HELLO MY NAME IS EVANGELINE WILLOWS AND I AM SEVENTEEN YEARS OLD. I'M AN EXPERIMENT AND RANK AS NOTHING AND I WAS BORN ON DECEMBER 24th IN THE VATICAN CITY. MY NATIONALITY IS ITALIAN. PEOPLE SAY I LOOK LIKE NADIA ESRA. THEY ALSO SAY THAT I AM NAIVE, QUIRKY, WILD, INNOCENT, FREE-WILLED, FUN LOVING, RECKLESS, CURIOUS, ADVENTURER, COURAGEOUS, REBELLIOUS, KIND, CHEERFUL, STRANGE, OBSERVATIONAL. TO BE HONEST, I'M BEING PLAYED BY karma!CODEWORD: IVORY
HISTORY:
Vatican City. Home of the Holy See, and considered the holiest place in the world. What could go wrong here, at the epicenter of the Catholic Church?
Amongst and around the beautiful cathedrals of gold and alabaster paint resides houses and stores, just the essentials, much like a small town. There are very little people other than the popes and the clergymen, and even then they are usually associated with the church, most of them men. There, in the holy city, sits Evangeline Willows, a rarity in her own right; with her lithe, thin body and the plae fire of her orange hair. A beauty, a goddess among men, they thought.
Of course, the girl stuck out like a sore thumb, and her curious and eccentric personality didn't help. She enchanted the everyday visitors to the place, finding it strange that such a girl would pick her permanent residence in a place as restricting as the city. But she constantly found things that caught her eye, be it art or people, and she never found herself bored. Her father, a clergyman, didn't entirely like her strange personality, as much as he adored his daughter, but chose to ignore it. He feared that it would attract too much attention. He didn't know how right he was.
When she was seventeen, she found herself in the eye of one particular person, a man in a white coat. Being her carefree self, she didn't think anything of him as he popped out of nowhere and began talking to her. Just hours later, she found herself in a bag, in a room with bright white lights and silver knifes. That was where she blacked out.
She awoke, with little memory at all, on the sandy beaches of the island. Attached to her back were leathery wings, black as night w. With the wings of a bat, she looked like the devil - the girl knew that she wouldn't be accepted back into her holy communtiy with open arms. But she didn't care. While most people would find themselves in fear, but Evangeline made the bets of it - this new place fascinated her. To Evangeline, it was paradise.
BENEFITS & LOSSES
The choice of animal was simple; Evangeline was one of the scientist's first ventures into the world of flying experiments and not having tested on any other type of animal, they decided to stick with mammals, given the disastrous effects that had gone on with previous failures involving birds. Of course, wanting interesting results and not caring for the girl's well-being and going with a larger specimen, they went with the Vampire Bat. To their suprise, she was a success; Or, as much as she could have been, giving their previous experiences with the experiments. She was found to have *severe nerve damage, and could feel enither pleasure nor pain. The adventurous girl, with her blind sense of recklessness, had no qualms with this and doesn't realize the danger this comes with.
Evangeline's inner clock has been reset by the experiment, and it is rare for her to be awake during the day, though she occasionaly will linger for a bit in the morning even if she's nto supposed to. She is content with seeping upside-down, but usually won't. As a side-affect to this schedule, light does tend to hurt her eyes, and her vision isn't the greatest: For one, she is color-blind, even in the dark, and in the day, her vision barely exists at all. Luckily, she can click her tongue to use echolocation, which is vastly better than vision could ever grace her; in a way, she sees in sound waves. As it grew in proportion to her size, it can be used as a weapon, though arguably not a competent one. Particularly loud clicks can be used to knock people back and give them extreme migraines or concussions, possibly even cause eternal bleeding. Unfortunately, this does take alot of energy out of her and she is exhausted after doing it.
Her animal traits would include her short, thin tail and cat-like ears jutting out of the top of her head. Her hearing is wonderful, to the point where if she hears a human voice she can create a mental shape of everything around her. Her mouth also has four large, thin and sharp teeth where her canines would usually go, her fangs; Luckily, the scientists have found a way to wean her off of blood and mainly stick to fruits, from a fruit-bat shifter's DNA, though she definately doesn't mind a bit of blood even if she isn't allowed to have it. As all vampire bats have, her saliva contains a substance called draculin - a powerful anticoagulant that could be used to keep a person's blood from clotting, and maybe even make them bleed to death if she kept it going. She has a very highly developed sense of smell, and has to channel her echolocation through it so the two senses are very connected. Finally, we can't forget her wings; Two, huge ebony wings, perfect for flying. In short, Evangeline was a success.

*Another problem presented by her lack of nerves is her brittle bones, being how skinny and thin they must be, and she would never know if she broke them.
