Rhys is a solitary guy by nature, but that's not to say he can't make friends; he just doesn't get very close to them easily. He only opens up to those he considers trustworthy because he is afraid of betrayal. When his best friend moved to Japan to be with his fiancee, Rhys took it rather hard, though he would never admit it.

Rhys hasn't been lucky in love, being hurt too deeply and too many times to count. Though he's a real romantic at heart, he has had to shut down that part of himself. However, if someone were to take the time to gently coax him out of his protective shell, they would find him to be a loyal and affectionate lover.
