• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • He should have listened to his master. He should have paid closer attention while Isaak was talking. But now that he had become separated from the man- not any fault of Isaak's. Alexiel had been told to stay put in one place, but he had grown bored, again. Luckily he hadn't been caught on his previous excursion, but this time he felt completely and totally lost. He would have fallen down and started crying on the spot if he wasn't so stubborn. Not stubborn enough to not cry, but he was too stubborn and still believed that there was a chance that Isaak hadn't returned from hunting and hadn't notice the lack of his little companion.
Sun would be coming up in a few hours, and Alexiel was getting scared. Just because he hadn't seen any monsters so far on this island didn't mean there weren't any. And to the few people he had spoken to (and no doubt Isaak, too, if he'd ran into anyone), there was supposedly a witch on the island, which didn't settle well with him. Of course, when he thought aobut witches, it was mainly the "wicked witch of the west" type mentality. He thought about greenskinned women with pointy hats, broomsticks, and melting.
It would have never occurred to him that the witch on this island was a beautiful man with golden hair and a fee's appearance. Life wasn't a fairytale, and things weren't always what they seemed. He might have realized this by now, as he no longer thought of vampires as being men with long black and red capes, greased back black hair, and large oversized fangs. Not ever since he was turned-- and he certainly knew that he was not any of those things! He was cute!
And in trouble.
He was cute and in trouble, that about summed it up. And it didn't help that he could sense that Isaak was approaching. Being the man's thrall, the two shared a bond, and he knew when he was near. ..And he was definitely getting closer, more than likely following his scent. Oh this was bad, this was bad, bad, bad. Alexiel dropped to his knees and curled up in a little ball. He didn't want to get yelled at, but he deserved it. He would deserve his punishment.
For as many times as Isaak told him he could get hurt and warned him of bad thigns happening to him, Alexiel didn't believe him- or rather, he did, but it was just hard for his mind to fathom it when he had never encountered real danger. Did he believe Isaak would always be there to save him? Perhaps, and perhaps not.
No matter how innocent his intentions, he had misbehaved and put them both in danger. He had already started crying now, just thinking about how mad Isaak was going to be.

Isaak had hoped that the boy would stay in place. Especially since they were somewhere new and their surroundings were still entirely unfamiliar. There was no telling what sort of things were in the woods. No telling what harm might come if Alexiel were to leave the relative safety of the shack. That was the one thing that was checked out at least. The one thing that he knew would be safe for Alexiel to remain alone at.
Isaak was trying to find something more substantial to eat. Wildlife simply wouldn't continue to cut it. It was fine to tide them over but it wouldn't last. The rabbits were small so this time he was hoping for something with some mass to it. Something that would stave off hunger for a longer amount of time. He was hoping for a large animal since he didn't want to leave Alexiel alone for too long. He didn't want to see what was beyond the forest just yet. Not when he was uncertain what exactly was in the area surrounding their humble abode.
He had gotten lucky to find the shifter in the form of a buck. It would provide some actual nutrition for Alexiel. Isaak had been so proud of his prized find and made to hurry it back to Alexiel for the boy to fill his belly with. Perhaps after that he would be fine for a night. Maybe then he wouldn't be hungry until the next night. Of course that was a vague hope. No matter how much Alexiel the young vampire was always hungry for more.
But when he returned the house no one was there. He frowned and shook his head. He had told Alexiel not to leave. Why couldn't he listen just this once? the body was dropped on the floor and left. No doubt it would be cold by the time Alexiel ate but that was just what he deserved for running off like he did. Especially since Isaak didn't think he had taken too long.
He followed after Alexiel's scent and as he hear he could hear the crying. The first thing to cross his mind was panic, had the boy been hurt? Isaac ran, quickly closing the distance. His senses searched for anyone else in the are but came up empty. Perhaps it had been a root or something natural...
The vampire slowed to a halt when he saw Alexiel curled up on the ground. There was no blood but that didn't mean that there wasn't an injury. "Alexiel?" Concern filtered into his voice as he knelt next to the child. His anger was put on hold while he was uncertain of the state that the other was in. There was no doubt that he was still in trouble but right now Isaac wanted to make sure that he wasn't seriously hurt first.

• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • He could sense it. Isaak was getting nearer and nearer to his location. Of course, he was partially relieved because he was lost and knew he couldn't find his way back on his own. So Isaak would help take him back to safety and shelter. However, on the other hand, he also knew that Isaak was going to be really upset as soon as he calmed down from his worry.
Alexiel looked up at his vampire lord with a tear-streaked face. He seemed shaken and upset, but there were no wounds on him. He stood slowly, turning to face Isaak, though he kept his head bowed, trying to show the man that he was, indeed, very sorry for his actions. Sorry or not, fury was bound to follow.
He shuffled his feet, the pink ribbons on his white shoes swayed as he did. He could vividly recall the first time he'd gotten into trouble with Isaak. It'd been the first form of discipline he'd ever had. After nearly going off with a stranger, Isaak had rushed him home, picked him up, laid him across his knees, and Alexiel had felt the first cold, hard smack on his bottom.
He remembered how he'd cried and promised he wouldn't do again. And he hadn't... except for that one time, and the same thing had happened. It had taken twice, but he'd learned his lesson. He wasn't supposed to go off with anyone without Isaak's approval. And if that had been the case before, it certainly would be now. "I'm sorry..." he choked on the words.
He didn't want to look up and meet that disapproving stare, so he kept his eyes trained on the ground in front of him. There was no hope that Isaak would sympathize with his short attention span. And why should he? Even Alexiel knew that anything that happened now would be justified.

Seeing that Alexiel was okay he was able to calm down some. His fledgling wasn't hurt but that didn't mean that it couldn't have happened. Anything could have happened to him and Isaak wasn't ready to chance that. Isaak sighed softly. "I know you are sorry but you know you are still in trouble." Of course Alexiel knew, exactly why the boy wouldn't look up at him. He knew just what was coming and that it was deserved.
He gently grabbed Alexiel's wrist to lead him over to a fallen log. Isaak sat down and pulled the child face down across his lap. "Ich liebe dich Alexiel." He might be upset but he still felt fondly to the other. "Anything could have happened to you out here all alone. What if someone had taken you away? How do you think that would have made me feel?" He frowned and placed a hand upon the other's back to keep him in place.
He really didn't enjoy this part but it was needed. If Alexiel was to learn right from wrong then he had to do this. It pained him to see Alexiel crying and it was made even worse knowing that he had caused it. But he always made up for it afterward. He might be upset but it didn't change the way he felt for the child. He lifted his other hand and began to spank Alexiel, though he used the hand on the boy's back to rub it comfortingly. He knew that it hurt but as long as Alexiel didn't fight it then it would be over with quickly.

• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • Alexiel didn't see any point in resisting when Isaak took his hand. It would happen inevitably, and if he ran, it would only make things worse (he had found this out the hard way the first--and last-- time he'd tried). He followed Isaak glumly. At least there were some lessons he had learned, few as they may be.
The little vampire boy laid across his masters lap, trying to put on a brave face. The familiar, comforting hand on his back was a reminder that this was being done out of love, the words made him feel warm and fuzzy, but the sting that came from Isaak's palm meeting his bottom made him whimper with each strike. He could feel the tears welling in his eyes. It hurt, it really did.
But Isaak hand smoothing over his back reminded him that Isaak loved him. He just had to focus on that until the punishment was over.
When he no longer felt the palm coming down, he knew he could sit up. His eyes were red and glossy and a single tear had fallen down his cheek. He wanted Isaak to be proud of him. He had tried to hard to be strong and not cry. He twisted and looped his arms around Isaak's neck, continuing to make his small whimpering noises. Maybe somehow subconciously, he was trying to make Isaak feel sorry for him even though he was the one who had disobeyed.
"I'm sorry, Isaak..." he spoke softly and pulled back to look the man in the eyes with the cutest pout he could muster. Yes, he had taken his punishment just like he was supposed to, and now he wanted his compensation. Believe it or not, he didn't get in trouble on purpose, though he always enjoyed the attention that was brought afterwards (then again, all he had to do was be cute in the first place to get attention.)
"I wouldn't leave you! I didnt mean to go out and get lost. I'll listen next time." Alexiel may or may not be telling the truth, but he wasn't conciously lying if he ended up wandering off again. He would try his best, as he always did. "Ich liebe dich, auch, Isaak."

Yes, at least Alexiel had learned that one lesson. Isaak really didn't want this to be any harder than it had to be. So he was glad that there wasn't a fight. It meant that he could get this over with quickly and be done with it. That way they could be past it and move on. He would just hope that Alexiel would have learned his lesson and not end up running off again. Especially not where there was only cold food to return to.
When Alexiel sat up he used his thumb to clear away the tear. Isaak smiled and leaned in to kiss the tip of the boy's nose, trying to be sweet and silly all at the same time. Even though he had to discipline the child he still cared a great deal for him. He wanted to show that it was the action that he was upset with and not Alexiel himself. In his mind Alexiel would always be a good boy that occasionally did bad things. But at least they weren't too bad that they couldn't be forgiven. Not that Isaak imagined that Alexiel could ever reach that point.
Arms wrapped around the small boy to hold him close and cuddle him. There was no way that he could stay upset with a cute face like that staring up at him. He played gently with Alexiel's hair as he held the boy close to him. "I brought back dinner but it is probably cold by now." He spoke the words quietly. "I don't know if I will be able to find something else so quickly." He really didn't want to give Alexiel cold food but he didn't want him to go hungry either.
Isaak shifted so that he could look the child in the face. "Do you think you can walk so that we can head back? Or would you rather be carried?" Their might not be much but at least it was shelter. It was some place to return to that was away from prying eyes. A place where they could have a bit of privacy. And most of all it protected them from any sort of outside weather. And mostly Isaak wanted to be inside before the sun came.

• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • It had worked. Just like he knew it would (or rather, hoped?) Isaak was petting him, coddling him, holding him and letting him know that it was going to be okay. Perhaps this was why Alexiel behaved the way he did. He was terribly spoiled by his master, even after being scolded. Of course, it wasn't that Alexiel was intentionally misbehaving. If he were, the punishment would have been stricter and he knew that Isaak wouldn't be as quick to forgive him.
And really, all he wished for was Isaak's approval. He'd realized at some point earlier in the year that he had a crush on Isaak. The other was tall, strong, and really good looking. Alexiel couldn't help to be attracted to him: he took care of him and was kind to him. Alexiel had had friends as a human, yes, friends his age, but he hadn't had a crush- not until now, at least.
But would Isaak accept him? He knew that though he was technically older than he looked, he didn't act it- nor did he even make an effort to act it. Perhaps his mental aging would be slower simply because he would be treated like a child longer. But when would it stop? When would he want to grow up? Was that now when he wanted Isaak to see him as something more than a child? Wanted his master to gaze upon him with a different look?
Alexiel snuggled up to his neck and the thought before shutting his eyes tightly, moreso from shyness than anything else. "I want you to carry me..." he murmered. He liked be spoiled. And if he was going to have to eat cold food, he wanted to get the best treatment on the way there. It occurred to him that if he had just stayed put, he would have had a nice, fresh meal. ... He didn't like cold blood. It was like eating cold maceroni and cheese. Blegh.
Speaking of, Alexiel missed eating food for taste. He had with Isaak (they'd had to keep up appearances, right?), but there was next to nothing on this island. And he wanted ice cream...

It was entirely easy for Alexiel to manipulate him. The kid was entirely too cute. He could easily manipulate anyone. Most especially Isaak since Isaak cared so much for him. Perhaps too much sometimes. Which was why he had to analyze just how he held Alexiel and how it would look to others. Which was also why Alexiel kept his clothes on during punishment time instead of the bare bottomed spankings that Isaak used to receive. Oh yes, Isaak's Sire used to have to punish him as well.
He had kissed Alexiel's nose when he really wanted to kiss the boy's lips. If only he were hundreds of years younger... But no, he quickly pushed those thoughts aside. Even though it was typical for a sire and fledgling to have a physical relationship Isaak was trying not to push that on Alexiel. The child saw him as an older brother type figure. And well, older brothers don't hit on their younger brothers. There was some sort of code against it or something.
He closed his eyes as Alexiel snuggled into him, fighting to keep his mind in neutral territory. Certainly the child didn't mean anything by it. No, he was just being a child and getting comfortable. Nothing more that that. When had he become a pedophile anyways? He pushed the thoughts away again and stood up with Alexiel in his arms.
"When we get back I want you to eat then get ready for bed. It will be sun up soon." He spoke the words as he headed back to the shack. He kept Alexiel held tightly to his chest. He was waiting for the other to complain about having to go to bed early. But well, Isaak was exhausted. Perhaps not physically so much as emotionally. All manner of scenarios had run through his head when he had found his fledgling missing.

• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • As always, Alexiel was only half listening to Isaak as he was carried. He couldn't guess the thoughts running through the other's head. He could only work with what he was given. And right now, he was being carried back to the small, run down shack they'd made a temporary home in. "Okayyy..." He responded, though he didn't sound interested in what Isaak had to say particularly.
Alexiel wasn't one to sleep easy when daylight wasn't visible. As long as he was kept in the dark, he was a bundle of boundless energy. Which may not serve Isaak well for the night. Upon seeing the corpse, Alexiel all but lept from Isaak's arms, only to land on his feet, fall forward onto his palms, grab the girl's wrist and bite in. He sputtered and pulled back, licking his bloodied lips before looking up at Isaak with a pout.
Obviously, he did not like this cold food, but he reluctantly went back to it. It was this or nothing. Isaak didn't have time to go hunting again, and he knew this was his punishment, he deserved it. If he had been around when Isaak had returned, he would have gotten a warm, tasty treat.
After he had nearly drained the girl, he pulled away, wiped at his mouth with his hands and hopped up. "Ne, ne. Issak, you're going to sleep with me tonight, right?" Alexiel hadn't been letting Isaak even think about sleeping alone in the run-down shack since arriving on this island. Alexiel was naturally scared to be alone, especially in a place so creepy, so he wanted his master there right by his side.
Of course, that was made slightly awkward by the fact that Alexiel stripped down to his undergarments in order to sleep. Which is what he was doing now. He was taking off his cute clothes to set them on a chair near the bed. Kicking off the impracticle shoes and untying the decorative crown from his hair. Once he was just down to his boxer-briefs, he ran forward to cling around Isaak's waist. "Please please pleaseee!"

He chuckled quietly as Alexiel leaped from his arms at the sight of food. It was cute just how excited that the boy could still get. You would think that he would be used to having food brought to him but Alexiel still showed an air of eagerness every time a saw a body. It was rather cute in a morbid sort of way. After all it was death that the child was excited about. Of course he doubted that Alexiel saw it that way. No doubt he thought of the bodies as candy, or some other favored food or edible item.
He frowned a bit and gave Alexiel an apologetic look at the pout. He had warned him that it would be cold food. Had told him that he didn't have time to go out again. And who was to say that Alexiel would even stay in place. For all Isaak knew he could go out and try again but then there would be two cold bodies to look forward to because the child would have gone out once more and Isaak would have to hunt him down again. The young vampire would just have to deal with this. Maybe it would also serve as a reminder for next time. Maybe next time he won't run off while Isaak is out hunting because of this. Maybe one cold meal will curb that.
"You haven't grown tired of sleeping with me yet? I thought you might start to want the bed for yourself." And well it was growing difficult for Isaak. The child got practically naked and wiggled around until he was comfortable and well, that made Isaak uncomfortable. He had a growing fondness for the child. One that he shouldn't have for a boy Alexiel's age. "If you really don't feel like you will be able to sleep alone then I will sleep with you." Of course Alexiel should realize that Isaak would give into his wishes and pleading. How could he turn down this boy clinging to him? Of course he was trying not to concentrate on that right now. Especially since it would lead to an awkward moment that the older vampire wouldn't want to try to explain. How would anyone be able to explain a sudden hardness in the pants? Which was why he was trying to keep a little space between their bodies right now.

• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • "But I like sleeping with you...." Throughout the year they'd spent together, Alexiel had made all sorts of excuses to sleep in Isaak's arms. From being afraid of the dark, hearing creaking in the houses, or even just scared of being alone. Not that those weren't true, but the blonde boy was anything but weak-willed. He was terribly persistant when he wanted something, and yet he was rarely direct, so if Isaak was seeing mixed signals, it wouldn't be a real surprise.
And the more Isaak tried to pull away, the more Alexiel tried to cling to him. This had happened before- with Alexiel refusing to let go. Each time it had ended in tickle wars or something just as cheesy, which is why Alexiel liked to do it on occassion. He loved to see Isaak smile, loved to know that he made the man proud on a daily basis. He was a good vampire, even if he didn't always listen.
He was a walking bundle of contradiction, innocent yet still aware, always doomed to appear as a child on the outside no matter how old his soul grey, he had a good heart yet he could be a cold-blooded killer. Sometimes, it was better to not associate with people he could think of as food. He'd just end up hurting them which would lead to him being hurt. Humans and other non-vampires were FOOD, and he was always taught to not play with his food.
But again, Alexiel didn't always listen to what he was told.
He nuzzled Isaak's stomach before looking up at the man with an unfamiliar look. Cheeks slightly flushed as if he were blushing, lips slightly parted. He stood up on his tip-toes yet still couldn't reach Isaak's shoulders. "Ne, Isaak. ... I want to know what a real kiss feels like," yes, Alexiel wasn't known for always carrying on a straight conversation without changing the subject.

"You do?" He had thought that Alexiel might be growing out of it but that didn't seem to be happening. Most children this age didn't seem to want a parent around them and yet the boy continued to cling to him still. He had to wonder if it was because he was a young vampire and that was just the instincts there. Or was there something else to it? He knew a bit about the boy's past and wondered if that had something to do with it. Isaak offered him a bit of stability. As well as spoiling him which Alexiel had never had before. It could even be a mix of things.
Isaak shifted uncomfortably as he was pressed against. Oh the thoughts that ran through his head. If only the child realized what he put Isaak through then maybe he wouldn't want to cling to him as much as he did. Because the thoughts he was having certainly weren't proper. Despite the ease and eagerness that the child killed with Isaak still saw him as entirely innocent. And well, his thoughts were anything but innocent.
Isaak had to concentrate hard on not make a sound as his stomach was nuzzled. It the boy just dipped his head lower then.... No! Isaak forcefully shoved away the thoughts. But then Alexiel's words weren't helping any. Or maybe he was just hearing what he wanted to hear? "What are you talking about Alexiel?" Without really thinking about it he made to grab Alexiel's hips so that he could lift him up to be eye level. He had seen him struggling and had thought nothing of picking him up.

• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • Alexiel gasped as he was picked up by the vampire. He was happy that he hadn't seemed to bother Isaak so far. In fact, the other had only asked him to clarify his question, which wasn't a rejection in the half-naked boy's eyes. His tummy filled with butterflies as he thought about it. He wondered if their first kiss would be magical like in all of those old Disney movies. It had to be, didn't it? Because Alexiel was positively and utterly head over heels for his master. And he had to have an happy end- if it could be called that. They weren't exactly dying any time soon.
"I want... you to kiss me" Alexiel clarified, having gained the courage to finally ask. His cheeks were flushed rosy pink which would be easy to see, given that their eyesight was impecible in the dark and that it was light that hurt their eyes. He clung to Isaak so that even if the other tried to pull him off or let go, he'd be still firmly latched on. But that was just how Alexiel was. When he wanted something, he went after it full force. And he wanted Isaak.
He had always wanted Isaak to notice him, to pay attention to him. It wasn't a terrible request, was it? His master spoiled him, but he also treated him like a child which wasn't what Alexiel wanted (didn't mean he didn't enjoy the affection, though). No, he wanted something more in addition to that. He wanted to blur the line between thrall and master, he wanted to be WITH Isaak in another way, an even more emotionally connected way. In some ways it could almost be seen as sad, because would Isaak ever be able to see he was growing up no matter how much he still acted like a child? Would he be able to see that Alexiel wasn't completely oblivoius to the fact most people dated, grew up, got married...
Not that Alexiel would have gotten married- gay marriage was legal, and the boy was as flaming as they got. He'd kissed a boy's cheek under a slide when he was 5. And he'd held hands with another when he was 9. It was 'weird' to the other kids, but Alexiel didn't care. he always liked who he was going to like. And he liked Isaak.
