He may not remember a lot of specifics about who he was or why he was here, but he knew what fear was, and he knew that this was not his home. The boy had already climbed his way up a tree and used it to perch and watch for any travellers that came by.
Once he had, he took the time to inspect himself for any articles that might help him piece back together who he was or what had happened. The only thing he found on his person was the hospital band labelling him as 0.013 - Ciel Rosewood. And on the line below that Iberian Lynx-- whatever that was.
He wondered if it had anything to do with the ears and tail- something told him those hadn't been there... why couldn't he remember anything? This wasn't right, and he felt like he was going to start to panic if he didn't get answers. But with no laboratory or hospital in sight on this island, it seemed like he was going to have no luck.
He heard footsteps and hid back in the brush of the tree to hide himself. When he saw a man appear, he leaned closer to try to get a better look- he wanted to see if he was like him. But instead, he slipped and fell.
Like a cat, he twist mid air and landed perfectly on his two feet just to the side of his visitor. His eyes widened in realization of what had happened, and he darted back to the tree, intending to climb it again. He was scared.
...And clad only in his hospital gown.

-YOU USED TO GET IT IN YOUR FISHNETS, NOW YOU ONLY GET IN IN YOUR night DRESS! -
-JAEGER VITALYOVICH ZHILIN;;! - Have you ever heard that animals could smell fear - and did you believe it?
You'd be stupid not to, he thought to himself, as he twirled his head around in the wind, surely catching a whiff of someone, something in the air. And fear? It was abundant, staining the air with it's sugary smell. He loved it; it beckoned to him, seducing him to it's delicious source. He was determined to find it's source, as he strode his way through the trees, the forest painted in dark greens and browns. It shouldn't be hard finding someone, flesh amongst a sea of leaves.
Jaeger was a tough guy, but truly, Ivory scared the fuck out of him at night. He wasn't scared of the dark, he was scared of the maniacs he was in it with. It wasn't that they were bigger or tougher than him, but they were unpredictable, especially that fucking witch. With his golden hair and sky blue eyes, you'd never know he's the devil in disguise, he sung in his head, the lyrics coming to him instaneously. The song it played in his head was an unpleasant tune, perfect to match the monster it's dedicated to. So now, here he was, believing the dark woods were a better alternative to soft, deceptive beaches that greeted new visitors to this hell.
Ever since he'd gotten here, he'd had difficulty going to rest. His eyes felt heavy, as if they were trying to hold lift cinderblocks on their lonesome, and begged him for sweet sleep. he tried, but he couldn't be lulled into sleep, the island plaguing him with eternal insomnia. He felt so weak in the day, that at night he hunted. He looked for whatever wildlife the witch hadn't stained on his walls and grabbed it by it's neck, thrashing it round until it's blood decorated his muzzle. But tonight was different. He wasn't killing little bunny rabbits this time. I'm going for bigger prey tonight.
He sighed, having no luck on finding whatever kind of "prey" hid in this forest. There was only two things that coulve happened: one. his senses, however sharp they seemed, had finally failed him, or two. his prey was more well-hidden than he'd expected. A smirk crossed his face, his common sense assuring him that the latter would never be possible. Crouching down into a dark mass of ginger fur, dotted by ebony and pearl-toned fur, he shifted into his original body. He was marked with the curse of good looks, from his wavy chestnut brown hair, chiseled face, stubble and all, his eyes, grey as thunderheads, and his defined body. He wasn't afraid to admit it. He enjoyed his human form, despite all it's limitations.
A mischievous smile crossed his lips, as his eyes darted knowingly at the tree-tops, looking for who lurked above. "Come down, kitty kitty...", he teased, snickering, not aware of how right he was. Even with all his smarts he wasn't prepared for something he hadn't seen before, and he'd seen it all - vampires, incubi, succubi, other shifters, and now a fucking witch. And while he didn't expect what was about to come upon him, he didn't fear it either. The unexpected is prey, just like any other, and I am determined to catch my prey, he snarled, as he dropped to the ground, his arms holding him up, ready to shift at any time needed. -ABANDONED ALL THOSE NAUGHTY NIGHTS FOR NICENESS, LANDED IN A VERY COMMON CRISIS-

Ciel was able to tell that this man was a threat, and he didn't want to get anywhere near him. Golden eyes stared forward as he tried to figure out his next move. He could climb higher, but eventually he would have to go hunting himself. And then he would be caught.
But even if the man was a shifter, he wasn't going to actually EAT him was he? He clung to the branch for dear life this time, if he fell again, he knew that his life could be in danger. He was afraid-- but even had it not been Jaeger there, he would have been afraid.
...The man, he noticed, didn't look like him. There were no signs of an ear or a tail. He touched his own ear, and it twitched- he couldn't help but quiver a little- they were apparently really sensitive, and he couldn't tell if it hurt or felt good to touch them.
Wait, that wasn't the point right now. There was a strange man down there and he had no idea who he was or why he was here!
Pearing down, just shortly out of the brush so the man could get a glimpse at him, he opened his mouth to speak. "Who..." his voice sounded grainy and his french accent thick-- he sounded like he hadn't had a drink of water in awhile (truth be told, he was VERY thirsty.) "are you..?" he finished, ear twitching as he lowered himself onto another branch- still out of the man's reach, but now in full view.

-YOU USED TO GET IT IN YOUR FISHNETS, NOW YOU ONLY GET IN IN YOUR night DRESS! -
-JAEGER VITALYOVICH ZHILIN;;! - Jaeger sniffed, once again, into the frigid, stagnant air that hung there like the scent of death. There was this scent that kept calling to him, impossible to ignore ; he couldn't exactly put a finger on what it could be, but it was familiar, yet strangely alien to his trained nose. Imagine : a good friend comes to visit you, your best friend, hit you with an aluminum baseball bat in the back of the head. When you come to conciousness, there he is, bloodied baseball bat in all it's glory, and your head hurts far too much to identify him or put a name to his face, but undoubtedly, you know him. That's how it felt; as if he'd suffered amnesia, but the smell was still undoubtedly familiar to him, yet so distant at the same time.
"I know you're there.", he shouted out, into the dense shrubbery. There was no way in hell his senses would've failed him, no, that wasn't even a plausible conclusion. They never did, they never would, they right on the fucking dot every fucking time. His ears, his nose, his eyes, even his damn tongue were on alert, looking for whatever lurked in those darkened bushes. His eyes didn't work as well as he'd like them to in the dark, but it was good enough. But soon, he learned, eh didn't need it, as he heard a thud as something much too heavy hit the ground.
His ears perked up, his eyes turned as a jolt of energy shot through him, adrenaline pumping quickly into his blood. His gray eyes widened as he scanned the area, running his leg around the canines. He shifted down to form quickly, too fast for any pain to be felt as his bones malformed into a skeleton more canine in figure. Lifting his snout in the atmosphere, he sniffed, the boy's emotions sat there, evident to him. Who..., he turned his head, teeth bared as the obvious sign of life rung through the forest. are you..?, he smiled, as the second call was sounded, as if it was a signal he darted through the forest to the source. It was all he needed, as his black eyes found the male, hanging in a branch. He bared his teeth, snarling, as he clawed on the bark, attempting to climb up. I've found you. -ABANDONED ALL THOSE NAUGHTY NIGHTS FOR NICENESS, LANDED IN A VERY COMMON CRISIS-

• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • The yellow eyes widened in realization when the man leapt at him. He looked absolutely terrified, and in his fragile state of mind, he broke down crying. He didn't know what he was supposed to do. Should he run? What if the man gave chase? He was so weak and tired... he didn't know what to do. If he ran, he'd be dead. But then if he didn't wouldn't he also be dead?
Tears poured down his face-- did he used to cry, he wondered? Was this something new. He didn't know who he was. He didn't know what he was. He was terrified and alone, and this was just making it worse. Trembling, he started to move back along the branch to seek shelter in the tree. There were others nearby. He wondered if he could run along their branches and leap between them.
No, he felt too weak. He did, however, climb higher and higher until he was nearly to the top. And once he was out of harm's way for the most part, he curled his knees to his chest and wept. His eats flattened and his tail coiled around himself. He just wanted to disappear or wake up from this nightmare. He had been hoping to find a friendly face, but all he saw was hostility. The man below him scared him and gave off a violent scent- he didn't know what he had done to anger him. He'd just asked his name...
Did the man not speak English? He was French, but he didn't think his English was that bad. He didn't think that he wasn't able to be understood... And the man was speaking English, so really, that nixed his previous thought.
Whatever it was, he wasn't going to be going anywhere. He was going to stay there or be eaten alive.

-YOU USED TO GET IT IN YOUR FISHNETS, NOW YOU ONLY GET IN IN YOUR night DRESS! -
-JAEGER VITALYOVICH ZHILIN;;! - Jaeger sighed, as he shifted back to human form, the crack of his spine as it made the turn a loud enough sound to wake the whole island. My fucking bones are going to be aching by tomorrow morning, he whined to himself, tired of this constant switching back and forth between forms. He decided to rest, sitting down at the base of the tree, burying his head in his knees as he panted, sweat running down his forehead. Usually, he'd only have to change once a night, two if he was hunting. But by now, he'd have to have done it four or so times, and it had taken most of the energy out of him, as he supported his weight against it's trunk, his spinal cord having endured too much abuse to hold him up itself. Fucking kid, he can be damn sure I'm ripping him apart now.
He looked up, his ears finally catching up with brutal reality. His grays darted up, instinct finding the source of the cries faster than they were made, and he sighed. Is this kid really crying?, he asked himself. He scanned over him, his slender, lithe body and his angled eyes reminding him of a housecat. He was a scrawny boy, definitely wouldn't match up to him if they went hand-to-hand; hell, he'd snap him in two.I wonder how hard I'd have to throw him to break him, he envisaged lifting him up and tossing him against a tree, squinting at the sound of wet, bloody bone splintering and cracking in his body. "Stop crying. I don't like my food soggy.", he teased, snickering. He had no intention of eating him, though he liked to entertain the thought, now knowing he was human. Well, humanoid, considering it was night and the child could be a vampire for all he knew. Jaeger almost regurgitated his lunch at the thought of the stagnant, rotted taste of vampire blood gracing his taste buds.
He looked up, seeing the kid was still sobbing. He wasn't completely heartless, and he felt like some kind of bully, going after such harmless prey. He stood up, the strength returning back to his body, as he grabbed the first branch and heaved himself onto it. Jaeger's muscle had caused him to be heavy, naturally, and he got a good grip on the tree in the case it may break. "Come on, kid I was just kidding with you. I thought you were a rabbit or something.", he reassured him, forgetting his previous intentions of ripping him until he was nothing gristle and sinew upon the ground, lapping up the metallic taste of his blood with his tongue. He swung onto a higher branch, almost to the boy. He could have sworn he heard it crack. Fuck I can't even believe I'm doing this, I don't even know this kid. Just leave him to die, Jaeger, he pleaded to himself, but he was already half-way to him, so he may as well. He brought himself up, finally, to the thin branch were the boy sat, sobbing in fear. Sighing, he said to him, "Come on, you can come back to camp with me, if you could call it that.", he sighed, a thick hand reached out to Ciel, helpful of course. He could hear the rest of them laughing at him now, and surely expect a bite on the snout or hard claw against his face from Nero. He heard a crack under him, his stormcloud eyes widening to the size of dinner plates. "We'd better get going before this thing snaps under me.", he said, as he hung off the tree with a single hand, preparing for the long jump down. "And stop fucking crying or I will kill you.", Jaeger glared, as his fingers loosened and he made his descent towards the ground. -ABANDONED ALL THOSE NAUGHTY NIGHTS FOR NICENESS, LANDED IN A VERY COMMON CRISIS-

• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • Ciel gasped, whimpering and backing up, making inaudible sounds when Jaeger got closer and closer until they were on the same level. He was absolutely terrified and confused. He wanted to just blend in with the tree and disappear. Why was this happening to him? What had he done to deserve it? He didn't want to die, though his body felt like it was on fire. His ears-- his ears!? he reached up, touching where his human ears should be, only to find nothing.
He reached up then, through his hair, and wanted to scream when he realized that he had cat ears on top of his head. Instead, he just stared at the man in horror. Yes, he knew he was different, but he'd just seen the claws and tail- he didn't know how different he was, just how mutated upon seeing this man. Mutated... is that what this was? He couldn't remember. Maybe he had just been born this way. So why then, weren't there more of him?
And why didn't think man look like him? He'd seen other humans walking around (he had no idea that some of them were not human at all), and they appeared perfectly normal. He was the only one that didn't look like them. It made him think and wonder if he was truly like them to begin with. Seeing Jaeger upclose only confirmed that. Eyes went downcast as the man started to talk. He was no longer crying other than the occassional sniffle that escaped.
He only looked up when Jaeger said that he would kill him if he kept crying. ...So he had been invited to go to this "camp," for what? Dinner? And was he the main course?
Well, it was either be killed here, wait for something to come kill him, or go with this man and possibly meet his doom... or find out that he was saved. He chose the latter. Cautiously, he climbed down out of the tree, but kept silent until he was on the ground. "Camp...?" it seemed that he was having trouble speaking. His throat sounded scratchy and dry, and the way he was concentrating obviously signalled that he was trying to make his mouth move to the words that came to mind.

-YOU USED TO GET IT IN YOUR FISHNETS, NOW YOU ONLY GET IN IN YOUR night DRESS! -
-JAEGER VITALYOVICH ZHILIN;;! - "Yeah, camp...", he said dully, not knowing how else to reply to such a simplistic statement. Here he had come, assuming most adults would've come to learn the word "camp" by now. Hell if I'm going to be a human dictionary.
Jaeger began trudging toward the faint campfires that alighted the camp, only giving Ciel a quick glance over his shoulder as he made his way back to the island, taking no notice to the new, deridingly less-than-human features of the boy. While he doubted the flame would've been from his pack in particular, it served as a good guide back, seeing as how this had become a recent thing with him. Usually, he wouldn't of had to rely on his human senses, but he decided against shifting. He didn't want to risk scaring the kid any more than he already had.
It wasn't until half way there, with the breeze of wind that ran across the island, that he realized his sudden lack of clothing. He'd become long used to shifting; the transition from human to canine had become fluid-like, painless, and clothes weren't even a bother; though, in better light, he preferred to remove them, seeing as he preferred his few articles of clothing not ripped. Especially that hat, he thought, referring to the ebony beanie he'd taken a liking to. He gave the boy a embarrassed smile, his cheeks turning a slight shade of red. He had hoped that the kid hadn't noticed, the shadows of the forest becoming a sort of makeshift clothing for his nude state. But from the males he'd met on the island so far, they'd jump at the opportunity to catch him naked.
He arched his back over quickly, snapping up his beloved head wear and the flimsy pair of boxers he'd relieved himself of before changing, his other hand grabbing the cargo shorts he'd came in with. "Eh, stop.", Jaeger paused in his tracks, slipping the undergarments on, and placing the hat atop his head of wavy, chocolate colored hair. He cast one eye over his shoulder, expecting a face of shock, but it was Jaeger who got the shock.
Two silver-white ears poked out from from the top of the boy's head, like the antennae of a TV, and a tail swept back and forth beneath him. He darted his head back around, not sure how to feel about it. This place had officially succeeded in scaring the fuck out of him. Taking his perceptions of reality and ripping them into shreds, rearranging them into something that couldn't possibly make sense;i it only made it worse that his "reality" were already fucked as it was, being that he wasn't even human in the first place. Hell, I've seen worse, he reassured himself with a sigh. Still, his eyes couldn't help but dart behind him, as their feet finally felt the sensation of sand. I thought I was the predator, he swallowed, nervous, Here's hoping I don't become the prey. -ABANDONED ALL THOSE NAUGHTY NIGHTS FOR NICENESS, LANDED IN A VERY COMMON CRISIS-

It wasn't that he hadn't noticed, but he didn't particularly care. Nudity was just that-- it didn't register with him that it should be sexual in nature. ... Should he have known better? Why couldn't he answer that question? It was like his prior memories were locked, sealed away somewhere and he was standing at the door-- but they never came to him.
And he just couldn't break down the door no matter how hard he tried. It was frustrating enough to make him cry- but he'd done enough of that. He needed to man up and stop being so afraid. He frowned while looking around at the campfires. So there were a lot of people on this island.
His ears flattened. Why wasn't anyone here like him? No one else had ears and tails... no claws... they looked ordinary-- but they didn't look like him. He felt out of place, like he was a freak, perhaps. It was unnerving. And everyone else had proper clothing. He was the only one who was clad in such attire. As Jaeger dressed, he picked at his hospital gown and shuffled his feet.
He was acting much like a distracted kitten. He was taking in all of the sights, the sounds, the smells-- they were so foreign, so different. he was halfway across the camp but still in the line of sight by the time Jaeger was finished. He was staring at one of the campfires that had burnt our and had sat down infront of it, like he was waiting on it to relight.

-YOU USED TO GET IT IN YOUR FISHNETS, NOW YOU ONLY GET IN IN YOUR night DRESS! -
-JAEGER VITALYOVICH ZHILIN;;! - Jaeger reluctantly kept his back to the boy, a part of his mind telling him it wasn't the best idea. The other part asked, What are you so scared of, Jaeger? A scrawny-ass teenager with cat ears? Man up. He had always followed that part of his mind; it seemed to have the brightest ideas. But sometimes, when he wasn't looking, he listened to the other part ; His eyes darted back behind him, staring at him and examining the odd features. He was so pale; his eyes weren't normal, not in the Asian way, though; He'd gotten used to that, that's simply how they adapted to life there. No, it was his eyes; they were oddly cat-like.
Of course, that's ignoring the fucking cat ears atop his head. They twitched a bit, and his head slammed forward, never to look back until they reached camp and the rest could get a look at him. His gut twisted up; his stomach growling at him either to eat or flee, probably the latter considering he hadn't eaten in nearly two days. But was it possible that it was fear? He wasn't even sure if he was scared of the boy, or why if he was. Well, scratch that. He knew why.
Jaeger wanted his life to be filled with constants. He wished to be normal, but life kept throwing curveballs his way, and he was never able to leap out of the way in time, before they messed everything up. He could've been a normal kid: his father fucked that up by leaving them, and his mother helped by being the town whore. He could've been a human: but one of his mom's 'visitors' decided to sink their venom filled teeth into his flesh, inciting the transformation the next full moon. He could've settled down and had kids: That was his own fault, and he couldn't pin it on someone else. He was a verbal man, preferring to speak in the language of fists and meaningless sex than the one everyone else did. Even so, he grew used to all these twists and turn on this rollercoaster he called a life; he had grown used to shifters, kelpies, vampires, even daimons. But when life decides to mix it up a bit, with something completly alien in something he'd thought he had figured out, he knew his life was shit.
Pay attention, he told himself, as his face smacked into the hard tree trunk with a crunch, his nose hitting the hard bark. He remebered it; the widest tree in the forest. The entrance. The light of a yellow campfire shined from behind it, sending little streaks of fire-produced light their way. They were here. His face lit up, strangely missing the place."Well, here we are. Our humble abode; our home. Unser Haus. Íàø äîì. Notre maison.", he wasn't paying attention to him, instead fumbling around in his pockets, pulling out of box of Marlboro's. He sighed, realizing it was his last one, as he lit it up with the roaring campfire and put it to his lips, puffing smoke rings in Ciel's face. Smoke your troubles away, Jaeg. He glanced at Ciel, gesturing his head at the open hut, annoyed at how he sat there and stared like an idiot. "Why don't you go and make yourself at home. Introduce yourself.", a mischievous smile painted on his lips, he followed closely behind Ciel into the hut, blowing smoke at the back of his head. He wasn't about to miss the look on Nero's face when he saw this kid. -ABANDONED ALL THOSE NAUGHTY NIGHTS FOR NICENESS, LANDED IN A VERY COMMON CRISIS-
