Being out here all alone was, in one word: terrifying. Alexiel had been sleeping in their little house, waiting on Isaak to return to him. But now, once more, the little vampire boy was lost. He wandered out every night looking for his master, only to never find him. He was starting to lose some hope. Miss A'isha had been looking after him, but even she had tried to prepare him for the fact that his master may not return to him, but Alexiel couldn't really fathom that.
Isaak had promised they'd be together. And he didn't think that he would just get up and leave without a reason. Still, Alexiel wondered if he'd done something wrong. He had ran off into the forest soon before Isaak left, and the other vampire had been mad enough to punish him. He supposed he could understand, but now Isaak was gone and he felt like it was somehow his fault.
He sat down on the shore and stared out across the endless ocean. He didn't know where he was, and he didn't think he'd be making it back before morning. Now he was alone and scared, and he didn't like it. He hadn't been this scared in a long time. Before Isaak, he'd been used to being alone. He'd lived with his grandmother-- a woman who was nice yet forgetful and without much money. His parents were just gone. They'd dumped him and left him for her when he was three.
Yes, he'd been used to being alone. But with Isaak, he'd had someone older than him that really cared about him. "Isaak, where are you..." he whispered to the ocean, tears starting to pour down his cheeks. He just wanted Isaak back.
