No one came here, especially not at night. No one, that was, except Leythal (better known to his siblings as Sariel.) The siblings had been allowed to venture up to the surface, so long as they didn't draw much attention. As per the scientists' rules, unless it was absolutely necessary, they were not to show their true forms.
Leythal missed his four tiered wings, spread proudly against the billowing winds. But he didn't wish to get sent back to Heaven while his siblings were still here. Nor did he desire punishment by dark magic in any form. How the scientists would be capable of it, he didn't know, but they had said they had access to it and would use it against a disobedient virtue.
The boy worried for his younger sister Simiel. The girl was sweet, but she was impulsive. And then there was Raphael, a girl with the sweetest heart yet not the best judgment. Likely she would blow their cover if she thought it was for the greater good (whether it was or wasn't).
Gabriel was a hot-head, too, and if he got into a fight with someone, who knew if he'd shed his homunculi form in favor of his angele self. Uriel he only had to worry about should she find a daimon she favored. But he and Uriel didn't get along the greatest. Not enemies, but not friends exactly, they were from different belief spectrums.
Though sometimes he wondered if he was the only competent one of the seven of them. No one else seemed to show good judgment. One of the others was likely to get them tortured- he would say killed, but since he nor the others could really die, it would be a dead end train of thought.
Taking a deep breath of the sea air, Leythal stood up on the rock, just keeping his balance. Even without his wings he looked very much like an angel then. His white robes blew in the wind, the material so light it gave an ethereal feel to the picture he was creating- his white form illuminated by the pale moon bright against the black night sky canvas. It was as if he would fly away at any moment up into the heavens.
He was so lost in his thoughts that he didn't notice anyone approaching.

Gabriel had noticed immediately when his brother had gone missing. Perhaps it was paranoia that brought him outside of the lab to look for Sariel, but he did not trust the scientists and had been too worried to allow himself sleep. How could he possibly rest when he wasn't sure as to the whereabouts or condition of his sibling (any of the siblings at that)?
The night air was cold, bitterly so, and the curly haired angele felt it more acutely now in this weak human form, but he ignored it, putting mind over matter untill he could be certain that Leythal was alright.
He had trouble remember his human name, it felt foreign and distant. Not attached to him, to who he was. In fact he had trouble remembering to call his siblings by their new names when they were together.
But he was one of the harder ones to deal with, so the scientists hadn't given him as much free reign as they had the others. It was much more likely that he would do something to draw people's attention to them than many of the other Angele.
Still they were only human, and they would find it impossible to completely control him. Even if they liked to wave that threat of dark magic around, Gabriel found it hard to feel intimidated. Gabriel who had slain countless enemies in the name of Virtue, who had banished demons to the innermost regions of hell and could summon an army of winged seraphim with a simple will. No...he wasn't that intimidated.
The Angele spied his brother on the rocks, relief flooding through him and a sigh passing through his lips. Sariel had always been a beautiful soul, and in this form Gabriel could definitely appreciate him, as wrong as that was.
"Don't fall..." He murmured, striding up behind the smaller figure and crossing well muscled arms in front of his chest.

They weren't around any mortals, there was no need to think of each other in the form of disguises. He turned slowly on the rocks to gaze at the elder angel. Funny how they ranked themselves according to age when, in reality, they were all the same.
Concepts of time didn't exist in their world, and though they were called siblings, they didn't share anything of the sort in common. They were spirits. They didn't have parents.
"But you'd be there to catch me if I did," Sariel pointed out, a small smile on his face. He was at peace with the world, not in one of his 'moods'. There was no one around to anger or upset him, no one prodding him until his snapped and went on a tyrade. Really, Sariel was a peaceful angel until agitated.
He took a few steps towards Gabriel before pausing and looking up at the sky. "It's beautiful here in the mortal world, isn't it? I didn't think it would be so breathtaking," he seemed fascinated, like a young child that had just gone to an amusement park for the first time. It was a similar experience for him. He wanted to see all of the sites, take it all in, but the scientists had forbidden it for the most part. They were supposed to be as inconspicuous as possible.
How was that possible, exactly, in Sariel's opinion? They were angels, they weren't really the humans they pretended to be. This was like an outfit to him, this body, rather than something he cared about perserving. It hadn't even been a real human's body. It was fake, synthetic.
Raphael didn't seem to like it all that much, but then again, she didn't like the scientists either. Sariel couldn't blame her. Some of them were highly annoying and disrespectful. If there was one thing that Sariel hated, it was disrespect. He was an angele, afterall, not a human, not an i/s nor shifter nor vampire. He was more powerful than them, he was immortal, and he did not deserve to be treated as if he were even less than them.
"This beach... not many come to it. I think I may start," just so he could get away from it all, just so he could be alone. But if that were the case, why had he told Gabriel? He had no doubt the other would now know where to find him. Was it that he wanted to be found? Did some part of him secretly desire not be left alone?
He didn't know.

"It's not all like this..." Gabriel murmured, moving forward so he was now standing next to the smaller figure on the rock, "But this is beautiful." The moon's glow gently blanketed the beach, glinting against the wet sand and it's reflection mirrored in the dark sea. The steady crash of waves apon the shore like a soft descant in the background.
"A change of scenery from the lab at least, just be careful you know I have the tendency to worry over you...all of you really." It was fairly obvious to all how much Gabriel disliked the scientists, how he distrusted them. He would keep his siblings safe from any and all danger, no matter what. He turned his green eyes toward his brother, a smile forming on his lips. In the moonlight Sariel almost looked like he was in his true form again, just without his wings. Gabriel reached out to press two fingers against his shoulderblades.
"It's odd seeing you without them." He murmured.

He knew very well that some of the earth was ugly, not only the land but the people in it. Actually, it was always the mortals' fault that their world was rotting. If they hadn't been so quick to give into sin, perhaps they would have a beautiful world like the one the angele came from.
Sighing deeply, Sariel shook his head. "Yes, but it's best to find one landscape that is pleasing to the eye and recognize it than it is to dwell on the hundreds that aren't." he smiled back to his brother, though the smile quickly faded and was replaced by a mildly surprised expression when he felt the fingertips against his shoulder blades.
This human body-- homunculi the scientists had said-- it didn't react differently, perse, than his angele form would have, but he found the spot was sensitive to the touch, most likely it would be like that on all of them, for that was where their wings should be, only hidden by that mask.
He took his brother's hand in his as he turned, slowly, to face the other. "As it is you." he spoke in Hebrew, preferring not to use English unless he had to. "... But you're still Gabriel." he said with a soft laugh.
