the fear. Cerise was here and the youth felt safe tucked against the other’s side. Then Cerise wrapped her arm around Channler’s thin shoulders, and instantly warmth flooded over the human making a smile began to play on the edges of her lips as the blush that had fled like a deer in headlights at the mention of wolves was now seeping up onto Channler’s cheeks, making a rosy red that was easily spotted because the flickering of the fire lit up Channler’s cheeks. She was unaware of the physical show of her affection for Cerise, but she did feel the heat flare up in her face and hoped Cerise wouldn’t have the off chance of noticing, or then maybe the pretty red head would pull away her arm which Channler was quite enjoying at the time being. Blue eyes danced as she grew out of her fear even if at the back of her mind it was screaming that she was a moron, Channler still sat on the rocky ground, cradling Cerise’s waist with one arm and using the other to play with a fray on the edge of her short shorts, thinking herself a bloody idiot for going about in this get up in a storm. But really it wasn’t Channler’s fault she simply didn’t have much clothing and the only reason she wasn’t a dirty scamp like most of the island locals was because she bathed herself in the salt water ocean, scrubbing herself with those little spongy things on the floor of the sea.
"We will be alright. I think I will sense him before he makes it too close."
Channler didn’t pay much mind to the fact that Cerise could sense the brute before he got close but it did brighten her smile that Cerise thought they’d be okay. The wild eyes stared into the fire, unable what to say, afraid that emotions would stir and slip. “Love, how long are we gonna be in here?” The dark haired beauty asked, at first she thought the storm would blow over but with the howling wind and never ending game of tag between thunder and lightning it seemed the two girls would be in here for awhile longer. If Channler had ventured up the rocks during late evening, what time was it now? It was getting dark it seemed but the girl was unsure for the black clouds could just be adding to it.

Cerise did note a slight change in Channler's colouring, but thought that it could just be from the fire. Either the lighting was playing ticks on her, or Channler was getting warmer.
Hmmm...
Even with those two being the most likely reasons Channler would either be blushing, or appear to be blushing, Cerise couldn't help but feel tempted. She even failed to notice that Channler never asked anything about Cerise' crytic comment about 'sensing' Nero. The Succubus really hoped that cruel wolf had enough emotion in him that she truly would sense him. But she wasn't about to share that information with Channler. The poor girl was terrified enough as it was. Cerise could feel it pulsing off her...the poor thing.
Strangely enough, this tempted her further. There was nothing better to cure fear than reassurance or distraction, and Cerise was a master at distraction. That is, if the other person was interested...
'Love, how long are we gonna be in here?'
The girl referring to her as "love" and the reminder that they would be in here for a while was the last straw. "The storm could last hours...or days..." If that was the case, Cerise would run out and gather some fruit. She would face the storm in order to make sure she and the human girl survived. It worried her to think about leaving Channler in this cave while she went, but she would find a solution for that later.
Right now...she was far too distracted to think. The succubus took her free hand and placed a finger on either side of Channler's chin, holding it lightly. Then she turned the girl's head so they were face to face. The red-head searched the other girl's face only for a moment before leaning forward and placing her lips on Channler's.

Channler felt Cerise’s gaze on her features once more and she wondered what the other was thinking. Channler’s own blue gaze changed from the floor to Cerise’s face, locking with those beautiful dark blue hued eyes. She couldn’t quite describe what emotion was currently lurking about in Cerise’s eyes but Channler knew what was in hers: longing. Pulling her gawking gaze away from Cerise’s her eyes trailed down the other’s face focusing on pretty red lips. Channler squirmed slightly, not right, not right, not right! She thought but couldn’t help it anymore then Cerise could.
"The storm could last hours...or days..."
This didn’t scare the youth though; instead it had the opposite effect on Channler. That would mean she’d get to stay with Cerise longer, which made happiness flood the girl. She felt Cerise’s weight shift as the other’s hand came into her line vision. Delicate fingers caressed her face, coming to rest on her chin and the blush by now was probably a beet red. Her face was being tilted up towards Cerise, but Channler did nothing to stop it from happening. Instead she gladly followed the direction of the hand.
Her eyes melted with Cerise’s, hormones raging through her system. She waited as the red head took a moment to study her face and seeing what she had wanted come in for the kill, or should I say kiss. Warm lips melted onto hers but Channler was a complete lost. She had no idea how to respond, no idea what to do at all for that matter. So she did the only thing she could; the girl broke away quickly, turning away from Cerise. You bloody idiot! Can’t you do anything right!? Channler screamed at herself, eyes instantly were downcasted to the floor once more, afraid of Cerise's reaction. Would she laugh if Channler told her the truth? For god's sake she was nineteen! She should know how to kiss or at least how to respond! Pulling away when she clearly wanted it was not a good first impression.
Channler drew her knees up closer and took her arm away from its position around Cerise's waist, instead she put both arms around her legs. Resting her forhead on her knees Channler bit her lip, so confused as what to say or do. Finally after much debate, she decided to just tell the pretty red head. "I-I'm sorry, Cerise... It's just that.. Well I've never um.. kissed anyone before..." And maybe you could teach me? The last part though Channler clamped her mouth shut on, no way would she be that frank!

[occ: after another post from me and another from you I think we could let it fade to black *nodnod*]
The girl pulled away and Cerise found herself blinking in confusion. Sure she'd been rejected a few times, but it had been very rare, and she didn't know how to deal with it. Therefore the Succubus sucked on her own lower lip as she listened to Channler's explanation.
This has been the human girl's first kiss!? Well that hadn't even occured to her. Cerise sometimes believed that everyone was as open sexually as she was herself. This was very dumb of her.
The Succubus' chest felt a little tight with guilt and she looked down at the cave floor for a moment before looking back up at Channler,
"I'm sorry for stealing your first kiss..."
She sucked on her lower lip again, probably looking as guilty as she felt. The fire reflected off her dark blue eyes, giving them a rather strange appearance, and her naturally bright hair was all the more vibrant in the warm light coming off the fire.

Come on Channler! You’re so counter-productive! The dark haired girl groaned inwardly, no sound on the outside as she berated herself. The youth wasn’t one for courage or guts when it came down to it. She’d rather follow than lead, heck she even hated just standing in front of a crowd! No, she was going to change that. Channler grinded her teeth before she set her mind. It was easy after Cerise’s comment and expression.
“I’m sorry for stealing your first kiss…”
Channler looked up and saw the guilt stricken face of Cerise’s in the flickering light of the fire. She wanted to badly to comfort the other, to hold her and tell her it was fine, that she didn’t mind. That she had actually enjoyed Cerise being her first kiss. Back home it wouldn’t have been exactly a good thing to brag about but oh god that girl was amazing! Channler sucked in a breath of air, and rocked onto her knees. Channler scooted back towards Cerise, sitting on her legs she took a hand and brushed the red hair of the other to the side. No going back… She reminded herself. Blue eyes searched Cerise’s face for a moment, and then pressed her lips to Cerise’s, hoping she was doing something right.
She broke away after a moment, letting her fingers trail the line of the succubus’s face the bringing her face back, her lips brushing Cerise’s again. “You can steal it anytime, love.” She purred in a seductive manner. Oh god where had that come from!? But Channler didn’t redraw from her position, instead she moved closer, arms wrapping around Cerise’s neck, she peered sheepishly up at the older girl. Channler was once more pressed up again the other girl but this time she was facing the other direction that way she didn’t have to crane her neck to see the other or in this case kiss.
