Her fingers were sore and tired, her manicured nails ruined yet she had barely looked up from her cellphone. It had been at least an hour or more since she had clawed herself up the beach from the dingy - all that had remained from the Boeing 747 she was abroad from Germany to Australia.
Odette Drosselmeyer, an international sensation and professional ballerina had risen to fame ever since she graced the stage in her youth. She was pushed to excel by her parents and rose above her siblings - a brother and sister (whom she hadn't seen in a number of years) - in talent. Recognized all over the world for her elegance and grace of movement, she was constantly booked to perform and attend recitals. It was no different for her as she received a call and was whisked away moments later to board a flight from her native Germany to Australia. Nothing was out of the ordinary until the plane reached the continent, overshooting the island and hitting turbulence. It shook violently and went down. Very little she could remember until she awoke afloat in an orange dingy with an island horizon emerging from the mist.
She quickly fumbled in her pockets as soon as she made it to the land, hammering the buttons furiously trying to call someone, anyone. But nothing! No signal! She longed for the bars at the top of her mobile to appear but nothing. Her eyes barely lifted from the screen while her feet pulled her away from the beach further inland. By the time Odette gazed up, the blue sky was no more instead clouded over by a thick canopy of trees. Screaming in frustration, she flung the phone down, it smashing into numerous pieces. Bloody useless thing anyway, she thought. Leaning her back against a tree, she slid down until she was sitting on the ground, alone and exhausted. She was going places. She was a superstar! And now she was shipwrecked alone on - what she thought - was a deserted island. Hands slipped round her knees, hugging them close to her body as she quietly sobbed.[/size]

The warm rays of the sun beat down on the island, leaving Hori to take refuge in the shadows of the trees in the forest. Letting out a small sigh, the vampire looked up at the small rays of sun shining through the green leaves, listening to the birds chirping in the distance. He was sitting at the base of a huge tree, his back against the trunk, his hands behind his head. This place was actually very relaxing. It was nice to get away from the daily life, just relax. Hori had only been here about two days now, wait.. was it three? Apparently he had already lost count. Not that keeping track of time was something he did. He couldn't remember when he stopped caring about it. Maybe around 150? Well it didn't matter, even though this was a nice vacation, he had to find his student and get back to work.
The two of them were on a mission, on their way from Australia to Japan, when their small fishing boat got caught in a horrible storm, and sank. Thankfully enough this island was here, or the vampire would surely be dead now. He managed to swim to this island and take refuge in a cave. His student, Chase, probably didn't get off that easy. Poor boy was only human, even though he was tough, Hori doubted that the young man came out of this situation unscathed. During the night time Hori would leave his cave to look for Chase, but had no luck so far. So today, he decided to leave the cave during the day, to see if maybe he was wondering around during the day.
During this daytime search is when Hori had to stop for a break. Being in the sun for too long drained his energy and made him feel like shit. Why was he out in the daytime again? Oh yah, to look for Chase. The more he thought about it, the more this plan seemed to not make any sense. Chase was his pupil, Hori had raised him since he was just a boy. That being said, he also hated to be out in the sun. His student was one of the only nocturnal humans that this vampire had encountered.
Standing up from his resting place, Hori adjusted his katana on his hip and dusted off his kimono, looking around through the trees. During his time here, he had seen a few other beings wondering around, but never approached them. He didn't know much about this island, but it gave him a bad feeling. Something about the air here was full of a horrible sensation. Putting the thoughts from his head, he began trudging through the forest, looking around trying to find Chase, or food. Some blood would hit the spot right now. Pushing his instinctual thoughts from his mind, he reminded himself that there was a more important task at hand then feeding.
Deciding that it may be best to just go back to his cave and continue his search when the sun went down. Changing his path, Hori made his way back to the rocky area where he had made camp. Sliding down a small hill, a glint of blond hair amidst the green foliage of the forest caught his eye. Tilting his head, he looked closer, seeing a small form bent beside a tree, hugging its knees. He could tell she was crying by the way her body shook slightly with her sobs. Even tough he was a vampire, he still had compassion, and he definitely felt it for this girl. Walking over quietly, he knelt beside her, speaking to make his presences known. "I know this place isn't the nicest, but I don't think its that bad." He said in a joking tone, this girl sounded like she needed some cheering up

ooc; I am so sorry it is shit ;o; Stupid internet crashed and lost all the post. I could only remember about half so this was all I could remuster T___T
With her face buried in her knees and immersed in the noise of her own tears, Odette barely noticed the approach of Hori until he was right beside her, by then it was too late. She leapt up frantically with a yelp as he spoke; unaware of the close proximity the male was to her. She scrambled to her feet, putting a metre or two between them at best. Her heart pounded and she panted heavily for breath. “Don’t do that! “ she screamed, glaring intently at the man. Every inch of her told her to shift and she could be gone in an instant. Take to the air and leave him behind.
But her feet remained glued to the ground. Tears streamed down her face as she stared at Hori. ”What is this place?” she coughed between sobs. ”You have to get me off this island..” she begged him. “Don’t you know who I am? I shouldn’t be here!” the shifter shrieked, followed by another wave of tears and cries. Odette was much too proud. She expected everyone to know of her and do everything for her. That was how it had always been. When her parents were alive, they pandered to her every need and since their death and her career, she had assistants to take care of all her daily needs. And now, she was stranded on an island with this strangely dressed man telling her that it wasn’t that bad?
