HELLO, MY NAME IS RHYS SEBASTIAN AND I AM 26 YEARS OLD. I'M A HUMAN AND RANK AS NEWCOMER AND I WAS BORN ON 26/OCTOBER/1984 IN ENGLAND. MY NATIONALITY IS ENGLISH/WELSH. PEOPLE SAY I LOOK LIKE RUFUS SEWELL. THEY ALSO SAY THAT I AM STUBBORN, CHARMING, INQUISITIVE, AND DIRECT. TO BE HONEST, I'M BEING PLAYED BY ANNACHIBI.CODEWORD: IVORY
ROLE PLAY SAMPLE:Micah felt uneasy that morning. He'd half a mind to call in sick and just take Hope to the park or something, but that was a bit drastic for a gut feeling. Besides, Hope was so excited to see her friends at daycare. He never could refuse his little girl when she was smiling up at him like that. She wasn't spoiled, or at least she certainly didn't act like it. Hope was the sweetest, kindest little girl in the world, and it wasn't just him who thought so. The ladies at her daycare were always commenting on some nice thing she'd done for the other children that day. Her father just wished she would stay that way when she grew up.
At about 11 AM, he was typing on his computer when one of his co-workers, Dave, burst into his office.
"Micah, come take a look at this, it's crazy!"
Dave practically dragged him into the lounge with what seemed like everyone else in the building, where he pointed to the TV. There was a picture of what looked like a huge, spiky crystal in the sky. He flipped through the channels. The same thing was being broadcast on every station. It was like 9/11 all over again. The news anchors were calling it a UFO, arguing over whether it was an elaborate hoax or not. People were bringing in experts on all sorts of subjects to try to figure it out.
"She said a new era was about to begin, some 'adjustments' would have to be made, but that they mean no harm, they're only trying to help," said Dave.
"What? Who is 'she'?"
"The alien chick, looks like a human but with pointy ears. She was on earlier; she broadcast a message on every station about an hour ago. That's what started people freaking out, but now there's that thing hovering over Arbordale. Hey, isn't that where you live?"
The information slammed into Micah's brain, and all he could think about was keeping Hope safe. "Shit. Dave, I'm going to pick up my kid. Tell the boss, okay?" He looked around at everyone mildly freaking out around him. Nobody was getting any work done today. "Not like it matters much."
With that, he grabbed his jacket and his keys and was out the door towards his car.
The commute home from work usually took 20 minutes on a good day, and today was not a good day. The traffic was horrible. Everybody was rushing to get to their loved ones and the streets were packed. Nearly an hour had passed by the time Micah reached the little house near the park that now served as a daycare for the kids in Arbordale. There was a minivan coming in behind him as he got out of his own car and made for the screen door, but he had only just touched the top step when the ground suddenly rushed up at him and he fell through a mess of fabric...
He had seemed to run right into the screen door. Maybe that's what had dazed him. He looked around, his surroundings much bigger than they had just been. He was the size of a doll! And naked! What on earth had just happened? Then he noticed that the minivan had crashed right into his car and kept going, smashing both vehicles into the daycare. Oh, god, where was Hope? Was she okay? Micah turned his attention to the screen door and pulled it, but he couldn't make it budge. Luckily, though, he found a tear in the screen and managed to pry it open enough that he could squeeze through.
"Hope! Where are you?" he called.
"Daddy?" came a faint voice from the next room, the one that had been run through with the two cars.
"I'm coming to get you! Don't move!"
The race to Hope's side was a blur in his memory when he tried to recall it later. He didn't see anyone else, the whole place was collapsed in a mess. How he managed to find his daughter in all the rubble was a miracle in itself. When he did finally reach her, the lower half of her body was pinned under a board that was stained red with blood. He didn't dare try to move her. She looked up at him, her eyes slightly out of focus.
"Daddy? Where are your clothes?" she asked.
He dropped to her side and held her close. He could barely speak, his voice filled with tears. "It doesn't matter, baby girl. Oh god, I can't lose you, please, not you too..."
"It's okay, Daddy," she said, trying to smile. "It doesn't hurt."
She died with such a peaceful look on her face.
