David woke up at his desk once more, this week. As his head rose from the oak wood desk a few of the reports lifted with his head. "Great, what time is it?" He asked himself as he looked at the giant clock above his desk. His hazel orbs flickered in slight pain as the red numbers flickered in front of him. All he could do was shake his head in pure disgust. David slowly stood his arms rising above his head as he stretched. Looking over to his phone, he spotted the flashing red light.
The loyal doctor sighed heavily as he reached for the phone, pressing a series of buttons, he listen to what the machine had to tell him. He was hoping it was good news. He knew that his few successes paled in comparison to his failures as of late. "Doctor Jenkins I am leaving you this message to inform you that we have Lilith. So, everything is looking good. " David looked at the phone, he had no clue who the voice belong to nor did he care.
Pressing the next button he listen to a few more messages. They all tend to be on the lines of things he were to do today, but did not get to. One of the messages mentioned a chart he was to create about the failures and successes he had for his time there. It was funny, because the very list was stuck to his forehead a few moments ago. Leaning to the other side of his desk he retrieved the list. So far he only had a few experiments on it.
He had a total of thirteen cases last week and a little more than half of them were successes. The rest were failures. "Shit, this is not going to look good." He said as a little smile grew on his face. Speaking of his face David immediately remembered that he had just woke, that it was 3 A.M. and he had needed to wash his face. Walking away from his desk he meets a little sink that had a blue-grey face towel hanging on it, as the water came on he let it warm up, before placing the towel into the water and quickly scrubbing his face.
The tired Doctor scrubbed as the water shut it self off. Patting his face he headed for his door. Wonder whom is all here. he thought. As the door began to open he turned around. He was forgetting something. He did not recall what, but he knew that something was missing. Then it hit him. He was leaving his water. If he was going to do work at this time, he needed his water.
With little to no effort, he left the door way, heading back towards a mini fridge in his office. Once there he opened it, his water was not in sight. Did he drink it already or leave it in a testing room. He was not sure. Reaching in he grabbed a bottle of Mocha Ice Coffee.

3am was an ungodly hour for any person whether they believed in a God or not. Esther had been asleep when the news came in through the grapevine.
"Lilith..." She mumbled to herself, getting out of bed and not really caring to do much else but throw her lab coat over the black cami and bright pink and purple striped pants that made up her pajamas, high-tops the only thing the young scientist put effort into putting on. She couldn't sleep, despite the fact that she'd just gotten to sleep no less than four hours ago because of one of the latest in a string of fail experiments that ended up on her table. The numbers kept growing, the work almost too much for her, and the few assistants she trusted to do the work, could handle. It was frustrating because nothing was worse than the back and forth between a dead body and paperwork. At least the body has some interesting bits and pieces since they were being messed with.
"Now if only Jenkins would make the paperwork more like those pets of his that end up on my table." Esther spoke out loud mainly to herself as she walked the empty halls.
The whole situation with Lilith had her awake now. Excitement ran through her like a palpable jolt of electricity. What was the witch like? What did he look like? Would she get to see him, speak with him? Even without having to go hunt down her own stash of chocolate milk that Mudo had given her she was buzzed on the high of accomplishing something so amazing. Part of her feared in the back of her head though that they'd do to him like they had done the others, and that the only way she would meet him would be on her cold slab in the autopsy room. The thought made her shudder as she stopped walking for a moment, out of the living quarters and now lingering in the main hall of the labs and offices.
Esther wondered if Amelia would be here? Would any of the other be as well? What would happening now that Lilith was caught? A small yawn escaped her lips as she kept wandering down the hall before hearing movement from Jenkins office, looking at the door she moved closer before opening it further sticking her head in. The girl really didn't have to much concern for knocking and such. With all the things she'd picked apart biologically speaking she had little to be surprised about walking in on. Still it was a mundane scene before her, "What is it with you guys and coffee...it's not like it tastes any good." She said, with little greeting as she made a face at his drink of choice, "I can't believe you're still awake and working."

David jumped a little on hearing the voice of Esther. He was not aware that others where up. Turning to face he he smiled. His thin lips parting ways as he spoke to the lady. "I am always up this late. Besides I heard I... We, had Lilith can't wait to meet him." He said. His hazel orbs getting an evil glare to him as he smirked joyfully. Hearing her talk bad about the coffee, he turned towards the little fridge, his shoulders facing her and the fridge. "Do you want one?" He asked rhetorically. He figured she would say no, but why not ask.
"No, actually I had water earlier, but I seemed to have missed placed it." David knew that he did not have to answer the question, but she was a nice person, so why not be nice back. Not knowing if she wanted to coming in, he offered anyway. "Please, come in will you." The tone of his voice gave off the slight frustration. It was personal space and she had a knack for invading it. David walked over to a spar chair and picked it up moving the object over by his desk, for Esther.
Sitting he began to speak on her line of work, the morgue. "So, how was the day in the office." He really was not into the whole waiting , so he continued. "Whatever you did down in the ice box had to be gruesome you are also up past three after all." He finished. The English Doctor said as he took went to take a sip from his coffee. It was truly to early for him, because as he put the bottle to his lips he realized that the lid was still on it. With a chuckle he removed it and then continued to drink.
"It truly is to early for this job." He added as he placed the drink on the desk and began to remove the paper work. He did not want people knowing why he was failing, at the moment he did not know why most of the human... test subjects were dying. All he could think of now was tampering with the male witch Lilith. If the rumors on his powers were true then he would have a blast altering his body for the love of science. That and that brat got on his nerves.
He had only seen the boy once, but he was not permitted to talk to him, personally. So, hopefully this time would be different. Hopefully, he would be able to add things and take them away. Mainly his powers, David knew a few other people on his list of things whom could use something special like that. Only thing about that is he was not sure if Lilith would survive the experiment.
David had began to fantasize about Lilith, that he was not paying his desk any attention. He was done cleaning it, but now he was wondering where did the chart go, with his next clientele.

"No thanks...I'm awake and putting that nasty stuff in my body will only help me crash faster." Esther made a face, her nose scrunching up as her tongue wagged a little in exaggerated disgust. When the chocolate milk in the fridge ran out she'd deal with the black liquid that many around her seemed to worship. Though once she go through with it the drink was more milk and sugar than coffee. Her thoughts of coffee were soon forgotten though she thought of what he'd said before about Lilith. Suddenly a childish grin came to her lips.
"Isn't it wonderful. Having him will help our work so much! Think of how many people would could help when we study him?" She stepped further in before she was given permission to enter. Esther knew little of personal space because having been the youngest of several children in her family she had so little of it herself. It almost go lonely at night not sharing a room. She happily climbed up into the chair, running a hand through the wild mass of auburn waves. She eyed the papers that he began to shuffle, her own fingers moving to leaf through what was closest to her out of sheer curiosity.
"Oh I was asleep a few hours ago, but I got woken up. Do you really think Mudo would let me dress like this in his lab?" she motioned to her outfit as the other seemed to distract himself, "The morgue is busy...lots of bodies, lots of reports." She drew out a small piece of paper from his hurried shuffle, not caring that it wasn't her's to look at really. When it came to work Esther had her focus on the small things, the details....that's why she looked. Years in her field despite her age made things a quick read, she knew once she saw it.
"I can see why that is now." She sighed, not one of anger or disappointment, but rather just a sound as if she could understand where the long hours and lack of sleep would come in during this line of work. The young girl knew this job wasn't an easy one when she got into it. The reports, the constant flow of information...
Looking up at Jenkins she held his papers out to him, "Do you think Lilith will help make this all better Jenkins?"

David listened to her talk about helping people. Yes, she was right, but he did not care. He was thinking about one thing, getting a nobel prize, for his studies in human gene manipulation. This was his shot at something great. Being known throughout history as someone who used animal DNA to change a human into something better. But he did not tell her that he agreed. "Yeah, he could help us in so many ways." He said to her once again a smile formed on his face.
It was not known to him for a few minutes that she had his paper. "You can see what, now?" He asked as he continued to look for the paper. If he had misplaced it so quickly he would have to start over. Which means more little bodies would end up in the swamp? He truly did not want that, because when people focus on something they tend to venture towards the bad things. Oh, you killed a hundred people. Oh, it was for science, well tell that to Timmy's mother and father.
Turning around he spotted the chart. Esther had it, and she was asking about Lilith once more. "Of course he will help us. That is why we are here. With the studies we are doing, people who were told they would never walk or see again, could possibly get those functions back." He told her as he yanked the paper from her hands. "So, love, but that is for my eyes only." He told her as he walked back to a picture on the wall.
David placed a hand on the picture and then he popped out, opening from right to left. Behind the picture sat a vault with a key pad. Turning to face the girl very briefly he began to type the code. Besides you would not want me down stairs with you cutting up those freaks, now would you?" His words were harsh, but they were very true.
Grant it he helped create those said freaks, but it was not his place to dissect them and take out their lungs or brains. It was heres. He was there to alter what 'god' gave them. The Mad Scientist placed the paper inside the vault and shut it. pressing random buttons, he locked it and covered it once more. If a person did not witness it opening they would not even have known that the safe was there.
Turning around, he made a comment on her pajamas. "Don't worry, he is not as bad as you think he is." He told her to reference of her wearing sleep wear. "So, tell me have you ever spoken with Lilith or even seen him, in person?" He asked. It was weird quite literally, the only person that David could think of who'd seen and spoken with Lilith was Mudo. It was not as if that was his only visitor, it was just Mudo, seen the boy more than anyone else.
"I want to see him terribly." He said to her. His eyes once again day-dreaming about playing with the boy. He was quite smitten with him and that could go either way.

For Esther meeting Lilith meant nothing more than being one step closer towards finding cures for diseases, discovering ways to extend human life...doing everything that she joined the job for. Sure there would be fame and fortune for those that discovered these thing, but for Esther they meant only helping those who desperately needed them. Perhaps it was the others who craved fame and recognition for their powers, but it meant little to Esther. It was one level of understanding she didn't see eye to eye on with some of her fellow scientists. Hearing that the witch would help made her smile as she curled her knees up towards her chest, "Good." she whispered softly.
"I can see why I've been so busy." She replied before the paper was snatched away from her. Esther glanced away as he took to hiding the chart she'd just see, "Sorry, but really I wouldn't mind the help down there. I would prefer more people who knew what they were doing." It was fairly true for Esther as the young medical examiner had dismissed several of those chosen to help her. It wasn't that she was a snob, but she couldn't stand being too out of control in her own area and with those assistants around who attempted to show off or outshine in order to get promotions or more recognition tended to sacrifice quality of work.
Still she let the argument go that she wouldn't mind the other's help. He made the majority of those coming down to her morgue, and so he would best understand what it was she was taking apart. Either way she still was elbow deep be death.
"I've never met Lilith. I'm hoping Mudo would let me. I came in later to this project. I've heard so much around Lilith, and I would love to just talk with him, pick his brain. There is so much that we can learn from him in order to help humanity." She smiled to herself before she met Jenkins' gaze, "Haven't you met him? What was he like?"

David laughed, "Yeah, I have a very high failure rate in this, I do not know what is killing them and why so little survive." He said with a smile on his face as he sat in his chair near his desk. He began to relax, it was getting later and he wanted to go to sleep, but before he could he would have to finish the chart and a report on the success, explaining why they survived. Thing is he did not know why certain things happened. Also, he wanted to talk Lilith. He seen him, once and yet he was not permitted to be alone with him.
"I might have a doctorate, but I refuse to dissect anyone or thing, it is not my cup of tea." He said drinking a swig of his coffee. After he had done so, the scruffy faced man, yawned and then cleared his eyes from the drops of tears. As the man cleared his eyes of things that did not belong, he replied to her statement about Lilith. "Good luck getting some alone time. Him and Mudo are always together when he is in the Labs. It is rare for others to get alone time."
Once again the man, yawned he was truly tired. Come to think of it, he had not worked late like this before. It was peaceful for a while. David was happy that he woke when he did, if the good doctor Mudo would have entered, there is no telling what he would have done to the bio-chemist. A few things came to mind that he could do to him. Most of them ending with his ironic death by science and even he found that gloomy.
Speaking of Lilith once more by the girl made him smile. "I have yet to speak with him, when the time comes, hopefully I get the chance to 'talk' to him." He said putting quotations up for talk. It was clear that he was more worried about the science portion of the meet than the brain picking. "But, I have seen him. He is very beautiful. He resembles a teenage dream girl." With that a more sinister smile came along.
"I heard that he did something and it back fired. That his looks are more of a curse or so to speak." He informed the lady. So, that once she saw him, she would know that she by looks is a he, by sex. Opening a drawer he pulled out a pen and pad. He began writing a formula on it. He had got an idea and was trying to work out the problem. His eyes became deep with thought, he was focusing on what was at hand.
He had over 30 deaths, but only a few successes and he had know idea what caused the problem. The notes he started to write could be labeled as chicken scratch. It was mainly formulas, but it was also, personal information. He figured he would have to go to each of the Experiments and question them on their personal lives, before the island and after they arrived on the island. What changed before they got to the island and what changed right before they became experiments.

Esther wasn't sure if Jenkins was willing to talk about the success versus failure rate of his experiments. Though when he brought it up she let herself recall what she'd seen. "DNA is a tricky tool...human organs, tissues mixing with animal...so much to consider. There are diseases and immune systems to think about, previous sicknesses and injuries prior to them coming here, diet, exercise. Not to butt in, but I could send you copies of my M.E. reports. Sadly, sometimes death is the best way to figure out how to cure what ails the living." When it came to work she was fairly serious about what she did despite how she acted. It was why she was brought here...and if there was some way that she could further speed up the process through any of the failed or successful experiments she was willing to do whatever it took.
She'd seen so many of them come down towards her neck of the woods. They came in all shapes and sizes, ages varying, each look a different one. It had slowly dawned on her through her own work how young some of these test subjects were. Just walking around the island there seemed to be an endless supply of children....young boys and girls who even compared to Esther were pretty young. She could remember dissecting a boy who couldn't of been more than sixteen or so...children who hasn't even started to live life long enough to know what they would accomplish. They had become tools, charts, and examples of the good they were trying to make happen. They were doing good, but at the same time she could understand why Jenkins was uninterested in the job. It wasn't the most comforting job going through people's stuff, inside or outside of their bodies.
Just that thought made her heart beat with a painful thud as she lost some of her bouncy energy, giving a half-hearten chuckle, "It's not a lot of people's cup of tea I guess."
As quickly as her mood had change it once more shifted as Lilith was spoken about. Perhaps it was all the stories, maybe it was the lack of sleep and the long hours...but it was hard to miss the reaction it brought from her and her companion at the moment. Lilith had become a light of hope. Maybe they'd get off this island one day and show the world all the wonderful things they've done.
"I don't care if Mudo is there or not, I just want to meet him. I want to know that he's real. " Getting up from her chair she moved around his office just a little bit, interested in what he was writing down so quickly, but moving away to give him the privacy he seemed to want with his papers, "I hear they caught a shifter with him too, that he's his lover. Strange, isn't it?"
Stopping near his desk once more Esther looked down at Jenkins, "Have you visited the island above? The village? All those people are making lives for themselves here, relationships. Do you ever feel bad about what we're doing sometimes?" The final question coming a little out of left field as she returned to her seat tucking one leg up closer to her chest as if for protection.

As he began to write he heard the statement "DNA is a tricky tool..." She was right, it was tricky and as she named off a few categories. he took the liberty to write them down along with a few things about emotions and upbringing. Certain things that DNA or even RNA could grow accustom to. Out of the corner of his eye he watched her walk and peak over his shoulder. He was not going to stop her. She had made it clear that she wanted to help him in anyway possible, and he would take her up on the offer.
"It is weird that you say that about Mudo. He is a nice person once you get to know him, but when it is dealing with business,it is like he has to have things his way." Spoke the man. With that he turned to Esther. His eyes blank of true emotion on the subject of the islanders lives. It was not his so, he truly was not worried about them.
"No, I have not went up there lately... at all." He told her with a sad gleam in his eyes, but he was planning on going. He was not sure how he would feel on the matter, though. Thinking about what she said, made him wonder about his family. His mum and dad, even his siblings. It was not known through out the world, but he was actually the youngest of three.
Then for some reason he began to show more emotions in his face. "I think going up there would bring back memories of my home." He said as he spun his chair around. "The only thing my family know on this subject is that I got a job as the head Bio-Chemist and that everything else would be classified..." As his chair stopped, he sat pretty much face to face with the girl. "...Did you say shifter?" That was news to him, he was not aware of a companion in any way.
As his statements rested on her, David passed the young doctor his notes. It was basically everything that would affect a person. Emotions, eating habits, DNA, RNA. You name it, it was there. "I know you are pondering what exactly I am writing at this it it." He said as he handed off the sheet of fully covered paper. "I am beginning to wonder i things like that could be what is effecting the test. I am sure that when we brought them here. The things they did prior was a major part of their lives... and now they are in a place that most likely changed their natural habits."
With that he excused himself as he made way to the fridge. "What to eat?" He pondered as he grabbed a tray that was wrapped up and labeled Fillet Mignon. Walking back over he glanced at the clock before sitting, it was 6 AM or that is what his eyes told him. Pointing to the food, he asked one last question. "Would you like anything to eat?"

"I know he can be good, but I also know that he can be scary if he wants to be." She stated simply, twirling a bit of hair about her fingers as she continued to look around the room, "This man has done so much, but sometimes I worry. It can't be helped. It's not that I don't respect him. I wouldn't be here if I didn't." Something about being up this early made her antsy, not able to really stay too still without getting bothered by the feeling that she wasn't doing something to keep her mind and body busy.
Esther wasn't sure how to react when the subject of families came up. She listened to Jenkins as she took the list he offered back. Ticking off a few more notes. What did her family think every time she called? She told them she had a job and she'd be out of the country, but instead of the tears and daily phone calls she often was simply sending them emails to keep them updated that she was alive. Her sisters and brothers missed her, but her mother and father always seemed focused on other things than their youngest. They did their part in raising her, but she always felt like she was more of a job than anything to them after what had happened years ago.
"I guess one would start to miss their family so isolated like this." she stopped writing and looked up at Jenkins giving a small nod, "They caught a shifter, his name's Nero. The witch's mate according to the villagers." It probably wasn't the smartest idea to mingle with the people of the village, to get to know them, but Esther had taken to the habit of at least observing when she could despite the danger to the project if anyone found out just who and what she was doing. Still when people around the labs mentioned the shifter she knew who they were probably talking about.
"He's almost always with the witch, but they caught him. A shifter may help the project. They're said to have healing abilities and such. Sort of like the experiments at least in terms of mixing DNA. Could be helpful." She marked down on the paper beside her on ideas that shifters could be used to help further before setting it down on the other's desk. All he'd said about his thoughts were correct, but there was no telling until people got on the table and were thoroughly looked at. She watched him wander to the fridge.
Her own stomach rumbled a bit as he offered her food, still she shook her head, "Issue is we don't know what factors will work for or against us and it will be a game of trial and error."

"To be fully honest with you. I do not think he cares about respect, I truly think he feeds and lives on fear." He was not talking from experience, but from what he witnessed from the last time, they had Lilith in custody. The last time he forced the guy into a sub-mission and when they got him back, he knew for certain that the man, was going to do something harsh to him, the look that he gave when he knew that Lilith was back in custody, but none of that mattered to the doctor. All he wanted was to talk to him, work with him. Fix him.
He noticed how quickly the female doctor moved away from the subject. She began to talk about Nero. David knew who he was, but not fully. "Now that would be nice to work with." He said referring to Nero as an object and not a person. "I mean shifters are born able to shape shift into any animal, if that is permitted with their DNA. Using one as a subject as a bases for the experiments, would no doubt keep them from having straight up animal features until they morphed." He told her.
As she shook her head to the offer of food, he went back and grabbed her something, since it was near breakfast, might as well offer her something to eat anyway. Grabbing the breakfast platter he walked over to the microwave and began to warm up the dishes. "That is the problem, they bring me these subjects and expect me to make them flay, but tell me nothing of their health and origins. I hate that, I have to send them to get test ran, before I can even began my work."
David was very much use to his personality and he was easily matched with anyone who was close to his personality or job. She was the perfect friend. As the microwave dinged he removed the items and went back to his desk. "I figured that you too were hungry so, I brought you something as well." He said as he glanced over her should to see what she was writing down. "So, tell me what do you got down, so far?"

Esther gave a small shiver at Jenkins words, she didn’t like thinking that the man she chose to work with wanted fear and not respect, still she wasn’t saying she wasn’t afraid of him though. He was powerful, and there was always something off about him that threw her off from all the professors and other doctors she’d ever worked with. She wanted so badly to believe in Mudo though, wanted to stay with him and make the world a better place, the ideal place that he seduced her into her position with. To accomplish that she would follow him anywhere. “We’re doing good, we’ll get rid of the fear.” Perhaps in her own way Esther was fooling herself into thinking that the world needed Mudo to make it better.
She was thankful no questions came up about her own situation, but still she felt that he knew she was avoiding the subject. If there was one thing she knew her co-workers to be, it was that they weren’t stupid. Still with the focus on shifters now she looked up from her work, “I haven’t gotten to touch one, get my hands on one and just watch them. The fact that nature has mixed animals and humans means that what we’re doing is possible, we’ve just got to find the right mix as we could have the success we need. To get the benefits without having the shifting side effect could help us so much, shifters are said to be able to heal themselves faster than humans, certain diseases don’t effect them.” She pushed her notes back over towards Jenkins, doodles taking up the edges of the paper as well as her notes about the shifters. Spending time up near the village, listening into the goings on had helped her understand a lot more about the people they worked with, but she understood what he was saying about the time table desired by the others.
“I know all too well that they expect the best as fast as we can create it. My reports are all backed up because of it. We’ve just got to keep on it, we’re doing this for the good of the world, of all the people. We’ve got to keep pushing ahead or else we’ll be like the rest of the fat, lazy doctors who only care about draining people of all that they have only to give them the feeling that they might be cured.” She looked at the food place near her, eyeing it for a moment before stretching an arm out to pick at a bit of eggs and bacon, nibbling on it just a little, “Thank you.”
She gave a small sigh, stretching out in her seat a little bit more. “Really without more insight into the people we bring in the only thing I think of is that we need bodies and minds that are strong enough to take physical and mental strain of our work.

Hearing her say that they were doing good made the doctor who rarely liked smiling smile. He enjoyed hearing things like that from others, but in a way they were doing good. Though he could not help wonder at what extent. People would die or be forever modified as freaks. David was mean, but he carried for people and being rushed to create working experiments, was pushing his patience. All he could think of was how would his family react if someone said they found his body on the side of the road, and he was not 'normal'. That is what he was doing and all because he wanted to surpass God.
Getting the notes back he chuckled, "So, tell me do the members in your family share your knack for art?" He asked, he heard what she said about the shifter and never touching one, but he wanted to know, what made her take the job, for David it was simple fame and the love of science, but for some it was not that simple. Jumping on the subject of working way to fast, he nodded in agreement. "I am with you on that. That is why I want to meet them, the experiments. See, what I can do to do this more efficient. I truly hate when my projects die." His tone on the creatures had changed in such a little time, maybe it was the lack of sleep or maybe talking to her, either way he was somber about it all.
"You are welcome, my dear." He said as she took the food, he was right she was hungry, who would not be at this time of day. As she began to explain the certain things that the group would need to know, he wondered if he could get Mudo to relax a little and give them all extra time to come up with perfect or near perfect experiments. Instead of the ones that would died only after a few hours, or the ones that resembled the test animal.

Esther wanted to believe they were doing good...had to believe in what they were doing. It just made her tummy hurt to think anything else, old aches and nightmares of a child haunting her. She knew killing was wrong, kidnapping people and doing this was not "right", but for what purpose they were doing it for was right to her.
As Jenkins asked about her family she tensed, not looking up at him as she continued to pick at the food in front of her. She gave a small nod, "My two older brothers both loved art...we spent a lot of time together." Her voice was nearly a whisper as she spoke, her free hand rubbing at her leg where her pajama pants covered the little pen sized scars that ran up and down her legs. She knew they loved art because they would spend ages with her in the large hospital rooms when they were all there. They would draw and doodle when their parents and other siblings weren't there, and they would show her and teach her. When their parents were there they were too busy fawning over the two older siblings about how well the treatments were going as she would simply scribble pen on paper in some attempt to distract from the fog of pain meds.
"The more we know about our subjects the less we have to take, the longer they live...the others above get suspicious." Once more she spoke of being among the islanders and hearing the rumors, "We have got to be careful now, they'll all notice Lilith is gone, a few must already be on high alert." Sighing she ruffled her hair again, a little frustrated to be so close yet so far from what they wanted to accomplish.
"It can't hurt to ask Mudo. Once he's done with Lilith it's only fair we each get our chance to meet and at least examine him." She stretched out, stealing a piece of bacon as she stood up nibbling on it like a small animal might. She was tired, but too awake to think about sleep now. Soon more people would be filing down here to work, more would be talking about what the events that had just happened. No doubt there were those working already set on outshining those who had be selected to head this whole experiment. "He chose us to help him so I would think that Lilith is someone that we need to know else what use are we in our own work with these experiments?" She stretched a little her lab coat fluttering around her pajamas a little bit as she went back to looking around Jenkins' office.
"Jenkins..." She began, stopping for a moment as she stared off at some of the piles of books reading their titles, "Why did you except this job? I mean to be whisked away from civilization and put into this strange place and doing this to people...it sounded like such a strange offer to be made to any normal doctor, didn't it?"

He watched as she cringed a bit at the mention of her family, were they dead. Or did she have a bad memory connected to it. He gave a careful smile, showing signs of sympathy. "So, you and your brothers had things in common. That is good." He said moving closer. He was wanting to ask her about the islands inhabitants, but was not sure how she would react. It was not forbidden to go up, but most doctors avoided the area.
"Well, either we learn more as fast as we can and save lives as you would like to do. Or I can keep sending you bodies by the hundred. Either way, my portion of the job would get done." His tone changed a tad, he was no longer feeling emotions for the creatures. He wanted to be nice, he figured she would love the job a lot better if the subjects did not all die, but she was making excuses. "Besides, I rather have normal looking people walking out around here, than those freak shows." he said voice showing no signs of friendly emotions.
He was done, with the friendly act, he wanted to get things done the right way. Then she asked him that question. He use to know the answer to it, but now he was lost on why he truly took the job. "At first..." He said stopping for a brief moment. "At first I wanted to be recognized for what I help bring to the world, but over the years, it has become more and more about the money." He said. It was true when he started the job it was about who he could help and how, but lately it was truly about the money.
Maybe going up there would help him get back in touch with his human emotions. He felt as if he was becoming more and more like Mudo, which from where he was sitting at the moment was not all it was cracked up to be. "But yeah, I started to become a better Scientist and help, but now I really do not know why I took it now."
