This island had changed his life completely since he got here. They had lost contact with the outside world, he had a new son, and then just to hit it home his daughter went and got herself killed. Pleasant had no idea what exactly had happened but all he knew was the bond had evaporated like early morning fog without a trace on a day or so before. Now he really was alone which bothered him because it was hard to appear 'young' when you were pretty much alone on such an island.
He needed something to distract him and this little party he had stumbled upon would certainly do the trick. Pleasant honestly didn't care for the rhyme or reason of the party, what he did care about though was the alcohol he easily found thanks to a distracted quite drunk Asian man. He snatched the bottle and popped the top in the little tent they were stored in not caring for appearances at the moment.
Pleasant came out just to watch one man practically fly through the air thanks to another, but he just shrugged it off. Honestly, he was happy with a bottle all to himself. Sure it was harder to get drunk not being human but he wasn't exactly the normal vampire height and still stuck as a kid so he could get drunk quite nicely, soon enough. Erase and Replace

She’d been MIA for awhile, but all in good reason, but perhaps she had strayed for too long, because now that she was back something was very wonky with the world she returned to. Instead of the blond headed witch who sat perched on his throne with that big brute of his, there was a vacant spot now, and that was terrible. Without a leader, or a punisher what order there was might all fall apart, especially with the seven siblings about. The redhead sighed walking into the party, she wasn’t celebrating the witch’s absences, no the redhead was looking for someone. She hadn’t spoken to the other woman since her departure to figure out this new place, and she longed for Delora’s company. The damion craved another to talk to, something somewhat stable in her life. The youth walked in, green eyes moving face to face, lingering on ones that held the features of Delora’s, but sighing when it turned out to be someone else. Charlie pursed her lips, arms crossing as she waited. Maybe Delora hadn’t come to this party, maybe she was elsewhere.
There. Wait who was that douche talking to her? Mammon. The name popped into Charlie’s head, as she took in the Sin. It looked like he was upsetting her friend, the way her brow furrowed, pain springing into her eyes. Charlie waited, wondering if she should step in as she watched the two interact, but decided against it. This wasn’t her argument, so she watched from the shadows, daring Mammon to lay a single hand on Delora. She lost her view on the pair for a moment, as some people got in her way, and when she finally found them again the daimon noticed someone new had came into view. Oh great, Asmodeus was joining the party too. Was he trying to come to Delora’s aid? Whatever the idiot said had clearly upset Mammon, because now instead, the other Sin was flying across the room. Way to go. Charlie smirked. But Delora was turning away, walking out the door.
Charlie practically raced across the room, wrapping the girl in a hug, a grin on her face. “Hey, girlie! Haven’t seen you in like forever!” Came her warm greeting, as she stepped back from the other daimon. “Hope you haven’t been getting into too much trouble.” She teased lightly, eyes dancing. It looked like Delora wanted to be elsewhere, to be far from here and way from everyone, especially Mammon. But she’d have to face that boy sometime or later, maybe though right now wasn’t the ideal point in time. She linked her arm with Delora, “So hun, where too?” She smiled, her gaze staring into Delora’s.

"Now is now and later is later," he gave a small laugh, "So can't you just live in the now and not the future?" That was pretty much Leo's entire lifestyle, act first think about it if need be. Silly mortal women, always worrying about things they can't control and then end up wasting their lives away. No, life was more fun when impulse held the reins.
When she moved closer he was able to pick up her sent easily thanks to his sensitive nose and a smirk appeared on his face. Was this island really that filled with so many mortals that could change shape? Wasn't there any true humans left on this planet or had they been whipped out?
"Well it seems I arrive when the witch makes his disappearance," Leo answered watching the other islanders and all the nonsense they were getting themselves into. "Which is all perfectly fine by me," he said as he continued to watch the party. It was a wonderful thing because now he was a dog off the leash, ready to cause a hell load of havoc. Another Cog

Talbot stood there, looking the other over as he seemed to lecture her about living in the now. Living in the now, until she'd gotten to this island she'd been always living in the now. School was fine and all, but everyday had been different, everyday there was fun because survival never came to mind. If she was back home she'd no doubt be partying with friends, celebrating the end of the summer and not the supposed "death" of a witch. She tilted her head to the side like a curious puppy, "Just because I'm not throwing myself around a fire in what others are calling dancing doesn't mean I'm not living in the now. I'm just worried as when the most powerful disappear what it could mean for the rest of us. Not that I'm not happy."
Lifting her hand up she ran it through her hair, pulling it back from her face. She smiled, "I'm surprised the lecture of living now and not later is coming from someone chatting up a girl with a book and not out there dancing like a wild animal. I'm just a plain girl with not much going for her except knowing the island." Stepping in closer again she stuck her hands in her jacket pockets as a soft breeze came and ruffled the bottom of her skirt, barefeet digging into the sand beneath them that was still warm from the blazing sun of the day.
"You have yet to tell me who you are. I can only assume that means you're trouble until further notice." A soft chuckled as she looked away, "If I'm having to live in the now it's best to know who I'm living it up with right now."

He listened to her still keeping an eye on the others still. The way humans interacted, well humans and the ones that wore a mask of it much better than he ever could. He gave a small laugh, "They haven't started dancing around the flames yet. That would be much more interesting." Though he said that, there were still things that were quite....interesting. "But there is definitely still quite a bit of power on this island," he said as he turned back towards her as he had just saw Mammon and Asmodeus "playing" not so far off.
A wild animal? Well, that wasn't so far off. "Every wild animal has to take a break now doesn't he?" he asked his eyes sparkling with his own animalistic power wanting to come out still. He watched her sink her feet into the warmth the sand still held those thoughts never leaving for a moment of ripping them off her legs or maybe just taking her head. After this little party, if he hadn't by the end of it, he was going to have to go on a fun little spree.
"Giving you a name makes me less trouble?" he asked raising an eyebrow in the curiosity of it. How would a word, even his name, be of much any use in that sense? Sometimes he honestly didn't understand the way people thought. "Though I'm Leo if you really must know," he said in the end giving her his name or at least the part of it that he used. Talbot stopped for a moment as he asked the importance of his name. She blinked before she began to laugh, the sound breaking across the rush of waves along the shore, and the wind. "Well I guess I can only assume I can use it to scream it out if I need to make sure everyone else knows whose getting me into trouble." The laughter slowly faded to a soft chuckle, a final heaving sigh ending it as her chest stretched the worn and sun-bleached fabric of her dress. "I'm Talbot." A name for a name, and even trade if she ever saw one.
This gentleman...no, that term didn't seem to suit him at all...Talbot thought before giggling to herself turning back to watch the masses below move and celebrate. He was interesting to say the leas, different. She could remember Ophelia striking her the same way, getting in closer than most ever had tried to do, if not for the fact that they were the only ones to approach her with ease. For her she could only feel a little more respect towards him as she could feel her beast settle back just a little within her. It seemed she was also keen to know more about this strange smelling companion that had fallen into her presence.
"You talk about wild animals needing a break Leo...what if this is my break?" She leaned in, brushing a hand against his chest in almost a playful slap, "I can't tell if you're trying to make fun of me, or asking me to join you down there with them...I'm pretty sure I'm more of a bore than any of them down there. I wouldn't blame you if you did lose interest in me. A girl with a book and a will to survive, not a very impulsive person to visit if you ask me. You'd have better luck with the others to find something interesting to play with." Part of her was teasing him, trying to playfully give him a jab as he had done her, but the other part was honesty...not sure why he'd come to her to begin with.

That is if I give you the chance to scream, was the first thought that went through his mind but one he actually stopped from coming out of his mouth. Oh how he would enjoy to and they were far enough out that not many would see, less actually to care if they saw all those teeth he truly had. He had a lust for this woman, but a blood lust, one that wished to see her bleed and her insides make their appearance on the outside. Well, he hadn't let his name become known and his tail in a bit of trouble by being nice.
His true nature so aware as he watched her carefully, every move and every breath just waiting. That mind contemplating all the possibilities and the cons with the pros. Would he strike? Could he... of course he could. Sure, she wasn't human but she wasn't much higher than one. Leo could easily play with her and do as he pleased for that always present blood lust.
He honestly only listened to about half of what she said, but that was enough for him. His eyes lit with the beast just under this thin fake mask of a human disguise. Leo moved quickly, his right hand catching her chin, "Now tell me when was the last time you saw a wild animal with a book because I sure as hell never have." You Better Run like the Devil

Talbot moved to leave, beginning to make her way down the grassy and sandy dune she'd perched herself on towards the beach. She figured she'd had her fun, and that in all honesty there wasn't a whole lot about her to keep anyone around for too long. It was better to leave before anyone got bored. Still she had to admit the young man was intriguing for the sheer fact he came to her first and not the party.
A movement towards her surprised her, eyes widening as she felt a warm touch on her chin. Amber eyes brightened in the dark night, taking on an almost iridescent glow as she met his gaze. Her own beast rising up to the surface and the scent of the one so close to her overpowered those of the sea and the air around her. The hair standing on the back of her neck. Every muscle tensed as her playful smile faded to a slight smirk as she pulled back just a bit.
"I guess I like being different. You're pretty different yourself." Her voice growing a little husky, "You aren't human...though living here now that isn't a surprise, but you smell new." Pulling from his grasp she took a few steps back. Her run in with previous supernaturals had left her with bruises, cuts, and scars...she'd learned her lesson back then not to get too close unless given a reason to do otherwise.

Delora almost thought she was hearing things when she heard the other girl's voice but once she felt that arm link to hers she knew her friend had returned. She threw her arms around the other girl, and cried on her shoulder much like she had the night they met in the graveyard.
"Please take me away from here, I can't take being near him anymore. I want to forget him completely" she sobbed out softly, not caring if Mammon heard her words at the moment.
"I don't care where Charlie just away from this beach" she said weakly, a few tears still sliding down her cheeks. She felt herself grow very weak. 'This despair is so draining' she thought, leaning against her friend for support. Her knees felt like they would buckle at any moment, and she'd be forced to stay here. "Let's go to the waterfall, Charlie. I heard it's quiet and pretty there" she said, her voice growing weaker and a bit more tired sounding.

He laughed when she pulled away with him with that response, though his laugh sounding closer to a bark than anything. His eyes seeming so much more than just the two, all his heads wanting the freedom of their own to play with the interesting little woman before them ....him.
"Hmm I guess I can't hide under a human mask," he tone almost as if he were complaining as he looked at one of his hands almost as if to find fur poking out, "but you aren't exactly human either miss." Leo moved closer not letting her get to far away from him, "But I do like the sound of smelling new rather than old, I guess."
His smile looking more feral than before but he wasn't going to discard this mask just yet, no he was actually enjoying this face for once. It gave him interesting opportunities to have a bit of fun with people like this Talbot. Now it was all a matter of time to see where this would go next. Ashes to Ashes

Echo back up slowly after being thrown by his younger brother across the little party. He licked the blood off his left forearm not worrying about the pain since he know had something more important to think about. Sure, he was known for playing around and not usually caring what stupid fights his younger siblings got into but when he was pulled in it was a complete change of character.
The dangerous blue strand of light went from finger to finger on both hand as he made his way back towards his brother ignoring all the looks he was receiving from the other part goers. It was time to play with Mammon in a whole new way and the boy had practically asked for it. Echo's hair coursing with static though it wasn't as noticeable as his hands since his hands thanks to his hairstyle but the daimon was livid.
"Oh brotherrrrrr," he called still halfway across the beach, yelling over other people to make sure he was heard, "I wanna play new game." A dangerous smile on those usually lust covered lips, well he didn't let himself go enough like this. Talk Your Trash

Post by Amaya Peregrine on Sept 12, 2010 7:40:51 GMT -5
Amaya stared at the Asian man, and for some reasons that she couldn't quite pin, the guy was absolutely adorable to her even though it was obvious that he was already completely plastered. Where as normally she would be utterly turned away and disgusted with such lame pick up lines, Amaya was amused. It probably because the man's attempt was horribly botched. Either way, she giggled softly. Slowly, Amaya swung her hands around and gently clasped them in front of her.
"Well, thank you for the compliment, Mr..?" As she fished for his name Amaya realized that she probably should have offered hers first. "My name is Amaya." She wasn't going to give her last name. There seemed to be a lot of crazy people on this island and even thought the drunken man in front of her appeared harmless, one could never be too sure. However, that wasn't going to stop her from being friendly with him. "Perhaps you could try something more along the lines of your eyes glow stunningly in the moonlight?"
There was a light teasing air to the tone in Amaya's voice. She really didn't want to push him away. This island could get terribly lonely, especially for someone in a personal predicament such as hers. Slowly, the kelpie allowed her eyes to wander over him. For a moment she felt almost guilty. This guy wasn't sober. It wasn't morally right to want to flirt with him. This obviously wasn't his normal personality.

(i'm still alive, but i'm barely breathing.)j u s t p r a y i n g t o a g o d t h a t i d o n ' t b e l i e v e i nShane could practically hear his heart snap, crack, and break in two as he could only watch Charlie, wide-eyed, wondering why people wanted to wisk her away all of the sudden. He couldn't keep fighting them off, knwoign that she didn't want to see him anyways. No matter how much he wanted to, and no matter if he had the best intentions, he couldn't help but feel that hsi child truly ahted him; And that very thought tore at him harder than any weapon could, and hate burned in hsi heart, not at her but at himself. His legs wobbled as his stomach churned, and starnge liquid dripped down his cheek. Fuck, fuck, fuck. He though to himself, and he didn't want to look so weak in front of his child but he couldn't help it. It was starnge to call her that, as he hadn't even matured himself. It wasn't right, leaving a child in the company of another, and he just didn't have the responsibility needed to cater to her need as he wished to. Looking at Charlie, he desrved every bit of hate he was receiving from her, and he could only hope she'd take care of Delora in the way he couldn't. A smile went across his face, though bittersweet, knowing she'd be in good hands.
Still, her words hurt him more than anything could as she begged, practically screamed for freedom away from him, to just get away form him at any expense. Thoguh Charlie could do her best to calm the girl down, to get her to settle down, there was nothing that could soothe the pain that stood stagnant in his chest and hurt him, as if someone had stabbed a knife through it. He knew it would have been best for her to leave him, it would have been good for anyone to. Sometimes, he wished he could die, maybe it would relieve the stress that he seemed to put on his loved ones so greatly, even if they were little in number. His voice cracked, and it was raspy, as he tried to make it through words without choking up; A weak, little boy in front of her, as his eyes were moist and he tried to put words together nervously, hard to do with the pain. "Just take care of her..., he stuttered raspily to Charlie, unsure if she could even hear. He tried to choke out more, as if leaving her specific instructions. "Don't fucking h-hurt her, or take care of her, i swear if you d-don't i'll fucking k-kill you..., he tried to choke out, but his threats were useless. They held no authority, only sorrow as his face pinched up and he fought back tears to no avail, and he was sure Despair was feeding off of it happily, just as she desrved to; To see someone else's pain for once instead of her own, it must have been wonderful.
He could barely make it through the last sentence, that needed to be said, through chokes and sniffles. You fucking weakling, stop that!, he cursed at himself in his head, his own stupidity fighting to save his ego, but he just didn't care naymore. He didn't want to be something to fear, yet he always would be. He looked up at Delora, trying to keep himself together but ultimately failing. His black eyes hollow and bloodhsot, you could practically see his sorrow right through them as he tried to muster out the words and put them together, making sure what could be his last words to her would atleast sound good. "I w-want you to know that I still love you, and I always will with every inch of me.", he sniffled, his weeping dying down somewhat. He wasn't sure what the 'love' in there met, all he knew is that it meant alot of different things that he had yet to figure out. He wanted to throw his arms around her and tell her everything was alright, more to comfort himself than her. But she knew she would shiver and cry at his very touch, so he didn't, he didn't want to hurt her anymore. He tried to shuffle away out of the party with his dignity, or at the very least what was left of it, as he ehard his brother's voice.
A faux smile crossed his face, trying to shield the misery behind his eyes. Though aware of his brother's intentions, he just needed to get away from thsi party before he made evn more of a fool olut of himself. Looking up at him, he realized it was useless to try and resist hsi rbtoher's charms, in a way. Atleast he had a sibling who actually liked him, in whatever way that may have been, and he was willing to take any kind of comfort he could recieve, even if it was in all the wrong places. He placed another glance at Pazuzu, perhaps one he didn't deserve, and then turned back to Echo. The faux smile dissappeared from his face, replaced by a frown, so dreadfully sincere. "Just get me out of here, please...", he choked out, honestly not caring where he was taken. Just away from here.

New...when she'd said it she wasn't saying it to call the other young, but she figured he knew what she meant. He was a new scent, not like the shifters or the humans, or the vampires, or anyone for that matter. Talbot wasn't sure how she knew all of this, but she could just feel it, like someone was behind her whispering all the answers to her. There was no one behind her, no voice other than hers and the thing in front of her. She didn't want to give her beast the give it needed to come out, she wasn't up for risking her life just because he didn't make her comfortable.
So far he wasn't as bad as Nero. Well the sheer fact he hadn't tried to kill her already was simply her basis for comparison, and so far a lot of people had passed that test. Still she backed up more the closer he got, she knew it was a good idea to keep distance when the next few steps where unsteady and unpredictable. Just a little out of arms reach was far enough to feel safe. Speed was always a factor that could void any safety with distance, but it was a risk she was willing to take.
"I suspected you knew before I figured you out. I'm still new to the whole smelling out the stranger's identity." She said, lips quirking up just a little as she could feel her beast rising up, brushing against her from the inside, coaxing more of its nature out as she just stared at the other for a few moments.
"If you aren't human...then what are you?" She asked, "I think I have the right to know what i'm smelling."

"Hikari!" he said a little too loudly, his enthusiasm getting the better of him in his drunken state. "I'm Hikari. And my friend here is--oh wait, never mind, he didn't come to the party. I forgot for a minute there, haha!"
He had turned slightly as if to introduce someone who wasn't there, forgetting momentarily that Kato hadn't come with him to the party, though he had tried to get him to. The faintest trace of disappointment flashed across his face for a split-second as he realized his best friend was likely sulking on the beach somewhere, when there was a perfectly good party going on. But then he came back to himself, and he couldn't help but focus completely on the gorgeous girl in front of him.
"Heh, what you said sounded much better... I've never been too good with words," he said, grinning in embarrassment and scratching the tip of his nose with one finger. "Aaa, but you're so cute, I just want to hug you!"
He wasn't so far gone that he would just glomp a near stranger without warning, but it was a bit of an effort to keep from doing it, partly because she really was so adorable in his eyes. Her feminine little mannerisms, like clasping her hands in front of her, just added to that cuteness factor.
