Ever since October was a child, around the age of five, her brother had taken care of her. He was only ten, while October was five and their parents had abandoned them on the streets of Korea. August, October's brother, had to grow up quickly, by the time he was fifteen he had taken on the role of older brother, father, mother, and best friend to his ten year old sister. Neither one of them had anyone but the other. August had to try to lead his sister in the right direction while trying to run his life the best he could.
The older October became the more confused she was. She didn't know how to act around August, she wasn't sure loving him was the right thing to do but she couldn't help it. She loved her brother, and she would give anything in the world to be by his side at all times. That wasn't the case. August tried getting work (anything you wish) while she had to sit in a safe place and wait for him to come back. This went on for several years, but as October became sixteen she didn't just want to sit around anymore, and one day her brother never cam back for her.
October was devastated, but she didn't want to wait there. Slowly she felt a grudge to her brother growing because she felt he had abandoned her like their parent's had. Of course he did come back, by then she was gone and he had worse feelings of guilt and abandon and a grudge towards her. Of course, October was sweet and naive, her feelings were soon thrown away as she remembered the love she had for the boy who had taken care of, and no matter how illegal that probably was she didn't care.
The sad thing is her brother doesn't have the same feelings as she does for him. He loves her, but only because she is his sister, otherwise he couldn't care less.
Also, if the brother is taken there is another that can be taken... I would really like it if October had a lover, someone that eventually she may fall in love with. It would be quite entertaining, because I see this potential lover to test her naivete and see how far it goes before she crumbles. Of course, he wouldn't do anything to hurt her, possibly. Whether he falls for her is all up to you as well, either way it would be nice if she had a lover. Not someone that she knew previous.
I'd prefer him to be American (there's a lot of Asians already on here - not to be racist or anything, seeing as how I have several Asian characters as well). I'm hoping he'd be sweet (possibly only to her - she could be his sweet spot) but a little controlling as to test the naivete (though to test that you don't have to be too controlling. He'd never abuse her or hurt her feelings on purpose.
