Cathedral found herself walking about the island enjoying the nice cool breezes that swept by. Seeing her brother at the feast had been hard- she wanted to put as much distance between herself and the boy as possible.
She knew her time as Cathedral was winding down. Sad as it was, this body would no longer be a suitable host, and then she would die. She had considered seeking out the help of the witch, but something told her that she had lived a fulfilled life as this girl-- this body, this heart that should be dead yet only beat because she possessed it.
She would have rather Discord thought her dead upon arrival- perhaps he would have time to come to terms with it then.
Cathedral crawled up onto a rock and sighed. No one came around here; she'd heard rumors that it was haunted by a black wolf, but she hoped that by showing it her respect of its territory, she would be safe. Or perhaps it would kill her sooner.
You see, she wasn't a depressed girl. She just knew how to accept her fate, and she had a level head on her shoulders. Right now seemed like it was time to relax. So she happily sprawled out across the rock and allowed herself to get a nice tan. No one would come to disturb her peace.. right?

It was dangerous, slick rocks, the risk of woves...especially the dark wolf that Talbot knew if she ever saw again would cause her a great deal of pain. It was crazy to be taking such a risk, but the small book in her pocket still had several places not yet mapped or made sense of. She didn't feel too endangered though as she climbed the path, some steep, some barely visible. She had begun to feel uneasy in the village...restless as she had yet to find a time to approach the witch, waking up every few nights to a feeling like she had not slept at all.
She had to move, had to get out and do something or else she would go stir crazy. The map she was making, the pictures and notes that the notebook was growing fat with helped her stay calm. Every few moments when she felt the anxiety rise up in her chest she would she would head off, writing, trying to piece together everythign that was this island.
Now the rain was gone, stopped, a pleasant surprise as she removed her jacket. The sun felt good on her skin beneath the violet tank top she wore. Giving a sigh she stopped for a minute to breath and take in the sight of the caves and the rocks around her.
That was when she saw the body. Something in the air made the hairs on the back of her neck prick up as she gave an involutary sniff of the air. Something felt off, but it didn't feel bad as she moved closer towards the other girl.
"This is not the best place to lie out and get some sun." She spoke up, stopping a few feet away to give both of them a safe distance if danger presented itself, "In that case it's also bad to be out alone period, but this place is not the nicest tanning salon luv."
Taking out her notebook she began to sketch, writing out notes slowly about what she could see, "Then again I guess saying that one place is unsafe on a island like this is redundant."

Well, no matter. She continued lying where she was, simply listening to the stranger's warning. It didn't surprise her to hear it, in fact, she'd much expected such an encounter while being here. It was either a warning or the wolf come to rip out her throat.
She wondered which she would have preferred.
"Actually, it's the best place I've found on the island thus far. Certainly it may be the home to a rather large wolf... but should he find me and kill me, well then, it must have been my time to go." How could she fear death when she knew she'd keep on living? As long as her daimon form wasn't killed...
Whatever, she was going to hell anyways. It wasn't as if this was a big deal.
"And that is a bit hypocritical, is it not? Aren't you walking around in this area alone?"
The girl didn't seem like she was coming down from her spot anytime soon, but she didn't seem uninerested in the girl's conversation. Cathedral was just odd like that. That's all there was to it. [/blockquote][/blockquote] • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • •

The small scratches and hisses of pencil on paper filled the silence as Talbot waited for a reply. A brief moment passed as she looked up, worried for a moment that she'd discovered and had talked to a corpse of some sort. However when the other spoke Talbot gave a small sigh of relief. "You're a bit morbid aren't you. Excepting death as it comes. Human instinct is to fight for life...so you must be an exception."
She stopped her notes, head tilting a bit to the side as she listened to the still air. "Of course I'm alone." She replied, "Really everyone is alone on this island. I'm safe though because the big bad wolf that really does eat people already visited me. I'm pushing my luck and seeing what the result is. So far I've been very lucky on this island...." Trailing off she set her things down. Having found the island, survival, the allies. She counted them as her blessings.
"So are you waiting to get eaten or are you really just getting some sun. I'm not sure how I feel about having a conversation with someone trying to kill themselves without having to at least step in and tell you something to try to inspire you to actually live your life in this place. All I can really say is that there are easier ways to do it." One slender hand came up and brushed the dark curls away from her face as she sat down, stretching out her legs. She didn't know why, but Talbot felt comfortable talking to the other, perfect stranger...and it brought out a more at ease side of the girl.
"I'm Talbot."

I have no desire to die, but I don't fear death. There is a difference," she stated rather blandly, but not condescendingly. Cathedral wasn't one to talk down to people, but she did state things as she saw them, and she could come across as brash. Maybe that was why some people didn't care for her company. Or was it simply that she was depressing and people didn't want to be around her?
If she was, it wasn't intentional. But a smile came to her lips when the woman introduced herself. "The name's Cathedral Vradica," she said in a tone that lent itself to hints of mystery.
"If what you say is true, then we're both in danger here, but you're in no panic to leave, so why should I be unless you're just trying to get me to leave?" Again, Cathedral continued her chatter. In a way, she was just talking to herself. But the words were also meant for Talbot.
A yawn graced her pretty face as she stretched and looked down at the girl from her position on the rocks. Curious. The girl wasn't human, she was talking to a shifter. Wouldn't a shifter know better than to come onto another shifter's territory. Cathedrall-- or rather, Subterfuge-- was immortal unless killed by another daimon, but the girl before her was not.
