Lilith...
The name meant so much, like a prayer for happiness and hope. The person behind the name was even more precious it seemed. The excitement in the lab almost palpable in the air. That was why when someone was asked to go take food and medical supplies down to the witch Esther nearly tackled down the others to volunteer.
Less than a week ago Esther had come back into lab, bloody, wrists broken, covered in scratches and bruises. It had taken hours to get her to calm down long enough to talk about her trip to the surface, to find out about the vampire who had made a game of her. Once things had calmed down and her work for the next few days assigned they'd set about to healing her. There was no point in having a medical examiner who couldn't use her hands, and thanks to the advance technology of the devices Esther had only a few more days before the bandages covering her wrists would be removed. For now they were just hindered in their movements, unable to really work due to the uncomfortable pain and stiffness of her bindings.
On top of her disability it had been made very clear that she was not to step outside of the lab again for quite some time. Even as an adult it seemed that she was still able to be grounded. With not much else to do though she attempted to find a way to get close to Lilith, to talk with him outside of observing Dr. Mudo.
Esther was giddy beyond belief as she scurried down the hall closer towards the room they'd set up for Lilith. Despite the difficulty of moving she carried with her a large tray burdened with food from the kitchens which had simply started off as stew and bread, but thanks to her own involvement in the kitchens had become a rather cluttered tray of whatever she thought the other might like. The first aid kit strapped over her shoulder bounced against her hip until she stopped in front of the assigned room.
Now only the door separated her from the witch she'd idolized since she'd first come here, he would help her...help everyone in fixing the world. What did one say to such a person?
Carefully balancing the tray she knocked on the door gently, moving to open it just a crack so as to peek in. "Hello? Lilith?" Pushing the door opened more Esther stepped in, locking the door behind her before she looked about the room slowly, "Hello! I've brought some stuff for you Lilith..." Her voice shook, not really out of fear, but of sheer excitement that made her tremble just a bit.
