One minute, he and Isaac had been having a good time on the ship (though Alexiel had to be carefully monitored so that he didn't accidentally drain their victims and attract unwanted attention at sea), the next their ship had started to get sucked UNDER the water.
Isaak had told him everything was going to be okay, and of course Alexiel believed him. Isaak had saved him when he had thought he was going to die before, so why wouldn't he do the same again? Unfortunately, truth be told, all had seemed completely lost. And though they'd stayed on the cruise ship as long as possible, eventually they'd been left for dead in the sea, too.
Hours had passed in the warm, dark waters. Alexiel had finally fallen asleep when exhaustion had overtaken him. His dreams had consisted of jumbled things, really, nothing related to his current predicament. Cakes and icecreams, he and Isaak were in his favorite chocolate dessert parlor in Germany-- it was a date, and Alex had felt so grown up.
It was a nice dream, and he hadn't wanted to wake up. Especially not where he was waking up. He coughed and started to push himself up from the sands of Ivory's shoreline. It was way too bright, but- wait. It was land! Alexiel's eyes widened and he started to look around. Isaak had to be around here somewhere, didn't he? Isaak had to have made it, too! What if he had swam them here? Well, that was only because he was that amazing.
Alexiel stood up, his cute clothes were still damp and covered in sand (he wanted a bath). He wasn't really dressed for the beach. Of course, they were heading to a city, not to beaches where they had been going. "ISAAK!" Alex called, not caring what attention he brought to himself. "ISAAK! WHERE ARE YOU?" he started to run down the shore, feeling panicked. He didn't see him anywhere. He felt lost, very lost. He just had to find Isaak. He had to.

He wasn't certain what had went wrong. Alexiel had even been behaving himself, for the most part. But before he knew it they were both in the water and waiting to be rescued. But that hadn't happened. When Alexiel had fallen asleep Isaak finally had to make a move to rescue them himself. Alexiel couldn't tread water while he was sleeping so Isaak had to support him, but that sleeping weight became heavy after awhile. That was when the glint of white sandy beaches was noticed in the faint light. He had no idea where they were but they couldn't stay out in the middle of the water, not with the dark shapes swimming around beneath.
It had taken a great amount of effort and time but he finally got both of them onto the shore and away from any dangers that the elder vampire could easily spot. But after the effort he was exhausted and had passed out. It didn't last long though. Not when the heat of the sun bore down on his body. It wasn't often that he got out into the direct light. It wasn't for fear of the myths but because his eyesight was weakened by the bright light, just a side effect of living in the dark for so many years and having excellent night vision. And well, the heat wasn't as pleasant as the coolness of the night.
A glance was given to Alexiel, allowing the sleeping boy to rest still, before walking down the beach. Nothing of harm was pricking at his senses so he felt relatively calm leaving the boy alone as he searched for shade and food. He would worry about actual shelter later. Right now he wanted to get out of direct sunlight and he figured his fledgling would be hungry after such a traumatic event. Or was that just him?
Isaak had just come to find some furry little animals hiding beneath the shade of a tree when he heard his name ring out across the beach. He winced when the sound hit his ears. It wasn't because he didn't want to be found but because the young vampire was being too loud. Really, how many times did he have to tell him not to yell because he could hear just fine? Lifting up an arm to shade his eyes from the sun he stepped back out onto the open beach to see the boy running towards him. In his hands he held a couple of bunnies by the ears. It wasn't much to eat but it was something for now.
"Alexiel!" The other's name was called out with a wave, directing the younger male's attention towards him. He remained standing just where he was to make it easier for Alexiel to notice him. He couldn't help smiling as he noticed how panicked and worried the other was. It was sweet, charming... He had to quickly cut off that line of thought. More than any of that Alexiel was young. Too young.

• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • It was surprising to Alexiel that he was able to find the man with such ease. Then again, he should have known that Isaak wouldn't venture too far from him, especially without telling him first if he needed to. But he was still young yet, and the fear of being alone had struck him deep. A look first of surprise, then of relief crossed his youthful features and lit up those bright blue eyes. "Isaak!" he cried. So much for being quiet upon seeing the other vampire.
Slender legs carried him fast to his vampire lord, and his arms quickly wrapped around Isaak's torso. He was considerably short compared to Isaak- whether that was from not yet having hit his growth spurt or the obvious asian heritege in his veins (such an odd combination -- his face was distinctly asian, but his hair and eyes gave way to his German blood.) His height must have been from those genes.
"I'm so happy to see you!" now that he was right beside Isaak, he was no longer shouting. He seemed to have calmed enough to speak normally, even if his words carried with them the obvious inflection of a boy excited to be re-united with his "big brother." Well, yes, it was quite an odd thing, even for Alexiel that he would call the man he had a crush on "big brother." Then again, even before he was made into a vampire, he hadn't been the most normal boy on the planet.
It was no wonder that Isaak couldn't trust to leave him alone for too long. He trusted far too easily, the best example being how quickly he'd accepted the fact he was a vampire and how he'd believed the lies he had to be fed when he accidentally killed his victims. He was supposed to drink without draining, but a year old by vampire standards, he hadn't been able to control his thirst more often than not. And even now he didn't realize he was a murderer.
"The sun... it's too bright," he pouted, as if Isaak could magically make the clouds cover the sky for them. "Where are we? How did we get here? Ne, I'm hungry," cue his short attention span and the fact he was all too curious about the new place they'd found themselves on.

Of course Isaak couldn't get too far away from Alexiel. There was no telling what sort of trouble the boy would get himself into. After all he had a knack of finding some sort of trouble in the few moments that it took to blink. So he remained near enough to the boy for his senses to pick up on nearby trouble. If he would have sensed Alexiel in harm's way then he would have rushed back but he hadn't. No, the younger male was just spooked by waking up in a new place all alone. Or at least that is how Isaak figured it to be.
Fingers tousled Alexiel's hair as the young vampire clung to him. The strands still hand dampness to them and were matted with sand. Part of him was tempted to force Alexiel out into the ocean so that he could clean him up and get rid of the sand but the more logical part of his brain decided it wouldn't be the best alternative, especially since they would be right out in the open. Then there was the factor of currents and predators in the water. No, a stream would be better. The water would be tamer at the very least.
"Here, eat this." Isaak handed over the bunny whose neck he had snapped. Just as he had guessed his little fledgling would be hungry. "It is all that I could find for now." Of course he would looks again later. After he could get Alexiel to a safe place. Speaking of which, he made to lift the boy into his arms. He sought to try and settle Alexiel on his hip, much like someone would carry a young child, so that he could bring the boy to the shade. It wasn't much but at least it would be easier on the eyes.
"I'm not sure where we are exactly. It isn't where we were going though. We can look around more after you eat and rest." Even though the other had just woken up. Still, Isaak was looking forward to walking about while the sun was high. As it were his eyes were hurting and he had a pounding headache. All he wanted was to get to some place darker and close his eyes until it subsided. "We also need to check you out and make sure that you aren't hurt of have some nasty little creatures on you." Like leeches that would steal away whatever Alexiel consumed. Or well, the words could end up just being a ploy to get the young boy naked so that he could look at him and touch him. Though Isaak really was worried about anything that might be feeding off of Alexiel.

• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • It was true, after sizable meals of humans, feeding off of animals was hardly satisfying. Still, Alexiel knew that Isaak had done his best, and if there weren't any humans around, then this was going to have to be their alternative. Taking the bunny gratefully, the young vampire began to drain it dry. It was nothing more than a snack-- a placeholder until they could find a larger meal (he briefly wondered if giraffes were on the island. He'd always wanted to see what a giraffe tasted like.)
"I hope they're other people on this island." most teenagers-- well, he was just old enough to be considered a teenager-- would have hoped for people to be present so that they wouldn't be so alone. They'd want friends to play with, a civilization to blend into. But when Alexiel said 'other people' what he really meant was 'meals'. Nothing like a strong appetite to make a fledgling vampire forget that he had social needs. Though, truth be told, Alexiel was just content to bond with Isaak.
He squeaked, or made a noise akin to a squeak, when he was lifted off the ground and into the other vampire's arms. Most boys his age would have started a firm protest that they were indeed not children and could walk, but Alexiel simply looped his arms around Isaak's neck and brought the bunny away from his lips. He had completely drained the creature, which was no surprise. If he could drain a six-foot man, he could drain a tiny bunny easily.
"Creatures?!" Alexiel looked alarmed. But at least he was keeping his volume in check and wasn't shouting so loud as to draw the attention of any possible predators to them. "I need a bath," so much for worrying about creatures. Alexiel had tried to push some blonde hair out of his eyes when he noticed that the salt water and sand had clammed in his hair for a rather unflattering mess.
At least it seemed that the beaches led into the forest, amongst which they were currently standing at the entrance of. With any luck, the trees would provide enough ample shade for them to explore and get through without becoming baked in the sun. Alexiel, luckily, hadn't spent too much time out in it, but the time he had spent running in search of Isaak had drained him rather good, and he didn't think the redness of his cheeks was attributed to blushing.
Deciding he'd had enough of the holding (and the fact he was worried about Isaak's health), Alexiel wiggled in the hold until he had successfully landed back on his feet. He took his master's hand and smiled up at him. "You look tired... We should find better shelter. he gave the man a smile, trying to show that he wasn't ungrateful for the affection, but he was simply worried about being a burden. He knew it probably wasn't easy to look after him.
Just because he was more often than not an airhead didn't mean he didn't have his moments of perceptiveness.

It seemed that for now they would just have to make do with whatever little critter crossed their path that they could catch and consume. It would never be enough to satisfy but it would still act as nourishment. And right now Isaak was more worried about keeping Alexiel fed then finding anything for himself. He was old enough that he could skip a few meals without too much harm. He wouldn't be quite as perceptive but he would still be able to function enough to keep his little fledgling safe from harm. And that really was the most important thing to him right now.
"We will find out later." Like most everything that Alexiel could want and wonder about Isaak simply wanted to put it all off. He had always been rather lethargic once the sun came up. The bright sapping away at his energy. The daytime being something he'd rather avoid if at all possible. "Perhaps you will be able to make friends that you won't end up eating." It was a thought at least. While he'd rather be the one watching over Alexiel simply because Isaak didn't trust anyone else with him he also didn't want the boy to be without friends. Every child his age had a number of friends. He didn't want Alexiel to miss out on that just because of his condition. Still there was that worry that as the boy aged, without ever physically growing older, that he would come to hate having ever been turned. Isaak had been lucky with his turning seeing as he was past school age. Should they ever be able to leave this island, or even finding inhabitants and a school system, then Alexiel would be stuck repeating the same courses over and over again because of his physical age.
"Don't worry, I will get rid of them if there are any." After all he didn't want Alexiel to lose what he just ate. Especially since that was the only thing that Isaak could find quickly. "As do I. Perhaps we can find a stream nearby." It was a hope since he really didn't want to travel too much farther in broad daylight. Not when a nap sounded like the best option right now. But he couldn't sleep while Alexiel was awake. There was no telling what sort of trouble the boy would get into if Isaak happened to drift off.
When his fledgling started wiggling the elder vampire loosened his hold so that Alexiel could get down. He gave the other's hand a light squeeze and smiled down at him. "Do not worry about me. I am old enough to care for myself." Living as long as he had he came to know to what limits he could be pushed. "Though we should find somewhere to spend the day as well as a source of water for you to bathe in." After all Isaak had been serious about checking for creatures. There was no telling what had been in that water. He could quite easily be worrying for nothing but it was better to make certain and there be nothing there than to not check and something happen to the other.
Isaak kept a hold on Alexiel's hand, keeping the teenager close to him, as he headed further into the forest. Every few moments or so the older male would glance around, familiarizing himself with the are as well as being on the lookout for trouble. It was during one glance that he noticed a stream. "Look there, you can get a bath and I can check to make sure that you haven't collected anything." He pointed out the water to Alexiel. But as he did so he also tightened his hold on the youth's hand. He didn't want the young boy to get excited and run off. If they already knew the area and knew that nothing was there with a certainty then Isaak wouldn't have minded it. But not knowing what might be waiting for them he wanted to keep his fledgling at his side as he headed in that direction.

• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • That same cute pout came back again when Isaak mentioned the fact that 'maybe he could make some friends without eating them'. Yes, he did miss interacting with the other kids, but he also wasn't opposed to this life. He'd accepted it so easily, much easier than most his age would have when they realized they could no longer be with their families.
You see, Alexiel didn't have much of a family. His parents were gone-- his mother hadn't wanted him and his father was absent. He'd been raised by his grandmother, and with her heath decaying, he knew she had needed to be in a home where people stronger than he could look out for her. He wondered, sometimes, if she was still alive... but he'd been such a burden on her. Even when he tried to help out around the house he ended up breaking things or burning food on the stove. And he talked to strangers so much he nearly gave the woman a heart attack on multiple occassions.
He'd been taking a walk into town since the woman couldn't drive in order to get himself some icecream when he'd been hit by the car. He would have died if not for Isaak. Since he had been changed, he hadn't looked back. Not once, even though that meant that his life had been changed forever. To say he was popular in school would have been a stretch- but he had friends (mainly female), and he liked everyone, even the bullies. Well, what would those bullies be able to say now that he had Isaak? Nothing!
Alexiel knew why his hand was being held, even though he wanted to believe it was because Isaak liked him. No, it was so he wouldn't run off and cause trouble as he was prone to do. And when the stream was pointed out, Isaak was right to tighten his grip, for there was a slight jerk when he tried to run off to it.
His big blue eyes turned to gaze up at Isaak as if saying "But whyyyyy? Even if he knew the answer to that question. Why was because who knew what kind of predators were out there.
As they neared the stream, Alexiel took a long glance at the water. "It looks clean...." it was small, and he didn't see any fish, at least not in this area. But if there was a freshwater stream, then that meant there was a lake nearby, right? But there could be even more dangerous things in the lake, so he stayed put, waiting on Isaak's go ahead before he would get undressed and hop in the water.
To say Alexiel was shy would be lying-- he WAS shy around girls, but only because they made him uncomfortable. But Isaak was another guy, and though Alexiel's grown-up, teenage mind told him that by having a crush, he should be embarrassed, his irrational side asked him what he was so afraid of. They were both guys, it was nothing they hadn't seen before.

Isaak had been learning about Alexiel's past bit by bit. What might seem surprising was that he actually did listen whenever the boy was prone to ramble on. He might not respond to everything but he listened to it all. After all what was there for him to say to the younger male worrying about his elderly grandmother? Isaak had been without family for a great period of time. Actually he would be surprised if there were any that were any even living in this day age age. Most likely if there were any then they would be distant relatives that he would have no clue about anyways.
Of course Isaak liked him, though the boy could prove to give him one headache after another. He had even told the boy that he loved him, of course that had been after Alexiel had settled down to sleep and was accompanied with a kiss to the forehead and tucking the boy in. For someone who had never had a child before Isaak had gotten the parent thing down. Granted there was that period of time that he had to watch a friend's fledgling. Still, that was nothing like raising your own. Especially not one like Alexiel where you couldn't even turn your back on him.
"Stay with me. There might be something scary that we can't see yet." He gave the words to respond to the other's questioning look. Right now Isaak wasn't putting full trust into his senses. Maybe when the sun went down and he knew that he could depend on them but not right now. Not when tiredness and sleepiness nagged at the edges of his mind. It even showed as he worked to stifle a yawn. This would be the time that Isaak was typically in bed and sleeping with an arm curled around Alexiel's waist whenever the boy chose to share a bed with him. Which has seemed to be often even though he had set Alexiel up with his own room. And it seemed that they would have to end up resorting back to sharing a room, or cave, or whatever sort of shelter they would be able to find.
He nodded his head in response to Alexiel's assessment. The water was clear and there was nothing but the bed to be seen. There also didn't seem to be any sort of predators in the area, at least none other than themselves. Feeling the area to be relatively safe he released Alexiel's hand so that the other could get undressed and take a bath. "Go on and get cleaned up." Isaak would need a bath as well but he would wait. After all he had to remain alert for Alexiel's sake.
As the young male undressed Isaak swept his gaze across the other's body. It was an entirely innocent survey, really. He was just checking for any sort of bug or other critter on Alexiel's body. Not seeing anything, though he hadn't really done an intense survey on anything below the waist, Isaak bent down to check the boy's clothes next, just to make sure. "When the sun goes down we can go back to the beach and see if our luggage has washed up." It was a long shot but it wasn't like they couldn't hope for it. No doubt Alexiel would be missing all of his cute outfits and Isaak wasn't too thrilled with wearing the same clothes over and over again.
Once he was certain that everything of his fledgling's was critter free Isaak sat on the bank of the stream. He dipped the younger vampire's clothing into the water and tried to clean the sand and grit out of them. They would be wet when the other put them back on but at least they should feel somewhat comfortable instead of all scratchy.

• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • Because Isaak wasn't scrambling all over him to pick off any critters, Alexiel assumed he was clean. With a reassuring glance towards his master, he waded into the shallow waters and began to bathe himself. He knew that Isaak would be wanting to clean himself, too, and he felt a little guilty that the elder vampire had to stand by and wait while he finished up.
The cold water felt good in this hot weather. He wasn't used to so much sunshine, really. In Germany, there had been many cloudy and rainy days, which were at least preferable to direct sunlight. Speaking of, even with the shade of the trees, he was starting to feel tired, too. He knew he needed to hurry up so that they could find shelter-- and fast. If he was tired, he knew that Isaak had to be. The male had been up for longer than he and had went hunting!
Speaking of, he was feeling a bit hungry again, too, but tiredness was starting to outweigh his appetite. If he ate as much icecream as he drank blood he'd be... well, he'd definitely be rounder than a pancake.
As he let the water fall down his chest and thighs, he bent over to rub his legs and make sure he was getting the sand off. It had gotten into some very uncomfortable places, and he squealed as he had to kneel down in the cold water in order to properly wash himself off. At least when he tried to sleep now, it wouldn't be so uncomfortable.
A satisfied look on his face, Alexiel finally walked out of the stream minutes later- his hair and body completely soaked, but quickly drying in the hot air. Even his clothes didn't feel as damp as they could have-- stupid things still had trouble going on, though, but the little vampire wasn't surprised. Back home he'd preferred to run around in a towel after showering as opposed to putting on clothes.
"I hope it did!" he chirped in response to the comment about their luggage. He had so many cute outfits in there, and he didn't want to be stuck in the same one. They'd spent a good deal of money on his clothes alone. Now, that wasn't to say Alexiel was a fashionist or anything of the sort. He just liked to look appropriately innocent and unfathomly adorable for Isaak.
Letting out a yawn with a little 'meow' on the end (purely unintentional), he blinked blearily at the man. He didn't even need to say the words. They needed to find somewhere to rest for the night, somewhere out of the sunlight, something more covering than the shade. And as always, Alexiel, being the scared little vampire boy he was, would find an excuse to cuddle up to Isaak. Only to be 'protected' of course.... of course.

He couldn't see anything on his glance over sort of inspection and he figured that Alexiel would squeal or something if he found anything Isaak was content enough to assume that the boy was well. And the clothing seemed to be free of vermin as well. Now if only he could get rid of all the sand and grit. The elder vampire washed out the clothing as best as he could before laying them out on the shore to try and air dry them some. He allowed for his mind to drift and not focus on the splashing of the water near him. Instead he tried to think of someone else to concentrate on but couldn't find anyone that had a strong impact on his life. Perhaps his Sire... But sadly he couldn't come across any real memories of the one that had created him. But he knew that there was one or he wouldn't be as he was. Would Alexiel start to forget about him as he aged? And how had his thoughts come to encompass the boy again?
Isaak quickly removed himself from his thoughts as he heard Alexiel squeal. "Alexiel!? Are you okay? What is wrong?" The elder vampire left his spot just a short distance away to slip into the water with Alexiel. There was worry written all over Isaak's face as he examined the boy, trying to figure out what was wrong with him. Isaak couldn't see anything. Alexiel didn't appear to be hurt. Once he had seen for himself that the other was okay he calmed down and backed off so that Alexiel could finish his bath without Isaak hovering.
Again he tried to lose himself to his thoughts, trying to respect Alexiel's privacy. He had almost succeeded when he heard Alexiel getting out of the water. He spared a glance in the boy's direction to check on him. It surprised him to actually see Alexiel pulling on his clothes. He had thought that the excuse of him not having a towel would have had the boy running around without clothes on until everything dried out. Isaak smiled softly as it seemed that Alexiel had learned at least one lesson that he had tried to instill within the boy.
"I will look when the sub goes down. If nothing can be found then we will just have to make due with what we have until we can get some more." Or until Alexiel got more actually. Isaak tended to spoil his fledgling by buying him whatever he wanted when he was a good boy. Clothes seemed to be one of the things that Alexiel enjoyed most. The boy had more outfits than Isaak ever had at that age. Or even the years surrounding that age.But then again what Isaak wore at that age was nothing at all like what Alexiel chose to wear. Isaak had to learn to use needle and thread and fix whatever holes his clothes got because more couldn't be afforded. And what more he got were roughly constructed because he made them himself.
Isaak didn't bother to move from his spot but just opened up his arms to Alexiel. "Come on, you just rest and don't worry about anything." He could tell that the young male was too tired to continue on. Isaak wasn't certain what to do about shelter but he couldn't make Alexiel walk the way that he was. The sun was draining and the child was way too young to push through it.

• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • Alexiel looked surprised (and maybe a little panicked) when Isaak started to make a fuss over him, asking him what was wrong and if he was hurt. The boy immediately felt bad. He hadn't meant to worry Isaak the way he had. The water was cold, and he was having fun in his primitive bath. Once Isaak had calmed down, Alexiel allowed his thoughts to wander again. If there was a stream, there was a lake, and if there was a lake, maybe they could go swimming. That was, if Isaak deemed it safe, and knowing his vampire master, he couldn't read his mind. It was difficult to say what the man would think of it, whereas all Alexiel could think of was that he'd be able to swim naked.
The joys of still having an immature mind; such simple things were bound to make him happy. Now that his clothes were back on and in proper place, he stood there, feeling a little dizzy. All he wanted to do was go back to sleep. He would have found a spot right there and curled up had it not been for two things: the ground was too hard, it was dirty and would get his white outfit all muddy, and the sun was out. Okay, that was three things.
As Isaak opened his arms, Alexiel felt a wave of relief surge through him. His master always seemed to know what he was thinking. Taking a few tiny steps forward, Alexiel all but collapsed into an embrace before mustering up the strength to jump into the man's arms for easier carrying. Some things that Alexiel actually liked about being a vampire was his ability to jump high and run fast, even if he hadn't quite learned how to use the abilities to their full potentials yet.
Another thing he liked about being a vampire was the fact that it had brought him into this man's arms. At the moment, this statement was quite literal. Of course, the real thing was that he enjoyed the companionship. Through all thirteen years of his life, he had never really felt a romantic inclination to anyone except Isaak. There was a deep bond there. Whenever the man said 'I love you' and tucked him in goodnight or whenever he carried him because Alexiel's new shoes were hurting his feet-- whenever he put his arms around him and told him the nightmares weren't real...
Alexiel yawned and nuzzled Isaak's chest, not noticing that they were coming up on some old, trodden down houses in the ruins. It had once been a small town- a city, but now there seemed to be no one there.

And he hadn't meant to make Alexiel feel bad. He was simply worried about the boy. He thought that he might have seen something that Isaak had missed. That was all that there really was to it. He had been pretty much day dreaming and so he thought something might have happened while he wasn't paying attention. He would have felt terrible if that had happened. His little boy getting hurt while he was sitting a short distance away. What would that say for his parenting techniques?
Though with Alexiel not in harm's way Isaak could relax again. Or at least semi relax since he made sure to be more alert even if he had allowed his mind to drift again. After all he was trying so hard not to stare at Alexiel while he washed himself. Though the continued splash of water had him wanting to glance over and make sure that it was only Alexiel and not something else. And as for the lake Isaak hadn't even considered it. He was more interested in a place to spend the day instead of somewhere to play. But then again he had a few centuries on the child and so he had more practical thoughts.
Isaak held Alexiel close to his body once the boy was in his arms. He tried to cover the other as much as he could with the jacket that he was wearing. It wasn't doing much but Isaak felt that every bit of shade that could be managed would help. Especially with how young the other was. Any bit of darkness that he could possibly provide would benefit Alexiel.
Isaak hadn't any set destination in mind, how could he when he had no idea where they were, but he was glad to see they were coming upon some shacks. They didn't look to be in the best of conditions but right now anything with four walls and a roof would do. He hurried towards the nearest one that looked like it wasn't about to collapse. Isaak figured that something better could be found after a bit of a rest. If there was anything better to be found.
Once the house was reached Isaak nudged open the door with a shoulder and nudged it closed behind him. He went directly for an inner room that didn't have any windows. He didn't care what the room should be used for but just wanted to get completely away from the sun. He had enough of that bright orb for one day. Or for the rest of eternity even. It was the most time that he had spent in the sun during the centuries that he had been living. With a yawn Isaak was carefully laying down on the hard wooden floor that was covered in dirt and dust. At the moment he couldn't care. At least not for himself. Though he had lain upon his back so that Alexiel could continue to sleep on top of him. It probably wasn't the most comfortable position for Alexiel but at least he wouldn't get dirty if he didn't wiggle around too much and Isaak hadn't seen a bed to use. Like everything else for the time being it would just have to make due.
