The large black and white head cut through the waves with the
ease of years of practice. Those large dark eyes looking for any
signs of his brother. Arran had had a trip not so long ago, but
Rian had yet to hear from him since and it had worried him. So
now here he was where the ship was supposed to have been
looking for any signs. He was hoping that Arran had just taken a
little "vacation" on the spur of the moment, he hoped.
Soon he spotted an island not to far off and it was as good as
place as any to check out. Rian swam out easily until his hooves
finally hit sand. He walked out of the water, flipping his head to
try to get his mane and forelock out of his face and eyes. The
annoying sand sticking to his feathers around his hooves as he
made his way to wards the cover of the trees.
He had to change if he was going to look for Arran, most didn't
understand a horse's neigh. He pulled the crude bag that had
been attached high on his back off with his teeth before going
through that transformation from horse to man. He quickly pulled
out the clothing he had stashed in the bag for just such an
occasion as this because Rian would not wish to meet others
without them.
Rian picked the bag back up as he headed back out onto the
open beach. His eyes searching for any clues as he made his way
slowly down the beach's length.

(Just so you know Rian knows about Lani and that Cai has been traveling with him. He met Lani once at Lana's birthday party and so he knows of Cai's unspoken affection for the incubus. Oh, and Lana is fond of Lani and calls him Uncle Lani.)
Cai moved along the beach in a topless and barefoot manner. He was soaking up the sun of the day. He pulled his phone from his pocket and found that no signal was available. This was really starting to get annoying. This is the longest that he had ever been without speaking to his family. And this time he actually had news to share. While he might not have a prospect on that family that he had bragged he would get first in his younger years he did have an actual relationship. While the person it was with wouldn't come as too much of a surprise, except that said person had finally decided to settle down and be with only one person.
Lani, whom Cai had already devoted his time and attention to for the years that they have been traveling together, finally decided to try a monogamous relationship with Cai. Whether it was because they hadn't run into many others on this island or because Cai was finally ready to call it quits and end the friends with benefits relationship was uncertain. But either way they were finally together as a couple. But now Cai had no way to share his news. He couldn't tell his family that he finally had someone willing to love him even though children and a family would never come of it. Still, that was a sacrifice that Cai was willing to make to be able to keep Lani.
The kelpie sighed and placed his phone back into his pocket. Bare toes dug into the sand as he stared out towards sea. There wasn't the single sign of a ship out there anywhere. It would just be more bad news to bring back to Lani. The incubus was ready to leave this island while the kelpie found it to be paradise. Cai had everything that he needed here. He enjoyed the waterfall, it provided water, food, a place to sleep, and where Lani had decided to be an actual couple. There wasn't much more that Cai could ask for. Except for contact with family maybe.
But that seemed to be solved when a familiar profile came into sight. Not even questioning why his brother was here. Or how he got here even. Cai took off down the beach with the intention of wrapping his arms around his brother in a hug. "Rian! How is everyone? Is the family well? What about little Rosalie? Has she gotten bigger? I'm sure she has. I swear that will have a coat just like yours." He smiled and took a step back to give the other his space again.

"Arran," was all he was able to get in when his younger brother
embrace him and then hit him with so many questions all at once.
Well, at least that meant his brother was good and well which
was something that they had all worried about back home. It
was something odd that Arran would just seem to disappear
without a trace.
He gave a short laugh, "Everyone is fine, calm down. You were
the one that seemed to disappear you know." It was true and it
was the reason he was here now, wherever here was. "I was
told by a certain young lady that she wanted her Uncle Arran and
Lani back before I was allowed to come back," he told his
younger brother with a look. He still couldn't believe his little girl
had told him that, she was growing up much to fast.
"Rosalie," he paused with a smile, "She can only grow so fast
Arran. Please don't rush that along, its already much to fast as it
is." He shifted the bag from his one hand to his other, the thing
wasn't really made to be carried this way but his brother was
more important than some minor discomfort. Rise Up, Gather Round
