He wasn't sure what he was doing here.
One minute he was lying on his bed next to his little sister as she chatted away, and the next he's alone in the middle of a meadow. At first he thought maybe he had fallen asleep and began dreaming, that could have been the only explanation, but it felt too real. Sitting up in the grass he had formerly been lying on he glanced around the open space of the vibrant meadow. Alone.
It felt really weird being alone, seeing as how he and his sister were rather close, more-so then most brother-sister relationships. That's what happens when you are orphaned, you stick with what you know and when it's close to being torn away you make it out to be that if one sibling left it would be the death of the other; that was mostly always worked with other kids. Luckily Maryann and Theodore St. Clandestine were prepared to have two children; Reece and Massie didn't have to worry about leaving each other, or fighting to stay. But now that he was alone, without Massie, he didn't know what he would do.
Blinking rapidly to stop the tears he could feel welling in his eyes he stood, trying to distract his mind from his sister. While he was here, and hopefully it wasn't too long because he needed to get back to Masella St. Clandestine, but if this wasn't a dream he was definitely going to find a way to get out of here. With his bright hazel eyes he scanned the meadow, rubbing his hand over his hair to flatten it after he had spiked it, this was way too confusing for someone who was lost. Even though he was in a meadow, in the dead center now, bordered by trees and a little pathway, which he wasn't sure was safe to take, he was nervous. And Reece St. Clandestine was not good at being nervous, it made him ill. Literally.
Wrapping himself with his arms as he sat, his knees to his chest, shaking as though he was losing blood sugars and fast. He wasn't diabetic, that was for sure, but he certainly felt like it at that moment. Unable to cease the shaking, he rocked himself back and forth, closing his eyes and breathing deeply, hoping that he could go back home and hear his sister still chattering at him. After five minutes of utter silence, it was obvious his attempt was failing. Standing again he followed the pathway, curious as to where it lead. But he was ignorant to believe that it wouldn't circle him back to the meadow. I'm stuck right here, or I have bad navigational skills? He chose the latter, since he clearly remember always have horrible navigation when he was home.
"This is so fucked up," he complained, running his hand though his blond hair in frustration, not even bothering to flatten it down. He threw himself down on the meadow floor, his back to the sky, his head resting on his crossed arms, a sigh escaping his thin lips. "This is so fucked up," he muttered again to himself. He thought he would at least be able to relax, but he couldn't. His whole body was tense, and he felt as though he was being watched.
Am I alone?

Go out and explore the island on your own Marie, Daddy's words repeating over and over in her mind as she easily made her way through the island with the slowly darkening sun above. She was determined to prove herself to Pleasant so she would explore and then he would be so proud of her when he found out. Her eyes clouded to the fact that he had sent her on this little mission just so that she would leave him alone for a few hours. She almost met face first with a tree when she heard the young voice come from the meadow next to the tree she had nearly become quite close with. Marie patted the tree as if to say goodbye or to thank it for helping her find someone new to play with or maybe a little bit of both. Dressed in a bold black and white striped tank and short black shorts, her shoes long forgotten as soon as they had arrived on this island. If she was able Marie would run around all the time barefoot, even if she did get the occasional thorn in her foot for it. She came up to his side, that vampire speed being used without even a second thought. Holding her hands behind her back and bending over at her middle with those short pale blonde strands getting in her eyes. "Whats the matter?" she asked her voice in a much happier tune then most she had seen on this island. Though that wasn't giving any of them much credit since she was usually watching from the cover of the trees without their slightest clue that she was there.

Reece hadn't really been expecting anyone to come around. He actually hoped he could just sit here and be alone, maybe fall asleep and wake up on his bed with his sister still chatting to him; though he had a feeling that wouldn't happen. No he was stuck here alone, while his sister was in a nice house, while he was in the middle of a meadow in a place he had never seen before. He couldn't help but wish he could leave, wish he wasn't here, with he was only dreaming. Shaking his head on his arms he decided to sit up again, he had no idea what to do while he was here in this area of whatever planet he was on. He watched the sky as it slowly began to darken, his hazel eyes glinting the last rays of the sun.
He felt as though someone was approaching him and then he heard a soft female voice coming in his direction. When he looked where the voice had come he saw a blond girl bending down to face him. He couldn't help but speak when his eyes met here, "I don't know why I am here, I don't even know where here is. I don't know how I got here ... one second I'm talking to my sister and the next I'm in the middle of a fucking meadow." He shook his head, closing his eyes out of anger. He was trying to think of something else, trying to find a logical reason for all of it, but he couldn't. "This is so fucking messed up," he muttered again after a moment of silence. He didn't know what to say to this girl, he didn't even know this girl.
Of course, being the gentlemen he was he couldn't help his manners. "I'm Reece St. Clandestine, miss," he stuck out his hand for her to shake. "You can call me Reece, though." It was something that was so natural it made him sick, but he didn't decline the offer. He had been raised by a high class orphanage, and then again by a very prominent family back in Australia. He wasn't just one of those bad-boy bums, like some of the kids that went to the same academy as him, unlike them Reece had class. "And you are?" he added quickly. It didn't surprise him that even being here his manners kicked in, we was always the proper gentleman, even though he was typically shyer around the ladies, he still had high respect for them.
Reece St. Clandestine was different then most people. His only explanation was that he was a St. Clandestine.

Marie sat down next to the boy, not waiting for any invitation as she listened to him go on. He sounded just like another when they had found themselves on the island, maybe that was the reason she was able to show such concern so easily for what she could make such an easy meal. Though maybe Daddy was right and maybe she was just to concerned about humans with all their silly worries.
She plucked at a couple pieces of grass in front of her, "Well I can't tell you why you're here since I wasn't there." Marie smiled trying to make the boy feel at least a little bit better, she still had a soft heart for men somehow. She should have been concerned listening to a boy use curses so freely, her old life coming back to her in flashes but Daddy was usually worse then that on a good day.
"Marie Boucher," she gave another small smile since he was so nice to give his own name first and such a name it was. It was a good thing Daddy wasn't here, he would be so upset one she was telling so much of the truth and two she was being much too nice again. Well, bad habits die hard she guessed. "I've been stuck on this island for a little while now," she continued talking now not able to stop, "with my father. I don't think I'll be much help with the whole getting off the island thing."

This had been the closest or most that he has ever talked to a girl besides his sister. It was weird for him, new. He had never expected talking to such a pretty girl, he always thought he would be shyer when it came to that, letting the only girl he had talked to ever be his sister. Unlike the people he hung out with in Australia, at the Academy, they weren't shy around girl, in fact they were less than shy. And the girls, well they were pretty loose. Reece was always a good guy, always cared more about the other person than himself. He hated talking about himself because he didn't find anything about himself fascinating; he liked hearing other people talk. Reece liked observing, learning everything he needed to know through words and actions rather than poking and prodding like they were test subjects in science class.
Reece St. Clandestine was nothing more than a proper gentleman, despite his cursing in front of ladies. "I apologize for my language, Miss Marie," he smiled, nodding in an apologetic way. He had always disliked people who cursed in front of women...yet, he had a tendency to slip up. Not everyone can be perfect, even a St. Clandestine for that matter.
"Stuck on this island," he sighed, "So there is no chance in getting off, at all?" He looked around, trying not to curse again, but in his mind every curse word that fit the situation was flying about. He could already tell he would hate it here, but if he could make friend, that would lessen the blow incredibly. "You're here with your father? So there is a chance that my sister is here too?" Of course he had a feeling he was dead alone in the family area on this island. Besides, he wouldn't want his sister to be here, on this weird island. "May I ask what this island is called?"
Maybe he had studied this island in geography, though he probably would have known about an island with a thriving population. He, his sister, and his foster parents often vacationed on remote islands. Every summer, since the day he and his sister were adopted, they took a vacation to a different island every time. That was one of the perks of being adopted, most of the kids at the prestige orphanage were adopted by thriving million or billionaires around Australia, luckily his sister and himself were adopted by an extremely nice and caring, rich couple.
He crossed his arms on his knees as he brought them to his chest. He averted his eyes to the green grass below him as he rested his chin on his arms. "What is it like here?" He was curious, of course. Any person welcoming themselves on an island would be curios as to what the place they now resided was like, and he was certainly one of the curious. Being who he was and all.

That sweet smile, this pleasant conversation was just a little act made pretty like Marie used to be made up all those years ago. Now with this boy, it kept bringing them back and she was still trying desperately to at least lock them away. The memories like ghosts taunting in her mind, all those reasons why she wanted to run from the boy all the way to the water and keep going just to get away. No, she couldn't, she had to stay here with Daddy. He was her whole entire everything, the one who gave her a new life, a real life. He was the one who saved her from that place and her first Daddy.
Marie had acted when they came to tell her that her father had passed, that he was in a horrible accident. Though when they left her to be by herself, she could only smile because she knew the true reason to her father's passing. A small blue eyed boy was her savior, her angel, to take her away from this hell on earth that made her preform like a doll on a string for the highest bidder. She should have been repulsed by what the boy truly was that her angel was actually a beast, but she was much to pleased to feel, to think, any other way. So, now before her sat a new one. One that was so close to the time, the time when he would awaken as one of those beasts as all of them did. It would only be a matter of time and she didn't want to be the one that he tested himself with. "Ah, no problem dear," she smiled still distracted by her own thoughts.
"Well we have only been here for a short amount of time," she replied to his sling of questions that seemed to all come at once, "There may be a way off. I don't know." Marie watched the sky with her mind full of her past, she couldn't bare look at the boy right now. Then she almost shivered at the word before remembering that she had called Daddy that awful name. "Yes, we came here together," she glanced back at him for a moment, "She could be here. You will just have to look."
"Ivory," she replied simply, "as I have been told." The name of island making no sense to her, but the boy hadn't asked that just its name. Marie moved quickly getting up to her feet as she spun looking like the little girl she sometimes acted as such. "Hell," she answered his last question, the small spin came to a stop. Reece was normally the kind of guy that would think before he acted, but he couldn't help himself around Marie. She was cute, and she had been nice to him even though he had started off less the pleasant. He sounded like a little bitch complaining about the fact that his sister wasn't there and that he had a feeling he couldn't get off this island, which he began to think was stupid and he wasn't even there for more than an hour. "I have some hope that she could be here, but I just have that feeling..." He spoke softly, trying to resist the urge to do something incredibly stupid. "Y'know that sickening feeling where you feel like you're alone? I don't think she's here." He nodded, his decently good mood slowly slipping through the cracks and running from him as a new mood wafted over his being.
Typically he stayed in a good mood, typically he didn't go into his depression mood; not like this. Reece never really let this mood slip in while his other mood shifted between good and not so good. "Ivory doesn't seem like that great a place to me," he snickered, not really caring anymore. He wasn't going to force himself to be the kind little boy he was, if it happened it did if not, oh well. He didn't know where this was coming from, and quite frankly he didn't really care. Only once in a while would he be hit with a feeling as great as this one; and even still it wasn't normally this bad. Reece had never really been the bad guy, no matter how many time his friends said he would be, he was just a little different... Which was probably the reason why he was being the way he was now. He was remembering something he had pushed back for so long, he was remembering why he and his sister were put up for adoption.
... That never put him in a good mood.
Reece blamed it on his mother, the way he was. He blamed the fact that he shifted into a lemur on his crack head of a mother; though his father probably had more to do with it than her but seeing as how he never knew his father he couldn't very well put the blame on someone nameless - even if they clearly existed. Not too long after his sister was born he found out exactly the extent of his nature, night of the full moon where the change into a lemur made it his permanent shifting animal ... When his mother saw her son shift into an animal she was more than willing to leave both Reece and his sister on the front steps of the orphanage in Australia.
Reece wasn't normally the one to hold grudges, but that was the one thing he would never forget. Ever since then he took care of his sister and himself, even though the foster home was more than willing to help. He'd never forget the woman's face either. It was as though, ever since that day, the woman's face was etched into his brain, there forever. He would never forget the vile woman that gave up his sister and him, though, now that he was adopted by the best family he and his sister could ever ask for he had forgotten all about that unhappy life he had. That was a good thing, for sure, but now that he was on Ivory, everything was coming back to him. Almost like a Tsunami crashing on the Hawaiian islands.
"How did you get here with your father?" He questioned curiously. Reece had been sitting right next to his sister and she hadn't been beside him when he woke up on this strange island. Unless of course they just found each other somehow, but he truly doubted that he would find his sister; he could usually sense her around but he couldn't here. Like most animals they can sense other animals that are predators or others that are the same, or even different, it was like that between him and his sister. It had always been like that after she had been born, they just had that special bond.
