Amaya couldn't help but giggle at Hikari. He was one of those adorable drunks. A lot of people seemed to get rather obnoxious when they were under the influence of alcohol but fortunately it didn't seem that Hikari was that type of person. Her brown eyes stayed fixated on him, a small smile never slipping away from her soft pink lips. She briefly thought of what his impression of her must be. Of course he undoubtedly assumed that she was born the way that she appeared, and that she was a human unless he knew about supernaturals himself. Amaya would never tell him her secret.. not if she wanted to keep him around.
But she had to admit that it was pretty hard for anyone to tell the difference.
"I think Hikari is a lovely name. It means light, doesn't it?" Her own name, Amaya, was indeed Japanese but she herself was only half Japanese. Amaya's father was Caucasian from America. She didn't know how to speak the language very well either, but she could definitely get by. "Either way, it's nice. It suits you." The kelpie unclasped her hands, a bit surprised at the mention that Hikari wanted a hug from her. A few months ago she would have blanched at this, because before she was complete she was always afraid people would find her out.
For what seemed like an eternity, Amaya ignored the request for physical interaction, turning her gaze to the sand. Once again hair fell over her face and she appeared to be contemplating something deeply. Finally, she looked back up at Hikari. "You think I'm cute? Not a lot of people think I'm cute.." That pink tint returned to her cheeks, her feet absently shuffling so that she stood a little bit closer to him.

Today was just too good to be true! First there was a party on the beach, and then there was a cute girl having an actual conversation with him, not throwing a drink in his face and storming off or something equally discouraging like that, which is what he was usually used to when it came to girls. He certainly didn't want to blow it this time.
Considering he was already quite drunk, he thought about putting down his bottle, but he didn't want it to go to waste, so he grabbed the hand of the person nearest him (which happened to be young Pleasant) and put the drink in it.
"Here ya go, kid, I've had enough already," he said without a second thought and turned back to Amaya.
Other than that, Hikari was utterly smitten with Amaya, hanging on her every word. Could it be that this girl was actually flirting back? It was virtually unheard of, except in those cases where Hikari happened to be flirting with a chick who was more on his level as far as attractiveness went, but it was obvious to anyone that Amaya was definitely out of his league. If he had had a little less alcohol in his system, he might have wondered what was wrong with her, but at the moment no such thought occurred to him.
"Thank you, your name is lovely, too. 'Night rain,' right?" He smiled from ear to ear as her hair fell over her face again. She had that sort of shyness to her that the typical Japanese schoolgirl often affected, but Hikari had the feeling that hers was genuine. "How could anyone not think you're cute?? You must hang around all the wrong kinds of people! Or maybe they're lying because they're jealous. Me, I tell it like I see it, and you. are. CUTE!"

Did Hikari really just give a bottle of alcohol to a child? Amaya stared at him in disbelief, watching the child for a moment before looking back to Hikari. "Um, Hikari.. Do you realize you just gave a child a bottle of alcohol?" Amaya was a good girl. She couldn't really watch something like that happening and just ignore it. Besides, was that really the kind of person that Hikari was? She sincerely hoped not.
As the kelpie watched Hikari, the situation with the young boy had begun to slowly slip from her mind. He was just simply adorable.. and this in itself was probably a horrible thing because if he were able to make her forget about kids with booze, then who knows what kinds of terrible things he could do and she would just go 'eh, it's alright because you're cute!'.
By now, the two of them were perhaps a little too close to each other. Of course, Amaya wasn't going to do anything other than simply stand next to him, no matter how cute he was. Amaya was in love with the idea of romance.. the idea that a man could and would sweep her off of her feet and make her fall head over heels. She was indeed a virgin, and she planned to keep it that way until she found the right person to give herself up to. Someone who could love her despite the fact that she wasn't born this way.
Hikari's voice quickly brought Amaya back into reality. She smiled at him, a genuine, happy smile. "Yes, it means night rain." Of course that wasn't her legal name, but he didn't need to know that. "I've had a couple of people call me cute, but I never believe them. Most people don't like how shy I am.." Or the fact that she used to have a penis.

He had almost broken the taller man's arm right then and there when his hand was grabbed. Pleasant had already gone through a bottle of booze by himself and now he really wasn't going to deal with shit. Though it all instantly changed when he was handed a opened bottle. Not many would give him a bottle on their own free will, well unless they knew who he was.
Ah, but this poor human was already drunk to really care about right and wrong. Also, to add to it, it looked like he was distracted by something much more interesting than any alcohol. Pleasant took a drink from the bottle watching the two for a minute curious to how well a drunken man could do with the other. Now if only the smells weren't so annoying, one smelled horribly of alcohol and the other of the salty ocean. Well, this just got a bit more interesting now.
He took another drink from the bottle, "Cute?" He was going to enter the conversation whether the two like it or not. "She is one of the ginchiest women here," Pleasant said with a little smile not really realizing that he was using words much before their time.

A dangerous smile on his face now as she continued to back up which only made him want to move closer and closer. It was almost like he had got her to do a dance, an odd dance if you could even call it one. He wasn't going to loose her until he was done, not the other way around. No matter what happened he would catch, it would just be her choice if that was with hands or paws.
"I believe we already went over this," he smiled those pointed teeth not seeming to fit right in that human mouth, "I'm Leo, that is who and what I am." It wasn't a lie, but he knew that wasn't what she was looking for. She was obviously trying to figure out what he was in comparison to herself. Ah now he didn't know if he could hold himself all in, he just wanted to play with her in his true form so much right now for she seemed like so much more fun then she knew.
"So my little kitty cat," that smile seemed as if it was forever there on his face, "What shall we do now?" S - I - N

Asmodeus was easily ready to light his brother up like a bloody fucking Christmas tree after throwing him across the party like he had. After all, metal was excellent conductors for electricity and well that was his brother, at least in a sense. Right now he didn't care about his brother's feelings that were so easily readable.
Echo being himself didn't believe and love and such nonsense as that, it just got in the way of his fun and play. Though he had countless mortals tell them they were completely "in love" with him in the times he was on Earth, but in the end they were just little toys and left to rot when he was done. the only thing was Asmodeus couldn't let go what his brother had said, it left much to be interpreted as he pleased.
"Sure," that dangerous smile changing slightly as a arm went around his brother. A bit of electricity flowing out of his hand to Shane's chest. Sure, Echo was going to let Mammon pay him back in a different way now but that didn't mean they couldn't play with a bit of a spark too.

It took a moment for Hikari to process what Amaya was talking about with the kid, then he turned and actually got a good look at Pleasant. Somehow in his drunken stupor he had just assumed he was really short, but now he realized that wasn't quite the case. He reached out slightly to take the bottle back, but something kept him from doing so, maybe the way the kid's eyes looked sort of menacing, catching the light and glinting red for a moment. Or was that just his imagination? Even so, he put his hand back down at his side.
Before he could reassure Amaya about her utter cuteness (some of it actually being due to her shyness, at least in his opinion), the boy made a comment using a word Hikari didn't recognize. He had no idea what it meant, but it didn't sound good to him.
"Hey, don't use foreign languages just to mask what you're trying to say," he said indignantly, though the full effect of it was countered by the way he swayed slightly as he turned to face Pleasant. "And if you wanna insult Amaya, you gotta go through me, first!"

Tonight Talbot had assumed the danger would come from the sudden disappearance of the witch, Lilith. Nothing that powerful could leave and not have some sort of ripple, but so far the only danger Talbot seemed to find was in the company she kept during this party. Now it seemed like a bad idea not to have gone down closer to the others, though she was pretty sure now that by the smile the other seemed to have plastered on his face an audience would do little to stop him if he really wanted.
A low rumble echoed from her chest, starting at a soft purr it grew into a growl as she continued back, over the sandy dune. It was hard holding back the beast, but Talbot managed as best as she could. "I guess this proves knowing someone's name doesn't stop them from being trouble." A half joke, trying to distract from whatever thoughts were going on in the other's head, her eyes narrowed as she gritted her teeth. Despite what Lilith had instructed her to do Talbot had no one else, no other shifters to fall back on, no pack...and now it felt like a really good time to have more backup. She knew fighting here would put her at a disadvantage, out in the open on the lower ground...not knowing just what the other was in front of her.
Stopping the growl grew louder, "I'm not your damn kitten and the only think I want to do right now is leave your company." She turned then, not yet making a run for the woods, her steps paced though as she started away, listening behind her for any sounds other than her racing heart.

Amaya smiled a little bit as she watched Hikari reach for the bottle in the child's hand. So he really was a person of morals.. he simply just didn't realize who he handed the bottle off to. However, when Hikari hesitated, Amaya raised her eyebrow. Then he put his hand back to her side and she had to admit that she was a little disappointed. She knew that she should just pass it off as the man being drunk, but something like this was just proving hard to look over.
Then the kid spoke about her, and she had absolutely no idea what he said. Sure, Amaya was older than most people who looked as young as she looked, but she wasn't old enough to understand what he was saying. Or perhaps it was a new sort of slang word. He was a kid, after all. Sometimes children make up words. She was grateful for Hikari's attempt at defending her, but she wasn't sure if the child were even insulting her or not. "I'm not sure what you said, child, but I'm going to have to take that bottle away from you."
Either Amaya didn't sense the danger this child could possibly possess or she didn't care. Her morals were just too strong. Reaching forward, she held her hand out to the child for the bottle. "Please hand it over. You're much too young to be drinking something like that." Her eyes flickered over towards the cute Asian, looking for support.
She was really wanting to just get the bottle away from the kid and to go back to flirting with Hikari.

Pleasant laughed at the two, a laugh that usually didn't leave his lips but it was most likely to all the alcohol now in his little system. "Ah yes," he giggled again sounding so much like the child he looked, "I reckon that word is a tad to old for the likes of yous."
Though this party had done what he hoped it would, all those annoying thoughts about his 'children'. He moved quickly, much quicker than he probably should have in front of people that didn't know of his secret, just out of the woman's grasp as she tried to take the bottle away. Pleasant took another swig just to prove his point that it was indeed his now and he would make sure it stayed that way.
"And even after I gave a wench like you such a compliment," he pouted looking up at Amaya, "Even if you do smell a little too salty for my tastes and yet you repay me with trying ot take my drink away." His drunken state taking quite an effect on his emotions and what he did and what he let slip out of his mouth.

They hunt you, Lucifer's Angel. Never lived, Never died YOUR LIFE HAS BEEN DENIED THEY CALL YOU, THE LUCIFER'S ANGEL ----------------------------------------------------------------- The smile only seemed to grow as he heard the growl coming from deep within her. It got his own self excited for a bit of a game, maybe of chase? "Oh, so now your an angry kitty cat?" he asked moving closer, he was not about to let her out of his sight or reach for that matter. No, by the looks of things this was only just starting.
Leo answered her growl with a deep one of his own, one much fitting to that horse sized beast he truly was. He wasn't going to at first, just follow her and see how far he could push her but he was much to excited to care about little plans now. All that seemed to occupy that mind of his now was playing chase with the one before him. Oh, how fitting of a cat and dog chase for island such as this.
His eyes grew darker as he followed her still as she kept trying to put distance between them. "Why do you want to leave me now? If I remember correctly you are just supposed to be a boring girl with a book, not very impulsive. What happened to that?"

Esther moved past people heading towards the party, many murmuring how glad they were to be rid of the witch and his mate. It seemed even if they'd done all they can to help the island there would still be a good number who would not like anyone with too much power. She walked, her pace picking up a bit as she heard the other behind her.
There were two things Esther liked here in a place where luxuries were not often something one comes by: Being able to continue to learn unimpeded and her privacy. Her privacy was important, her own slow acceptance of what she was as well as what it seemed her other half was capable of had left her feeling more exposed and so when someone just casually brought it up like the one following her now it irked her a little as if he was trying to take a piece of her away by calling her "kitty" or "kitten". It didn't really help either that the pet names almost seemed to have a tone as if implying she had no power...
The edge of her dress fluttered against her legs as she her pace grew another beat quicker, feet making little sound against the grass and sand mixed together before moving onto the hard soil as she got closer to the forest. Her hands were in her hoodie's pocket, she had no weapons, but she felt safer as her body was held tighter together the pressure making her feel her own control that slowly was beginning to unravel. Looking back over her shoulder she just barely slowed herself down.
The growl before, she felt something inside her rise like a wave, her own body physically trembling at the pressure, gaze wavering for a moment before she turned back away from him, "I'm leaving because I really have no interest in playing with animals." And if i stay here any longer I'm not sure if I can avoid my own. She silently added as she finally broke her pace, close enough now to the line of trees as she began to jog quickly, "Not stop following me!" She shouted before she hit the trees, once she felt the branches trying to grab her the jog became a run as she was enveloped into the darkness of the island's night.

The conversation with Pleasant was going right over the little Asian's head, partly because of the alcohol, but it couldn't all be blamed on that. The kid seemed to be speaking cryptically. If he was even a kid at all. Hikari didn't know why he got that idea, or even what it really meant, but his intuition was never wrong. It was one of the reasons he was able to get out of bad situations relatively unscathed. Most people called it luck.
He also felt like the kid just wanted to be left alone with his drink. He, of all people, could understand that.
He put a hand on Amaya's shoulder, firm but gentle, a silent signal that it might be a good idea to leave Pleasant to his own devices.
"Maybe we should go somewhere a little less crowded, eh, Amaya?" he suggested with a smile, hoping she would let the kid alone. He admired her sense of morality, but he didn't know if it was such a good idea in this case. "I've set up camp down the beach just a little ways from here."

They hunt you, Lucifer's Angel. Never lived, Never died YOUR LIFE HAS BEEN DENIED THEY CALL YOU, THE LUCIFER'S ANGEL ----------------------------------------------------------------- Leo followed the girl at his own pace, a nice walk with his hands hidden in his pockets. She was definitely ahead of him but he could still see her and if worst came to worst, he had her scent now as well. As far as Leo was concerned, she was doomed to become his newest in that long line of chew toys. "Oh but you are such a pretty kitty," he cooed like he was talking to a little kitten from the pet store rather than a woman yelling at him. He continued to follow only stopping for a brief moment when she said to stop following. Though in his defense, she didn't say how long to stop following her. He watched her escape into the woods with a grin on his face as he passed other party goers to wards the woods. "Such a silly kitty kitty," he said with a laugh as he made it to the woods. Then with that he took off after her.
