→ One civilization, one goddess. Two separate things that should never collide. ←
→ A massive wave rose to the heavens in anger, turning the continents to rubble as a new space of land dominated the waters. Metrolyn was born, a bustling Victorian city inhabited by those of the old country. The city had been revitalized by the humans as they continued to repopulate, and nobody asked why the ancient city had emerged in the first place. All the humans cared about was living. Their survival instincts had kicked in, and in the end the human race was stabilized. ←
→ Though for the humans, having their lifestyle back is not enough. An odd, mysterious island rose upon the horizon through the fog, calling to sailors like a siren's song. The sailors found themselves traveling toward it constantly, though they either got turned back around to Metrolyn or were never heard from again. They devised a way to get to the island, the lure of the land too great for them to ignore. The power they found within the island was sought after, the humans turning into greedy savages to obtain it. To obtain her and the ominous power they could feel vibrating from her aura. When they took her back to Metrolyn, however, the goddess broke free, and plagued the lands with supernatural beings that tore up the city and its inhabitants. The humans were smart, and adapted quickly. Only to have the she-god create more unnatural beings to try and wipe out the human race. However, her plot was in vain as her creations began to adapt as well, growing into their own civilizations. ←
→ Even though the goddess went back to the island, the balance was not restored. The humans constantly hunted down the beasts, capturing them for their own uses or killing them through their own prejudice. Nothing will remain the same upon the lands Metrolyn resides, the land the humans have dubbed Belle-Noir. The supernaturals have grown weary and angered by the actions the humans have taken to. They are tired of not being accepted or accepted in the worst ways possible. Yet, are they really sick of it to the point of doing something about it?Belle-Noir
